  1. Interestingly enough I sold a Ford ranger through marketplace. I had put the price up £1k last week. That was my business sale. I also sold a Fridge and have a washing machine and oven / hob on marketplace. I thought selling cars was hard work ffs. Can you drop it off, Can i come for a look ( its a fridge do you want it or not?) Can I see it at 10pm. Any more pictures?
  2. Perfect timing and glad to see this post. It’s going to be chaos in the new year and you need to know what your doing. I have one space for just £500 per month with direct access to me and I can show you just how to be a successful trader. Dm for bank details lesson one is Coming soon.
  3. They do as they do it for us mate. Should have it if they already do the social stuff for you. Chase up and get them to sort it for you. sold something off it this weekend.
  4. Try different styles of advert / dont boost all at once / google a/b testing when one gains traction chuck money at that kill the other one send me a xmas present if you sell one before xmas
  5. Spent a lot of time and money. I share a lot of insight here but some stuff will cost you
  6. Its to do with your content. Good content, a little organic reach and then a boost finishes it gets it over the line. No point boosting a piece of shit advert. Its just putting a piece of shit in front of people who aren't going to click it.
  7. Yes. Trial and error, when you crack it its a good feeling.
  8. You do save a lot of money when prepping in house. I don't know about 78%. Our own workshop was the best thing we did instead of having to pay any external labour costs. You are right though the efficiency it leads to is where you really make the money. Cars back and out the door quicker.
  9. Its my best return on add spend. I constantly try and drive the cost per sale down.
  10. If 90% of garages have their cars MOT tested in advance ready to pay and drive away but you don't and you were in the market for a car and needed one would you buy from the place that would let you drive off or would you buy from the place that made you come back ?

You know those ones where a 3 series has M5 wheels that would be about a grand a corner and then wonders why they aren't genuine....
  12. The ones who want to buy don’t mind taking an hour or 2 off. The ones who want to browse and just look wont.
  13. Aren't sky adverts targeted at what you search when the box is connected to wifi these days so you are probably more likely to see that sort of thing.
  14. In answer to original question - Do you like making more money per sale? Do you like putting fewer obstacles in front of customers? Do you like making it easier for people to buy when they want to buy from you?
  15. Your finance rep must love you. Whats your finance pen at 80+%
  16. Its not 1981 pal. In terms of thinking Cat D's are the way forward then maybe for short term gain. Long term wise how do you scale that up? do you want to be associated with that stuff when trying to build a long term business? do you want a pitch full of cat damage stuff 5 years down the line.
  17. I started for the same reason and running the same business. Worked out alright for me so far.
  18. Hi MCC - What do you think makes a good and successful car dealer? What do you think would make you good and successful ? Fresh eyes and lack of industry know how can actually be quite a good thing, it did me no harm and I still like cars to this day. Not as keen on people as I once was though. Do you have any sales background. I personally can't think of any car sales business that has done well without the owner being extremely good at selling. Anyone can start up, buy a few cars they like and think its easy. The reality is to actually turn it into a business that can pay the rent / bills / mortgage is difficult. You are fortunate you do 4 on 4 off so have time to attend auctions, buy private and advertise cars. Plus you can arrange viewings to suit you around those times. The one thing I see that all the successful dealers have in common is that they all work incredibly hard 6/7 days with long hours. All have a very positive mindset and an adaptability to changes. I think many of the successful dealers I recognise would be successful in any field they turned to, its a characteristic.
  19. Huge drops, Range Rover Sports 14-16 average miles models have probably dropped 12/15k in that time. I know how does cap collating actual hammer prices people pay for actual cars work this out?
  20. Autotrader, football and brexit are 3 topics I would quite gladly see never discussed on here
  21. Can you give your salesman the facebook messenger lead management/ whatsapp out of hours responsibility and let them earn a bit more if they convert from it save you dealing with it?
