  1. What did you do to them? Enjoying these, I like Mike Brewer never understood why he gets a lot of hate. +1 for How clean James keeps that flat, you have kids don't you how on earth you manage that is a mystery
  2. Well worth the £50 its a good publication whether online or the older physical. Same as Mark I thought it was worth paying for it just for the forum. The awards is a great night aswell and fingers crossed it goes ahead, after all this shit will be very much welcome. Cheers James for the regular updates and news throughout. I thought you were a decent bloke before but feel you have really assisted and gone above and beyond or the motor trade as a whole throughout this and its been fantastic to see.
  3. Car a day for the last week demands returning for definite
  4. McLarens have just never enjoyed the strong residual of Ferrari or Porsche Models. Lamborghini hold fairly strong but a little behind the other 2. McLaren are a long way behind. Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini will always buy a car back off you. You will take a hit but they will buy it to keep the market high. Having that amount in a car I’d be looking for that get out and liquidity and reassurance. McLaren don’t even want their own cars back.
  5. A lot of stock shows as low price on Autotrader as averages appear to have gone up maybe due to reduced numbers. we even increased a few prices and will be doing so again over the next day or 2 in line with market.
  6. It’s being quick to adapt to whatever’s right for you but at this time there really is a limited supply of used, our supply chains all but dried up.
  7. 100% hold tight as once they sell its going to be a really tough job replacing. Bounce back loans could see dealers using that to stock up which could push prices up and there will be a real fight for stock. Those of us who have been selling and delivering have certainly not been able to replace at the same level.
  8. Ok McLaren I would only buy from a dealer for the warranty aswell. i would also be well prepared to lose a few quid on one but still wouldn’t say no.
  9. Why not just buy a lumpy car trade without retail mark up and drip it up yourself? works out much cheaper mate. Got a good broker for stuff like that if you want to PM me. Aldermore / Alphera still have very high residuals.
  10. The motor trade is behind the digital curve and doesn’t want it. It makes everything they have worked for redundant. That’s why cazoo will work. Before cazoo was even announced and the idea was thought up I was offering next day delivery and pushing towards enhancing our online business via click engage, remote sales etc. It is the future of every business and every industry. those of us set up to offer easy online buying will do very well out of this situation.
  11. Cant invest all that money into huge Gin palaces and then just start delivering cars demonstrating no need for gin palace and a big storage yard would do can you
  12. Agree as much as they can do really.
  13. Yet cars are emotional and a style purchase for many and that goes out the window. TV is right the savvy traders who adapt will be fine despite any challenges.
  14. Got to try haven’t we mate, finding ways to do things rather than ways not to as much as we can.
  15. £30k Q7 £20k glc £17k Focus ST £7k fiesta ST since thursday here - mixed bag of stock. Mixed bag of customers. q7 - lease is ending, logistics company are still collecting he needs a new car ST3 focus just wanted a new car fiesta wants new car glc been working hard in a supermarket management and fancied treating herself as current car was past its best. having to be really selective with deals, and quite picky around pxs. need another recovery truck if anyone has one they want rid of aswell.
  16. Good to see you back mate hope you are well and that Hot tubs had a clean if you had some free time I was meant to do a Cuillin traverse up your way it had been booked for last week. The one time there is good weather and not a cloud in the sky and its cancelled.
  17. @James Baggott for delivery if you have 2 staff members who live together ie brothers etc this is the perfect opportunity for delivery or get your partner / wife to come with you to collect you aswell. A few solutions.
  18. Ill be operating where its safe to do so. I'm of sound fitness and health but have got a newborn baby at home. Very cautious. Delivery is contactless so not getting near anyone. Its lower risk than a trip to the shops, the highest risk aspect of it is the trip to put fuel in and i've only been to pay at pump with gloves on since this so I feel if we are sensible, logical even someone with terrible asthma could theoretically go to their own unit, get the car on their truck and drive to a fuel station to fuel truck and then drop car to customers house and post the key. You are having no contact with anyone.
  19. I actually bought a bike off Facebook marketplace today. Hounded the guy like a Bradford punter on an RS3 for a week for best price kesh and got a steal something that would have been 1200+ 3yrs age and used maybe 3/4 times for £250. Think we are a good few weeks before back May aswell make the most of the downtime.
  20. Good news. If I sold T shirts online I could get DPD to pick up at my office / unit / warehouse. They could deliver to customers. Car is just a bigger purchase and as long as delivered contact free I will maintain we are doing no wrong or no harm.
