David Horgan replied to BIGNIT's topic in General Dealer Chat
No point if you don't get FCA approved , not difficult , then you can choose who to deal with and attain some commission too , No Brainer -

I've sold 8 cars this month upto now on Prime Finance MOTO NOVO & Close Brothers ranging from Three at £3,295 , £7995, £8295 ,Two at £ 10749 , £14995 These are cars I wouldn't of sold as soon otherwise in my opinion if I waited for a debit card customer . . Never had one bounce back either . But I don't entertain Subprime deals , my advice to them is sort your life out , get your credit history repaired and start again . If they cant get prime rates they cant afford to run the car , but that's my thinking . -
Look forward to a few posts RA Welcome

Ban on diesel cars proposed for Bristol
David Horgan replied to John Bowman's topic in General Dealer Chat
Haha that made me laugh , 2litre diesel car on back of 6 litre delivery truck because cars are banned , typical modern Finking that isn't it When I was a lad we recycled everything Milk In Glass bottles Cabbages in News paper Fruit in Paper bags Pop Bottles in glass Fish n chips in Paper Electric Milk carts Then the modern youf changed it all didn't they and now blame us -
Been there done Pilots on my previous XFR ,shredding the Pilots was my problem Good tyre but longevity wasn't their strong point Think its the dry grip or lack of ,that was my problem , seeing as I only drive 99% of the time in dry weather I went back to Dunlops . Cant see the point of driving it in the rain with the extra power it carries ,touching base at close to 700 bhp at remap , Church ladies in Punto's leave me at the lights in the rain plus it gets dirty

Audi A5 S tronic, the reliable one
David Horgan replied to andymc1973's topic in General Dealer Chat
We had an S Tronic last year , coming to a halt it launched into 1st gear instead of 2nd , then shuddered slightly moving off . My Son looked at fixing it and it was circa £2k for the parts for him to do it himself . we bought it right and sold on Ebay , lets say it left for Poland shortly after at a medium to healthy profit , This guy was going to convert it to left hand drive he said , paid up and left . happy days . CRAP gear boxes . Hope you get out of it ok -

Funny how if you pay MONEY to the council its ok to drive vans in the city isn't it . Either Diesels are bad or they aren't , A daily charge doesn't make it better does it , Like London Congestion Charge , they now pay to queue it was free to queue before wasn't it . Bit like speeding tickets from cameras , SPEED KILLS they say , then they charge you £100 for 35mph so its ok how the devil does that work . Just been talking to a ex traffic cop friend of mine about bad driving in this heavy rain , he hates cameras and said when he was on duty he stopped offenders and gave them a talking too , think it was called education then What it really wants is no one to drive into Bristol or anywhere else that bans cars , only need one week and they would change instantly Mind maybe not Corbyn or the Libs /Green idiots they haven't a clue about businesses full stop Rant over I'm going for dinner now -
Only tyre I can get that's Jaguar rated here is DUNLOP , Good tyres on the car though , I do like them
-
I've always fitted DUNLOPS Jag Rated Tyres as its what they came with . Rears £360 inc VAT a pair , Fronts £240 Inc VAT a pair , Tyre Price above pal . Road tax lol "who cares " with that amount of power
-
Sorry N Your post fuelled a fast car topic , It happens
-
700 bhp wet road , touch the gas and it spins , lift touch and it spins , gentle momentum and get it going yes , but the punto was then in front and the lanes closed lol Inexperienced drivers should not turn traction off oh no oh my god no . two ways to turn it off , limited and then OFF boy that's fun but the world turns sideways Yes its manageable but its not for the inexperienced , Number of 360's rotations would be my guess before reversing thru the hedge in a pile of tyre smoke
-
Has to be done , It actually changes the whole dynamics of the car , Side ways everywhere , I always have a play when tyres get to 3mm then fit new ones cos they just go smooth in a day I absolutely love these cars , the sound , handling and Torque are just addictive aren't they , if it hasn't had the rear boxes changed you honestly must do it , Enjoy the power On a wet road they are embarrassing sometimes , Set of lights near us one Sunday , Hissing down with rain , Punto on lights with old lady in it , left me for dead , I couldn't get the power down she was laughing at me bless her , Made her church run anyway
-
I'm Voting V8's petrol But I might let the wife have electric , stop her putting her foot down as much . Just had a new XFR , smaller super charger pulley , rear boxes replaced with smaller stainless ones , re map 700 bhp and sounds like heaven on tarmac Good luck with the dreams mind , cant beat an achiever looking for better things

Hi N The humorous intro made me laugh welcome aboard

One guy in Notts BCA doesn't even look at them properly , just wanders round noting a few things down , I wouldn't pay him in bent washers . All this appraisal looks good on paper or when they all talk about ,it but in reality how can it work . They can only use set phrases to describe what they see if they look in the first place .
-
Every single BCA has a different set of standards when looking at grading cars . As BHM Says we see it all the time when at auctions , Complete chunks of mis described crap going online for good money . Poor Previous repair , Whole side of car Badly painted Windscreen missed on report , Cracked . Pan Roof Cracked , Not on report

Had one of those on Toyota , Bought the car and came back with his mate dressed from top to toe in SNAP ON , hat , coat boots gloves the bloody lot was brand new They came back to announce the clutch was make a loud clicking noise , metallic click Mr Snap On said . My son confronted him with , " Mate its the Air Con Clicking " and proceeded to explain how the air con worked and why it clicked , then pointed to where the clutch was and said" its on the other side of the car pal , " I chirped up that i thought he would have known that dressed in SNAP ON Then they left

Finance companies that pay commissions aren't going to interested in you without VAT I wouldn't imagine . You wouldn't generate enough business under 85k VAT limit to warrant their interest . Just look for a broker and use it to sell the odd car that needs finance , Orange Motor Finance will help you , Ask for Carrie she is really nice and helpful .
