  1. that's a really good opener in my mind . "[ rrrrring rrrrring ] Good morning its Nacman cars ,,,, [customer] " Hello were outside a scrap yard , " Oh ok that's not the place to buy your next car is it , is the scrap yard on your right or left " . ok well let me tell how to find me and your next car then " See nac man you've put yourself over as humorous , nice ,well mannered sales guy before they've even met you, with just making the positive out of the so called negative . Lead into meeting them with haha now you can see we don't sell scrap , its that google maps thing " total pain it is ", come in and let me show you this lovely car .
  2. All sales are recorded to DVLA , some at auction come with no yellow slip , some do . We know two girls who work at BCA and their job is to record sales of trader name to DVLA online . So if you bought an auction car DVLA would have it in trade as your company name eg Lakeside cars Copy of invoice sorts that out pal , but in reality it doesn't always get reported to DVLA ,
  3. Autotrader follow google I'm thinking , cant see you getting anything from them , it wont stop customers coming either , they just arrive outside the scrap yard and ring to ask where you are after following their sat nav . Still happens with us , customer rings and says cant find you were outside a post office
  4. All the yellow slips are completed online casper at Auction and if I bought a car at auction it would be in my trade name on DVLA Records , If I then sold you that same car I write to DVLA and give them your Trade name . Our exchanged invoices prove ownership of the car . If you have a car bought from a trader who has not told DVLA its now yours he/she would get the NIP " notice of prosecution " as the car would be recorded as theirs still on DVLA Records . He/she would then return the NIP with your details and a copy of the invoice between yourselves . You are then liable unless you can prove it was not you . Hence with test drives you need to record the drivers details who was driving , Photo copy their licence and write eg 22nd sept 3pm White fiesta , AB 14 ABC returned at 3.25 pm just incase they speed thru a camera and the NIP comes to you .
  5. Lets hope that is the case for him Casper , I'm all for high turn and a pink car would scare me to death . Sold eight today and no one mentioned pink
  6. salmon pink , mmmmm could be the problem that colour as to why its not selling , cuts 98% of the interested parties out ringing you I bet. Only two people will be interested in that car , the customer who sold you the car , and you who needs to sell it , Good luck with that sale . Might be better on face book with that colour ,
  7. face book . probably when pissed in the pub . The suspense has to be hidden till the votes are in
  8. Click Dealer DMS system is connected to their web site set up , Invoices for cars and other invoices for repairs and that " all numbered " , Gabriel , VAT , Buying a car invoice , PX Records , The amount you spent on the stock cars and a list of profits after that spend , finance commissions on tap , all at the touch of the key board etc . Great system . Oh and the web site as well of course .
  9. Only have room for 30 advertised on AT and 25 on car guru . We stock 20 /30 on sale , and 5 always being prepped to replace , we do sell cars that don't get to the advert stage too, like this week so far we have sold 5 to previous customers and two walk ins , those cars never hit the online airwaves Its a continuous circle
  10. There is some serious losses on this thread , Giving me heart palpitations reading this Christ almighty if I lost some of these figures I would never recover my sanity . I lost a £5 note 2nd August 1984 , it fell out of my pocket when i was riding back from the bike shop after collecting my new Yamaha FJ 1100 and that fiver still haunts me to this day .
  11. That's the spirit pal , your starting the journey of blaming your self by making Changes . But there's NO suppose , take it from me and lots of others on here , its not easy but we made changes along the way , no sitting on your bum waiting for the phone to annoy you . make that phone ring , the power is your fingers
  12. Done three today , two lined up for Done three today all left the building , one gone out from yesterday and two lined up to view tomorrow with deposits . Turned an offer down on a little Auto with only 4,000 miles on clock , £6k on screen and the lunatic rings me four times today then offers £5k You have my number he says so think about it , " thought about pal NO " cheek of them ," oh and I don't ring back so don't sit near the phone waiting for a call " If your not busy Nacman its your fault , nothing to do with the economy , brexit , or any other lame excuse , Rule number one of business Nacman is blame yourself
  13. We did have a run of Cooper S and JCW Minis over last two years , must have rebuilt at least 10 of the bloody things , piston rings stick , timing chain and tensioners , Turbo feed pipes , Gummed up with Carbon ,New plugs just to name a few problems Bloody things are a pain in the arse , but We've always made money out of them , Too high in the miles and to cheap now though to spend money on , Shame .
  14. Wow , they must have seen where you parked the px cars and thought i know , Cheeky twats . Bet you still cant believe you fell for that trick , He would have had a visit from my reclaim adjustment team
  15. £50 is all I will take on the phone Casper . just shows commitment from customer, Come and see it and then leave the other £450 on Chip & Pin is my rule .
  16. If you took £7,750 over the phone you will lose the lot if its a stolen card . If he paid chip and pin on the card at your premises your safe . Its what the pin number is for , shows customer contact . its that simple really . Only take the amount of money on the phone that you are prepared to lose was what I was always told . had two old dears once try and buy a Megane R26 once and wanted to pay on the phone , i took the details of the card but didn't take the money and reported it , it was a stolen card in the end . I feel for you if you do lose the £7,750 and the car of course ,
  17. Had a guy bring an Audi in for px , We priced it up , did the deal and he said I'll pick it up next week . Ok Next week comes and the Audi he bought was looking like a different car Parcel shelf GONE Brake Discs Changed from the new ones to Knackered ones back and front , Continental Tyres were now Ling Long Chinese Ditch finders Head Rests GONE , Spare Wheel GONE Engine Cover Gone . Floor Mats GONE He had sold them to his mate he said, because it was being part exchanged . I kept his £1,000 deposit and sent him home , never saw him again Thieving Twat
  18. Brisk from Auto Smart is a 98% fix we find . We run it through a wet vac with hot water , BUT ; Stubborn stains i spray Brisk on the seat nearly Neat then apply steam while rubbing with a Brush or use the steamers own brush if its part of the kit , we have a high pressure steamer , while its still boiling hot wet Vac it out , works a treat . As Casper says steam on the head lining brings it up like new .
  19. Trade insurance is a mine field , find a Broker is best advice , one that suits me wont suit you . You dont have to warrant a car at all if you dont want , various companies exist fro 3rd party to self funded CAP To buy and Glasses to Sell , that's an interesting concept . never heard that one .
  20. You gave away a whole car to a customer because of a court case , What on gods earth was the claim for that needed the whole car giving away ?
  21. You don't actually deserve to sell a car to anyone with that attitude pal , Taking money for a potential death is worth a good slap in my opinion . Every car we have bought needs something doing , and it gets done as well . People like you give us all a bad name . So i think you might be better looking for a shelf stacking job at Asda .
  22. Hi Jordan This guy is trying to pull a scam on you my friend , Found fault fixed it , found fault fixed , now found faults and wants you to pay . You offered money back and now he wants more than he paid you for unknown fixes , Scammer that's what my head tells me . Reply from me would be , BRING IT BACK NOW , BRING PROOF OF FAULTS FOUND AND HOW YOU FIXED THEM . Don't answer texts as hes winding you up and texts achieve NOTHING . face to face end of , these types need a conclusion as all they want is MONEY out of your wallet ,
  23. I have heard that one as well . , You didn't tell me i had a lump to pay at the end .
  24. soon be claiming they were dying of food poisoning on holiday , getting pay outs for that next
