call your dealer name knightsbridgeautos.co.uk then at least your web address appears in the advert and customers can copy and paste it into their browser

IMHO that's their get out clause post sale, so it was alright when they sold it. was the roof up or down as it went through the ring? Did you get anything in writing from blackbushe about the fault or just verbal. Why don't you ask lawgistics their advice.

different cars are more desirable in different area's for instance 4x4's are more desirable in Scotland and wales especially in the winter, automatics in London etc etc

I think you have either 24 or 48 hours from time of sale to make a claim. Not exactly sure on the time scale as I always pay the greedy buggers that little bit more for them to deliver just to give me that little extra breathing space to report any issues.
-
you have to speak to the online team at Measham, they will then normally ask you to take it too one of their approved garages for inspection and try and work something out. If the repair is less than £150 they normally just give you authorisation without an inspection. To qualify for the above you must of used their transport to deliver it to you, marked the fault on the delivery notes and reported it within 24 hours of delivery. In the past I've found them to be reasonable as long as it's not going to cost them a fortune to fix otherwise they'll probably refund you and put it back through the block without a condition report and let some other poor bugger have it dropped on their toes. Good luck

Phil H replied to James Baggott's topic in General Dealer Chat
James I think I can help you with this, I'll give you a call on Monday with my idea. Or feel free to give me a call over the weekend I'll pm you my number -
I got the same notice come up the other day after the style was changed but it gave me the option to turn them off so I did. try this, go in your account settings and you'll see other settings, in there you've got the option to turn various notifications off.
-
what do the notifications say and is it only on websites or on every program you open?
-
turn on your pop up blocker in you browser settings GG

never judge a book by it's cover, I once worked at a rover dealership and every sunday at 2pm a scruffy looking man would always come and look through the window and ogle an MG Montego Turbo with his KFC dinner in his hand, everybody else wouldn't even go an speak to him, I'd always go and say hello and give him the time of day, after about 18 months of this happening he came in one monday and ordered a new car for his wife, himself and his mother, Turns out he was a senior partner in a firm of solicitors who just liked to dress scruffy of a weekend. Ended up supplying all of his office staff as well.

Sorry you feel that way RS, but like most of you probably are I'm sick to the teeth of the mainstream auction companies auctioneers and the way that they think it's acceptable to continually trot you up to the price on the sheet and above when there's blatantly no one else bidding, but they know we need the stock. This affects our profit margins and it was a simple question to see if CD's mentality was different. because if it is I for one would certainly register for an account and try them out. IMHO an auctions job is to get the vendor the best price on the day and not to take money unnecessarily out of my pocket with blind bids.
-
Tell me Edward are your auctioneers different from the big boys whose auctioneers seem to take pleasure by bouncing bids of the walls and making you pay well over the odds for stock or do they do it like it should be done and work for both the vendor and the buyer?

that's another source of stock which will soon be made more expensive for us when Motorpoint float on the stock market and have the Greedy shareholders to answer to. Wonder if they'll go down the arrogant attitude route like AT and wreck it?
-
don't know where you are located but my lads an apprentice on the spanners and he got his placement through the north west training council, every region has something similar so you could try calling them and they will probably be able to give you the number for your local organisation
-
don't be afraid of life without AT, lots of people have done it and are not regretting it, speak to jim reid and I'm sure he'll help you with using Facebook he's found it to be very lucrative for him.

Fix It Again Tomorrow
-
it's all subbied out to the likes of autoclenz, chips away, wheel wizard etc. Imho your only lining the pockets of their shareholders' and would get a better job arranging it yourself then at least you can see the quality of workmanship before paying
-
yes William same engine as Vauxhall use but it's a fiat engine
-
try one these common faults, map sensor on the back of the engine quite often block with carbon and easily cleaned out with a paper clip but make sure you clean it out with the hole facing downwards, secondly try putting a turbo boost sensor not very expensive last one I bought was only about £40 from the dealers. Another thing that can cause this fault is the metal pipe on the rhs of the engine going to the egr can block and needs cleaning out. Any more advice needed just ask sold loads of these 1.3 engines over the years.
