  1. Thats not good . How did the car get to Lookers ? What sort of motor was it ?
  2. What a pair of plonkers . I would have had to say something to them
  3. I was thinking this , the chassis number must be different and will give the police the correct plate number for the smashed up car .
  4. Don't waste your money pal , Every one I've ever seen are complete Shite . They dare not tell you its a good car because if you find a fault you blame them . If they say its got issues , you believe them and you don't get the car , but they get your money . All they do is drink coffee write a report to their benefit and take your dosh .
  5. I might join the private bit . Is it fun ?
  6. Shhh Don't shout too loud , Good job the wife cant get on here Sue doesn't need blowing up any more , Lets just say she wouldn't drown . As for boobs " I really don't know what you mean Trade Girl " Thought we were the subject of boobs oops i meant tyres
  7. An Auctioneer called Sue charges a lot more the 20p to blow anything Iv'e been told , But she certainly isn't deflated . Could be the person to contact , then your tyre would get blown and your deflation wouldn't be a problem any longer .
  8. Why on gods earth would you want to be the cheapest in 60 miles
  9. Pull it out all the way , wipe clean with damp cloth , Spray silicone on mech and the belt , they just get clogged
  10. It works , she tried it , only she got excited about lol
  11. You need a couple of ideas in your head of how to close the deal , Plant the seed that its a nice car on the test drive , find out before the test drive if they have looked at more of the same model . Coming to the end of the test drive ask the question " Well it drives nice doesn't it ? I would think you like it too ? As you get back to the office and out the car the closure question . Do you like enough to buy it then ? and i'll get the tea on while we do the paper work . Why ? because lots of times sales are lost because the trader doesn't close and the customer doesn't know what comes next , so they wander off till I get them and close the deal
  12. That's very good basic business sense . My sales techniques offer more advice about the days weather than the car . They will decide to buy from you or not , let them choose . Answer questions with a very short yes or no eg "how many services ? , the answer is 6 " NOT 1 at BMW in , 2 at jack spratts garage on and 3 more at John jones but it needs another in 3,000 miles . , details kills sales because who your talking to doesn't understand anything about a cars working . Q ;Has the chain been replaced? , Answer is "the chain on this car is absolutely fine" because they are not looking for it to be changed but they've read on google that the chain goes wrong , so assurance is needed in their mind that this one is no problem . Be sure its ok though of course , reputation is important
  13. Extremely good looking £450 px 22yrs and on her own She was in good hands Casper and so was my bank account cant use the heated wheel for four months either
  14. Just had a girl in for a new car , 65 plate Corsa she wants , Has a 08 plate corsa now to PX , 60,000 miles to which says there's no service history "its been serviced cos daddy has arranged it " she had no idea what a service was . Wants to sell her car because she wants Blue tooth and her friend has one with heated steering wheel so she wants that too Condition of car , service history , two keys , New MOT , Nearly new tyres , Just serviced ,how much her car was worth doesn't mean squat to her , wasn't even listening Colour , Blue tooth , Heated Wheel , was the search priority then monthly payments was next , Propped finance and she sat trembling for 3 mins till they said accepted and she jumped for joy . I probably need to look at a different approach to selling cars as this is now the norm here , different world to mine .
  15. Its the modern car that's shite more than BCA I reckon . The problem started with making these cheap little Shitty cars cos people only know CHEAP the general public have forgotten the phrase " Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten " They just pass the problem on down the line now ,
  16. Depends if its a car we stock as far as I'm concerned . If it is I ask for a time scale of 1 month and £1,000 up front . If it isnt a car we stock I ask for 50% of retail price . eg A guy asks me to source a BMW 320d Convertible in white with Black Leather yesterday , he's got 10k to spend so I said I don't stock those so I need 5k . He wanted to look round it first he said then make his mind up . Its A BORIS NO DEAL THEN I SAID
  17. You wont lose £500 pal my god who knocks £500 off for another owner , get online and print a V62 off , customer comes for car then just take him/her to post office to tax it , End of drama
  18. Great sale , Well done in the end it all worked out
  19. They were better than the later ones for sure , the later turbo ones are a lot less reliable . We have done the same and sold no end of Cooper S turbo ones and the JCW 's but they have all required Chains , Tensioners , Turbo Pipes , Piston Rings , De Cokes , just to name a few, not high miles either . .
  20. A Cooper S probably will want 4k spent on it , "Joking " er maybe not
