  1. We have had a few visits over the years, all very positive guess it’s down to the inspectors but the two we have are good as gold. normally go through our paperwork first make sure we are not misadvertising our stock, then the stock itself. had a few advisories as long as you do them before they come back all is good.

£250 a day x 5 days £1250 a week x 48 weeks to allow for xmas and holidays £60k a year not a bad wage for waving your hand in the air, and no risks.

in my defense i am snowed under with work so havent been on here for a while, it sucks this work stuff. But yes i would have loved to have a flutter over a flat white over this one,
  5. Whilst there is a great deal of wisdom and experience here, i would be looking for legal advise.
  6. I would be up front and explain providing full details of the engine change. only joking whilst I like to different burn all records and scatter the ashes.
  7. Do your sums , knock £100 off each car = 30k DOWN based on 300 a year 300
  8. I think it’s safe to say we work differently to most folk on here. We often use a bribe to sweeten a deal but you have to be very specific to make it work and not cost you money. For example we sold a polo last week 2008 black three door 1.4 62k £2795 the farther couldn’t fault it but the son was more worried that he couldn’t play his music through the car radio so we offered him a FREE aux in lead kid was chuffed dad assumed that was an expensive option where as it cost us £38 hardly a huge discount but got the deal done. As in everything we all do you have to work out what your selling and who your selling to and see if there is room to bring something in quirky. After many moons even i have now thrown our hat into the finance market only last week signed up with close brothers, times are definitely changing and imo you can’t stsnd still in business what worked for us 5-10 years ago no longer works.
  9. About time they did something with the evo range the polishes are ok the pads are still poor IMO don’t compare to hex or schol concepts but to be fair there not priced the same either.
  10. Glad your getting on with it, it isnt rocket science and saves a small fortune over the years, in the block watching cars go though i often here people pricing up marks and scuffs and i am thinking we will get that out in house for a little effort.
  11. Its a rare thing that search button some relate it to the like button
  12. Over 12 months you should be paying £250+ vat for both, MSP is correct they no longer split the companies its both or neither. And as in all things in the motor trade just because it doesnt work for one doesnt mean it will not work for another, depends on your stock profile your target market competition in the area the list goes on, Gumtree works very well for us so long may the other dealers hate it less people on there the better. Dont know how you managed that i went the other way and cancelled my Gumtree contract as they where pushing ebay onto me it even expired and they wouldnt fold, well done that man,
  13. I only ever buy them in black and they have to be under £3k retail then they fly out like rockets and come back almost as fast
  14. We even dabbled with this in house and it was an epic fail, i think we just didnt do enough of them to learn from your mistakes we sold the kit and now just get smart repair back in for the nicer stock.
  15. I sold a Escort Turbo to a lad from France back in the day but to be fair he was already here in uni but did take it back to France so it still counts in my book.
  16. Well not thick, or you will have to do loads of work, anyone who has tried to touch up a scratch will know it never sits flush with the original paint and therefore stands out like a sore thumb these tools allow you shave of the new paint and level it with the old paint a quick once over with a compound and it SHOULD look as good as new or at least 90% better and the general public passable.
  17. Once you have got to grips with it really is a cracking bit of kit, just remember to put the green rope around your head the end is very easy to blunt if you drop it.
  18. Instead of watching midget porn, i switched to following the guys over on detailing world some of the work they do is just out of this world, we have learnt a massive amount from there and they often have good deals on offer as well so we always check there before ordering any cleaning kit. There right up there for new products and they do good reviews so you dont get sucked into buying the latest fad. I wasnt knocking them they where our go to system for donkies years, FCP is just so bloody dusty and if you want to polish the whole car it takes an age, where as these modern polishes can do it in one or two passes. Yep the paint has to be fully set over night ideally to get the best results.
  19. just thinking thats a very old range of polishes, modern nano technology has flown past them schol s20 should replace all three of them with different heads on the machine.
  20. Festool Spot repair scraper LZK-HM thats the bad boy you need amazing bit of kit
  21. Its well worth playing we have the paint mixed for us from our local paint shop comes in the usual small tube we just use our own smaller brush heads as the one in the pot you can paint a house with there so thick. We recently been playing with carbon tips to shave the excess paint of festool is the favorite so far, like you mixed results darker colors works very well on whites and silvers are a right pain.
  22. A decent enough video but scratch x is quite a harsh compound that will show maring soon after, I would have refined it a lot further than that adding a wax straight on top isnt going to do much once it settles.
  23. ferk the beach to many people there for me and i always seem to end up behind the woman i told to do one for trying to claim for a remote control battery 9 months after she bought the car at the ice cream van, making my 99 experience very awkward.
  24. who doesnt need a few inches here and there.
