  1. I was reading on the IMBD facebook page autotrader now list your car higher on the listings due to recommendations ! is that customer reviews ?
  2. Or the right stock and prepped well when all around you is junk, I often forget that option, when i asked someone yesterday why they chose us they said they seen two before and was blown away by the difference in condition prep.
  3. David is correct that is fraud i would report it to the police to get a crime number if nothing else to add to your claim, maybe drive around to her house in a mates car video the car driving as normal. I would have said i am not entertaining any claims on the car as it is yet to be paid for in full, and all property remains mine until such time it is paid for in full.
  4. I would play hardball with motors as they have only just been bought out by ebay/gumtree my rep thinks it will be a matter of months until there all under one banner, just like ebay and gumtree did last year, so do not sign up for anything lengthy i know they offer month on month rolling contracts offered us one when we cancelled last year. We where with Gumtree then they said for £30 a month more you can have ebay /gumtree package a no brainer signed up for it straight away and we have decent enough leads from both now, so i am waiting for the motors package to come live which it is bound to happen. They seem to be adding value to there brand all the time last add on's where an ebay motors pro shop and 4 featured adds on gumtree for £20 a month the featured adds have been a great add on for us and worth the £20 x 5 times more on its own. PS this isnt a dig at autotrader never used them.
  5. Yikes i spoke to soon about them being ok i havent been able to get a quote this week from them, anyone suggest any other players in the market worth a go.
  6. Well done in having spare time, i cant remember the last time i completed my daily list of things to get through, had 23 items to attend to today so far i am on 6 so not looking good as i have to finish at three for a boring meeting with the solicitors.
  7. Nothing wrong with target markets, i myself love the newbies as everyone else hates them we swallow them up. Offer them a good service when they brake things which is often, and when they have done there first year with the black boxes they come back and upgrade. So bread and butter for me please nothing sporty nothing fancy c1/107/aygo fiesta / clio punto fox, golf, astra You can also fix these with a bread knife and when you sell the same thing day in day out its quite rare to come across a problem you havent seen ten times over, so fixes are cheap and quick. Also allows to slightly over pay in the auctions when you have 20 very similar cars its easy to make a tweak here and there buy the odd £100 which makes all the difference when your buying. Boring ....very but works for us.
  8. Would have thought you will be ok once you provide all the relevant data insurance companies do not need many excuses not to pay out give as many as you can.
  9. You could always fit a facia adapter try connects 2 or armour automotive then you will be able to fit anything you want standard din size. they will also be able to supply you with all the quad lock adapters and fakra aerial options so it will be plug and play.
  10. A/c !! That’s posh I have seen some recently with manual windows
  11. I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this subject and move on life is to short, the letter of the law has been tightened up considerably over the last few years the CRA2015 was everyone’s hope to clarify basic questions being asked of the old consumer rights act from the dark ages. Sadly it didn’t go no where near far enough and still left many grey areas and as many misinterpretations as the old rules it replaced. And I have no need for lawgistics services however good they are, thankfully having a solicitor in the family takes care off all my many needs.
  12. So just to clarify your point can I therefore add to my terms and conditions “should I see fit all the terms and conditions set out above and null and void” and as long as billy has signed printed in agreement it is legally binding. ps i know the answer.
  13. I would suggest that would have been impossible to answer, far to many factors that you can not factor in projections imo are just a stab in the dark and hope. Anything is achievable just the same as a net loss of £100 / £150k is just as easy to achieve.
  14. I am not normally one to follow the grass is always greener thinking as everyone thinks car traders are all loaded, but this did make me stand back and take note, they also had zero building know how which made me do more than ponder could be next years project for me, the council bent over backwards to help them as they want these old closed down pubs re-used to serve the community so the mix of office retail and flat space seen them fly through planning, even got them zero rates whilst the project was under go.
  15. And sometimes an abundance of cash doesnt always mean its in the bag .....Lucas I got two friends doing a KILLING with there Sipp's by buying out old pubs and converting them into flats or office space, they did one last year which was amazing hats off to them, old pub now home to 3 nice size flats two small office spaces and a corner shop all fully let already the roi is crazy numbers.
  16. Don't think your mad, however this is a hard industry that is changing daily if I had my time again the car game is not where I would put my time effort and dollars. I also started off as a car nut now cars have turned me nuts.
  17. Being on vosa's front door so to speak its a nightmare unless its to the letter of the law, plus for me time is money so delivery is our only option.
  18. I might be having a lack of coffee day but dont get why everything sees this as a fire breathing product, i have used it for years and never had any side effects well had some up my nose once which wasnt nice, but there again sniffing petrol would be just as bad. And i was the car to make sure its clean for polish no other toxic reason, now where is my coffee cup.
  19. I would try looking at what there selling for in your area gumtree ebay facebook autotrader ect, you will find the answer a lot easier.
  20. cracking bit of kit, make sure you use a chemical resistant spray head it will destroy a cheap head. A little goes a long way, i find spray it on leave it a few mins then wipe what ever off i find it helps to wash the car once that is done to make sure its all off.
  21. I stopped retailing older fords with low miles we seem to get a lot of them for what ever reason, looking at our comeback stats these always bight us in the backside coil spings snapping for the fun, thrust bearings start to howl electric window regs the list goes on, we now just punt them on to another trader.
  22. Had a phone call yesterday, hi I was going to come and see your 107 but it’s raining, I replied yes madam it is but the car is under cover to which she replied that’s still no good I will get wet at some point. I agreed and advised she stay tucked up until summer and she hung up how rude.
  23. Welcome James, performance sounds interesting any examples of what your aiming at.
