  1. I don’t know many that just chalk things down to age related wear and tear. All of ours are back on the blower as soon as something goes wrong and I think if we aren’t fixing stuff there’s little point in them buying from a dealer.
  2. I mean here on the forum you can be given the recipe but without the right knowledge you just can't come up with the sauce. @umesh might be worth a PM for details of some of the IMDA masterclasses that help with sales and stuff. Theres loads of youtube videos learning how to close a sale, read buyer signals etc etc its all there if you look for it.
  3. Its very rare they make the same amount or more at the next sale.
  4. Exact same thing here hard times. We finished on 39 retail the month had the potential to do more but just quietened off around the mid point. @David Horgan Excellent stuff mate love a big Finance month. 75% finance pen is mint.
  5. We pay double why are you getting such a good deal this isn’t fair
  6. I don't mind what we sell if there's a few quid in it. A PX for £100 and you sell for £500 / £1000 is a great feeling.
  7. Pay in full or nearly in full? I would take the money.
  8. 07983738259 - Nick McDonald - Leeds based A1 are the one to go with.
  9. @tradegirl Mindset and the way you view things. Do you view things as a problem or a challenge. I personally reckon I could set up anywhere reasonably populated and be absolutely fine.
  10. 2 cars over the weekend here. Very quiet, awful weather and summer holidays probably not helping. Fortunately both cars had a nice lump in them.
  11. Why view this as a negative. Walsalls minutes from the M6 the UKs busiest motorway potentially putting you within reach of so many more customers.
  12. If you look at the places doing well are you doing 50% 20% or 100% of what they are doing and matching them across stock selection, work ethic, set up in terms of contacts to allow efficiency of work ie repairs, paint, online footprint reviews etc social media content, and just buying in at right price and selling at the right price, again the stock selection. If I had double the cars in stock as I have now I would sell twice as many in the month. I believe that but I am also quick to adapt and change when certain models slow down and try to stay ahead of the curve. Harsh as it sounds, be really critical of yourself, be honest withyourself and ask yourself are you doing enough.
  13. You can offer your usual warranty but its not applicable or useable outside the UK so if he has European breakdown cover, is within his mileage and time constraint you would cover it as per any normal agreement. You certainly won't be picking the car up just outside Istanbul to regas his AC.
  14. Ill buy it off you if you take it in part ex.
  15. Something to do with cost of keywords and they must have same budget but when others don't compete in that area they are more prominent. Witchcraft and voodoo
  16. Can't get anything booked in at main dealers round here without being quoted about 2 week wait. Off topic but does it not drive you mad when you try and book something in at a main dealer and can't speak to someone in the actual dealership and just get put through to a call centre remotely
  17. I used to, thing is the customers always see YOUR CAR somewhere which leads them to make contact with these parasites and without your car they aint buying anything. Quote them 0.5% APR better than the online broker with no physical stock to sell and you win more than you lose.
  18. David isn't daft. We don't deal with any external brokers, if you want one of our cars you can buy it from me, through my finance companies and let me earn the commission. We charge fair rates usually saving the customer money on their quote. We get paid more, the customer gets a better deal. Plusand the big plus its time saved, zuto / cf247 etc etc all take time to do the deals with. Its never quicker than just dealing with your own lenders and broker. You pay them £90 / £180 a deal but once you start seeing a bit of finance commission and make the amount we make per month on it its worth a hell of a lot of money to us as a business and worth protecting.
  19. Every now and again in this job this sort of thing can happen. You either kick up a fuss at the time of collection delivery and kick the car back and get out of it, or alternatively you have a go at fixing it and it ends up being more but then you have no recourse. On this one you made your choice, with hindsight perhaps you would have done differently but other than venting not really anything you can do now.
  20. Exactly course he doesn't its 4.5k or we are all staying home right?
  21. Just try and respond to them and get the ball rolling that way. Aim to convert the email leads into sales as best as you can and give it your best go. You won't win them all but the more you can get to turn up on the pitch the more will buy. Its just getting them through the door thats the key.
  22. Anywhere do a hard top for boxsters?
  23. As much as you can get. Its whatever you are happy with and whatever works for you. I doubt anyone is going to post the answer in the public forum anyway. Some sell 8 cars don't work for less than £2k etc, they are happy. Others sell 60/70 cars+ for £500 a car and are happy.
