We always ask the question where did you see it and allow them to answer. If their call or email came in before hand we have a bit more evidence. We also ask most did they only use that site or did they see us anywhere else? Being totally objective and looking at your own business are your adverts well written, cars priced to market, do you use video, do you have some feedback and reviews, are you playing the autotrader game so to speak. If its £611 per sale. I wouldn't be on here posting about that I would be thinking its not working for me, and handing in notice. Its ridiculous.

Its not that easy in reality. Same as Dave Horgan here.Lets say its Saturday and there are 3 people all ready to buy on site same time. If someone is leaving a deposit they can pay on card and then send a transfer in advance of collection. If someone wants to pay in full and drive away I have not the time to wait around for 2 hours faffing around would sooner just take the card payment and get them gone. Bank transfer is great and its increasingly easy to use for people but its not quite 100% there yet.

If that is the case then it won't be a bad thing and they will be great with the advanced tech that is available. The world changes, embrace it you can't get off.

Never do this. We take a lot of transfer. I have recently noticed when a customer pays with a santander account the money leaves there account. Most transfers are instant and show with us right away. With santander they then text the customer and run through fraud / security with a phone call. They even ask are they happy with car, have you driven car etc. The customer at any point within 30mins to 3/4 hours can still cancel a payment with them as it has not been released from their bank. Card is great for someone that just wants to pay and drive off with no faffing. Its also ideal for deposits and its done before your eyes and they can then pay balance pre collection via transfer.

Just a test I reckon as can't replicate it, can any of you?

FWIW - a few years ago on run of the mill stock I would have said suicidal move. Now I think you will continue much the same as you are and see little change. The other platforms are nowhere near as far behind as they were.

£100/£120 no one likes doing the rear window on coupes etc as bit of a headache to get at with the shelf location. Price isn't that bad as a one off and not having used them before I find these sort of companies always drop it after a few jobs with instant payment when you show them you will use them frequently.

Did you not hear due to the huge success of the platform they ended up giving it away for free? 2 sales from it since its inception. 3 finance declines. Probably responsible for 8 leads to the business at best.

What other than MOT errors flags up NMR enquiry results. Is it assimple as someone calling me for a valuation me HPI checking the car pulling up cap values and putting 59k when its actually 79k or such like or is there more to it? I don't actually know all that much about it.

If you don't know who your rep is make it your mission to get them out. Find a good one. Ours is great and works with us. Even a self nominating know it all like me learns from our conversations and takes something from it. When you pay them all that money get them working for you, use what they tell you combined with your own knowledge and usually a couple of subtle tweaks here and there can achieve good results. Remember they constantly make changes,if you don't know you can't adjust.

Have you heard of fake taxi? Usually something to do even if its the jobs we don't like doing.
