  1. Bought one to me last week with NO MOT on it , the driver had no idea , Good luck with Nottingham
  2. Say that again , some of the prices yesterday were eye watering . Did you also know BCA / WBAC actively go through the adverts looking for private cars to buy , they have dedicated staff to do the job and trawl the country .
  3. I'm certainly not reliant on trade with the EU , But i remember when two friends lost their trawlers after the EU stole their fishing grounds , one committed suicide actually his losses were so high , We lost touch with great traders after we joined the Common mkt and wasn't allowed to trade with them, after that it got worse . So trading deals works both ways in my view and i have never liked the close shop EU way . Regards my customers and yours , My view again is there will be customers in abundance when we get Britain back under our control again and stop the EU taking our factories and work out of this country , Plenty of British people would like the work I bet and that's were all our customers are , give people the work and pay them " they will spend it if they have it in their pockets " that money is no good for Britain if its in a Dutch/French/Polish/ workers pocket . We cant pay them if we don't make things , That's were my customers are . Regard trading with the EU , what on gods earth makes people think the EU farmers , Car Makers , Wine cheese and anything else trades wont want to trade with us after we leave , we want Britain back not build a bloody wall , we like our EU friends , its not war . We just need control back . watch others leave when we go . I for one don't believe a down turn is heading our way , but we need out before we lose anything else , to make it work , or we will get the euro , and a bunch of rules and they will bleed us dry doing it .
  4. The economy is heading up not down isn't it ,making our own choices will be the benefit not the disaster but that's brexit and its also very British . Every business that goes to the wall has done something wrong THEMSELVES not Brexit , Not the lack of trade , not the so called lack of customers . They actually stretched their business with too heavy a loans , Stock funded , overdrafts , finance loans , 2nd mortgages and the rest they get up to . Looks good , even great on paper but they just push too FAR . They forget that a loan is there in principle to making money to invest BACK in the business not spend on houses, holidays, and whatever else . So those that choose this way to achieve the business are their own regression in the making if they don't control it , some lots don't . I feel for those who go under for genuine reasons , but the high flying loan mad junkies that go bust , " good riddance i say " I was taught the hard way , sell invest , sell invest , slower i admit& harder oh it is , but when it gets going and the takings are yours as well as the profits its a nice feeling as many of you old school traders will agree with .
  5. Agree with your thoughts all the way .
  6. You wont catch me buying an electric bike there's a camper van place next door and hes got one , Spezialised I think its called ,£7,000 its cost he said , I pinch it for fetching milk and take it in the shop too
  7. 5.0litre V8 petrol is the way to go and an electric push bike for the city 25 mph down the pavement , its sooooo much fun watching em jump , not so good today though its persisting down with the wet stuff , solution ! "stay out the towns on wet days "
  8. Casper its like bloody monsoon season here , going to start selling boats soon , " now there's a thought " Sat was torrential all day , but we had the busiest day for a long time think they were bored and bought cars instead of anything else . Raining now and just sold two in the last hour , Buying them is fecking hard though , Might have to buy a few Water Skiing boats , Thought about selling caravans for two milliseconds , but i don't think i could with all honesty talk to people about where the bloody bed is , how big the cooker is and can you get three people in a cold shower for a group cuddle .
  9. My sons a mechanical prep genius my friend , that's my secret weapon . Regarding the no losses well I'm known as the smiling assassin here , a loss isn't acceptable in my head .
  10. You need a mechanic not a forum pal . Give chosen mechanic some folding notes and he will diagnose it for you , Simples really
  11. I'm not into these things being a coincidence really , we've all had this happen , but this car in question was stood a while which is not good for battery life , ran ok for a short distance to fuel st then pooped its self when customers have the doors open , lights on radio on heated rear screen and every bloody electric switch they can find to prove it works on , just seems like a killer switch to a weak battery , Iv'e even had customers look like they are trying to flatten the battery to have a moan , we now have a policy " No keys unless we are with the car " No bonnets open unless we are present , Customer DONT remove oil caps , dipsticks , radiator caps or operate switches . Funny enough that so called coincidence has never happened again .
  12. I don't understand that question ?
  13. Did it say stocking loan ? Did you see the report ? I still wouldn't be happy without a clear report , if its a stocking loan ask the dealer to clear it before you buy it . then get proof , at that point your ok .
  14. Makes me wonder if they tried every electrical switch and function in the car , ignition on , lights on , radio , aircon , fans , interior lights , Without the engine running , Result Flat battery . Electric seats flatten batteries like nothing else , so do heated seats , Seen it happen often and now I only leave the keys with them while I'm next to them . So i can switch it off .
  15. What did you expect from a warranty company , listed parts are covered , NON Listed parts are not covered . Simples really if you think about it .
  16. Car Guru free adverts get emails from the customer , but they haven't got any contact info for you , return emails go back to car Guru and that in my mind is were the problem is . The customer gets an email and it normally lands in their junk box . Hence the email doesn't get answered . When you swap to a paid advert its a different process and the customer gets the emails . Hence they have more opportunity to answer
  17. Mallard Finance No mileage restrictions finance is their thing www.mallardfinance.co.uk 01206 243100 Dead easy to work with too .
  18. There is going to be some serious money lost selling used cars this way isn't there , they have zero idea about what will be involved in prep , servicing , cleaning standards , MOT advisories , then as you point out , distance selling , soon as people get into the fact they can send it back its a free car isn't it , enough time for a holiday trip , park it at the airport and send it back .
  19. We have never in all the years we've done this ever been asked those questions . Just filled a V62 , sometimes we have known the previous post code , mostly we haven't got the post code though like the one last night . Took V62 to post office with new keepers name address , paid £25 because we didn't know the previous post code , Post office taxed the car and the girl will get her V5 in due course as normal .
  20. Sell the Mazda , far less hassle , the bloody car will never work anyway , Except to spend upwards of 15k on a good scanner that works on everything .
  21. Iv'e just been to the post office with a V62 to tax the car that hasnt got a V5 , put it in the customers name on V62 , taxed it and thats all done , Customer due in 30 mins and its taxed and in her name , so she will get the new V5 delivered to her house .
  22. But if I'm honest they were in the screen half hidden , On the NIP there was NO mention of the plate number , Just the cars reg plate . Plus the plates are registered at the garage and the car was from BCA who have my house as the registered address which is were the NIP was posted to. That's why I'm thinking the camera crew picked it up from DVLA Was quite funny too as I told the test driver the Camera van was there , two cars flashed their lights and he ignored all the hints just said these cars are quick aren't they so 43 mph cost him points and a £100 silly guy Not that i like the robbing money making low life's that sit in the fecking vans robbing people mind , remember the days when Cops told folk to slow down , much better system wasn't it .
  23. Hi How does a car in trade that's not on the MID get a NIP sent to my house 4 days after my customer went through a camera quoting the reg number on the NIP , so its not the trade plate number that they quoted but trade plates are on the MID . Was we found by trade plate number then ?
