  1. TV - terms and conditions are viewable on your your website with finance calculators though. T&C apply better of just run with it until someone says not to IMO.
  2. I always wonder this too David when someone travels a huge distance. I think we just have the first one that catches their eye in the colour they want etc and they just think sod it go for it. TV if I had a pitch selling cars that were run of the mill family stuff ie insignia focus etc I would advertise in the local press as its very low cost and builds local brand. I would advertise with low weekly prices / monthly prices saying no deposit and nothing to pay for 2months or a headline local customer finance rate of 7.9% apr or something like that to draw them in. Probably need to aim for 2-3 months to see results though. After that if no one mentions it I would sack it off completely.
  3. My 86 year old grandad was using his ipad to search for things before he passed away. I remember this because I put his car up for sale when he gave up driving and he rang me every two days saying its still on your website I thought you were meant to be good at selling cars
  4. Mates this will sell fine just wait for some snow and ice its a cheap 4x4 and people that don't do a lot of mile loves a petrol.
  5. Stephen - Was a disaster for me. It won't be for you if you bid them in the nuts on it and price it keenly. Every single person that turned up on site commented on it and how nice it was. Had lots of dreamers and enquiries mainly just wanting to come and test drive the thing with no intention of buying. This was a 1 owner 6000 mile job I didn't pay particularly strong money for with quite good spec. I would not be seeking to buy another. Was sick of the sight and sound of the thing when it eventually drove off with someone who had been looking ages. The only thing I would do differently toretail them would potentially be to order one of the american styling kits and make it look like the one on the grand tour last week or something towards that type of thing anyway. I think they need to stand out. All the parts just stick on and are peanuts and then you could charge more for a unique one off type car. My 2p.
  6. Done about 30 should be closer to 50 overall pretty poor.
  7. Best Auction hands down for helpful and friendly staff is Shotts Manheim. Kinross when it used to be SMA was the best too, free meals ( steak pie up there was something else) get your cars out and pay the next day nothing too much trouble. Went to BCA and turned lost the edge IMO.
  8. Does he mention HMRC a lot? Is his name trade vet?
  9. Get enough of your own evidence together to prove he is lying and then destroy him.
  10. Good on you Nick. I have started to take a couple of holidays and days off whilst still working 7 days when I am here. If you put in the graft to take a business off the ground then you should be able to enjoy time when you need it. I have done far to many 7-8pm viewings with timewasters and trips home from auction getting back at 2 or 3am and being back in work for 8 am the next day not to now have a bit of time for myself.
  11. Every auction in the land has its fair share of day release candidates...
  12. If I could sign a disclaimer to say I wont pay surecheck charges and I won't ever claim for it then I would. Thing that pisses me off on the odd occasion I do claim is how long it takes to actually get paid, how many times I chase up and how many times I have to speak to Daz or Tony ffs.....
  13. Same thing actually I religiously check all platforms daily to ensure stock is listed everywhere. Only takes one error or change that no one tells you about.
  14. Do you use a stock feed ? It blocks it on a DMS stock feed but its ok if you do it in dealer portal as far as I can tell. Had the same issue.
  15. Its highly likely fingers crossed.
  16. Twats that phone up and just mumble down the phone unable to hear a word of what they are saying. Sound like they have just woke up. Always calling from Birmingham or London.
  17. Erratic idle is usually PCV valve on this engine. Very common on the MK5 GTI's we used to sell loads of and fit a lot of these. I used to buy them cheap from Auction with this fault and a £20 PCV valve did the trick. Just google'd it for a memory re fresh and it sounds very similar. I would give it a try as first port of call.
  18. PCV valve I think it’s called.
  19. They are awful should you need to make a claim- Try Jem Emirali at Aston Lark and he should be able to get you a really good quote with a good level of cover.
  20. This. These Insignias are awful when problems occur I remember buying one from Central Car Auctions Glasgow that let go on me about 8 miles down the road. I learned that day why to buy main dealer stock rather than small dealer direct stock. Learned the hard way.
  21. I like a quick turnaround thats the way to do things.
  22. Got it in writing dipstick was fine for 26 checks? Got it in writing a third party garage you have had no dealings with broke it upon the customers choice to carry out work on their car they wish to sell? I would not waste a second more on it.
