  1. Been through two of them, yes its tough yes its hard, what i learned from them was keep your overheads as low as you can, those to hit the walls first are the ones with brand new cars on drip her indoors has a car on drip and so on.
  2. I would pay and have dealer level diagnostics done, I hate generic codes
  3. To be fair they made a killing on commission from Subaru Jackets and pens.

  6. This is how we use it and it works well. Ifs not going anywhere and only going to get bigger. traders love to hate it down the block normally the ones who used to sell there stock in the local evening post classifieds.
  7. Nothing wrong with newbies we all started somewhere, instant like from me for doing your own homework and not expecting a golden ticket response from the members. Lone thing I would point out that is don’t underestimate how much time even a few cars around you will take up, I note you didn’t want to go back into full time work, this industry full time is only the half amount of hours you will end up putting in.
  8. May play a small part, the big boys are happy to throw millions at anything these days so sales cant be the only reason, Lexus are flying with there plug in toasters so the sales are out there to be had.
  9. Would love to be a fly on the wall behind there real reasons for taking such an action. The mind boggles
  10. Or the start up questions have finally pushed him over the edge
  11. One of my best months of the year being a first time buyer specialist (I don’t like that word but couldn’t think of another) We have a big rush of parents grand parents buying cars for there beloved off spring I am even starting to source additional stock to be advertising heavily at the start of November. Lots of cheesy Santa adds can see bhm turning his screen of as I type.
  12. Leominster is about the worst I have ever heard guy keeps talking about chickens and the number two, even had a funny video on you tube once not sure if it’s still there.

  14. bit pretentious for me happy to be a3 plus 360 wouldnt allow the cross dresser jokes i have had to put up with for years now.
  15. Worth a shot but i was the same as TV but could email my copies but still waiting now been 2 weeks.
  16. Some drivers just talk rubbish some are helpful who is who will become clear over time, bread and butter stuff is sometimes hard work as a lot of dealers look to make money on finance, I have found margins are tighter than ever this year. Comes down to what you can add value to. i really so enjoy the cut and thrust of an auction.
  17. You could have just test driven it and saved yourself all the grief, not sure where your from but down my way the consumer are not the biggest liars and cheats that award still belongs to some dealer auction sellers. I world say it’s called knowing your market if some pulls up in an auto first thing I check is the box, if someone wants to chop in a fiat panda first thing I check is the rear axle, I could go on but I am sure you get my drift.
  18. we sent the car to a peugeot specialist for the second time which they had the car for over 2 months and they can't find any misfiring and customer not happy with that. ? Was there any negative info on the previous mot's
  19. They had the car for two months !! yikes hardly sound very special to me.
  20. Nahhh air box off and away you go there is a pin there that also makes neutral stiff thats a pig of job
  21. Also a lot of traders walk away from mini's thinking its a box issue and the gear box cables often rot which is a semi easy cheap fix crunching ect i always have a punt on them.
  22. All depends on what kind of stock you keep and how good your mechanic is, for example you could offer reversing sensors there cheap to buy easy to fit fully color coded for £199 or hands free car kits, remote central locking upgrades, dab modules Take the farther who just bought his daughter a shiny new Peugeot 107 standard radio crap standard front speakers shocking, we do an audio upgrade which replaces the stock head unit for one with DAB hands free aux input bluetooth streaming and front speakers changed for £299, sell it to the farther that his daughter will not be driving on the phone ect charges her phone so on so on item added to sale. Pulls in an extra £180 profit for 30 mins work.
  23. he might as well point out the customer before the customer goes off into the sunset and then finds the reg plate isnt being excepted in the usual search engines they will only ring him back thinking the worst.
  24. chock full of traders and prices are sky high, hmmm, maybe there sky high as there are lots of people in there who can live on £400 a car.
