  1. Save you some time there is no way to bend the rules sooner or later you end up with a big fine or in the dock. You only have to look at the recent news with footballers and managers being stung for millions no matter how big you are or how clever your accountants are they all get caught sooner or later.
  2. Not a cats chance in hell of that getting past, get the lube out or thst inspection is going to hurt when it comes. Just curious how he deals with a warranty claim ? Accounting wise
  3. If I had a like button I would be hitting it hard cheers for the heads up it’s good to see banks doing what they should.
  4. Tried a similar kit a while back and my tech is very handy turn his hand to most things but has to be said he made a right pigs ear of it, so we use a local guy who in a former life must be a magician.
  5. Not sure about your every day transaction but as a building company think they see us as a target similar to a car trader over a private seller. And yep they defo do it, we have seen our build warranty costs almost treble in the last five year alone.
  6. Its not just the motor trade its everywhere, the dawn of the no win no fee parasites has changed the legal landscape forever. I have a customer who is emailing me constantly about a house they bought from me six months ago claiming the velux window in the attic is in the wrong place and "fails to afford him the best sunlight it should have been six feet over" After several emails to ensure it wasnt an early April fools joke i finally replied the best i could do was send around a team of carpenters to pad his attic with white soft furnishings and ensure all possible sharp objects are out of harms way as you clearly need that kind of environment. Hi replied with you will be hearing from my solicitors, to which i replied what with very loud laughter. He has now been resigned to the spam folder so i dont have to listen to any more dribble.
  7. Once any judge sees you trying to wiggle out of your rights with this 50/50 dribble you will be skating on thin ice.
  8. I thought it was the RS6 that went ceramic might be totally wrong never owned any of them, my bill on the sq7 was bad enough.
  9. What’s worse is they must have driven past me and I have two of them
  10. Yikes not for us, as an avid reader of the detailing world forum offers often pop up for the latest product and the reviews are great as well, i think in all honestly we spend far to much time on polish prep.
  11. Most of that price will thr original set up once they have your logo next item you order will be cheaper. i be amazed if you can beat there quality of garment.
  12. I use them both and find the prices on bread and butter slightly cheaper at bca, however manhiem. Bristol has a lane from our local days ie ford main dealer which does add credibility when selling a fiesta to have it stamped from our local dealer.
  13. Go direct it’s the same price or often cheaper, for such a big company there happy to supply one or two garments which is great.
  14. Has to be dickies amazing product very hard wearing, cracking value and top service. Once they have your logo they can put it into any of there products.
  15. Just looking at the lawgistics sample booklet just wondering what people put in for claims limit ? do you use a percentage of the cars sale value.
  16. I often take a sabbatical from here, when your having a bad month and you see people are flying or the same old question day in day out that kind of thing doesnt help ones blood pressure.
  17. Does the car have a total close facility ie turn and hold the key, seen similar fault on a polo go down once which took the windows out.
  18. If you have a cleaning supplier call such as autosmart or autoglym they will have plenty of choice. Autosmart fircexampke just revamped all there range the evo 1 is a dam fine polish
  19. We changed our terms and conditions almost a decade ago and added time collected, the reason ?t we sold a car to a customer who drove off everyone happy until on the way home the plonkers decided to try and run a red light and barrier on a railway crossing (we have lots of the old fashioned ones down our way) almost derailed a train, which had to slam on emergency stop kind few people got minor injuries, however the car was still registered to us this is before the days of electronic registration, next thing we know as we where closing the traffic police and normal police came crashing in demanding to know who was driving the car even read us our rights was a tad uncomfortable. They calmed down when we showed them the paperwork and the cctv recording of the guy driving off into the sunset. Now date and time collected is a must however awkward they are to deal with.
  20. I found very early on once a silly billy has been mishandled by a warranty company they soon become screamer billy. Dealt with right early on the silliness can be dealt with.
  21. They will pick at random a quarter or two and run the figures themselves to see if they add up per your submitted returns, they also look for the "old" tricks in the book such as cash sales was the deposit included in the full invoice price and the other long list of things common to the car industry. Refunds are often picked up as well to ensure the sums add up this was two points we got pulled on as we didnt give the full refund amount they wanted an explanation as to why. Fuel logs might be looked at, we purchased a lot of red diesel which is 5% vat rated and stands out. The most obvious one is they will be looking at is your lifestyle, a friend of mine not in the car game is being ripped apart at the seams as we speak as his drawings are £20k a year, so the revenue asked him how does he afford to live 3 children a huge house three holidays last year food the list went on, the claimed 2k odd a month doesnt cover his mortgage payments and council tax let alone anything else, the outcome hasnt arrived yet but its clear to say he is in a world of pain.
  22. I have been there twice won one lost one, but hmrc where still decent to work with, the second case was handled by another county's office as my good lady was involved in preparing the records so conflict of interest raised its head which is fair enough., we still laugh about it the case i won was the one i done the records for the one we lost was her doing ! hay ho What a lot of people do not see is the mind blowing amount of cases where its clear as polished glass that HMRC has been defrauded.
