They are everywhere at every garage and Barely make any money off them. Only worth bothering if you can buy in good spec at bottom prices which is the hard bit
-
I get more wankers on GTDs than any of the Golf R or S3s we always have in stock
-
Any car can be taxed nothing to do with a V5 or not and works even if not in trade etc. so you can buy stuff with no V5 no problem.
-
I have a contact and can get any car taxed for you without a V5 pm me. Small fee charged. Apply for v5 but if you don’t have it no problem.
-
The cars fine, no issue and nothing to sort. in this instance you should have taken control of the customer and explained this in a way they understood and shown confidence in your product and service. you do this everyday, you sell loads of these, it’s a characteristic of this model etc and then you wouldn’t be in this situation. learn from it

As a dealer its up to you to get things done. Good advice. Don't allow them to fob you off.

Just buy as many cars as you can. Can't sell a warranty pot can sell cars. Keep an emergency credit card for if shit hits the fan

Delivery from BCA by transporter when only buying 1 car
Rory RSC replied to MJG50's topic in General Dealer Chat
Are you on facebook mate? Trade 2 trade transport group has loads of good verified drivers and transport companies out there who can do single cars at good prices. Find a local one to you / to the auction and get a good few done. -
Pay a pro to do it or else its going to look utterly shite. In my opinion its cheaper to respray chips than it is to PPF though. My personal car has a full covering of PPF and cost was in excess of £2k
-
Every time i've refunded a customer and re sold the car I have never had the car come back again. Every now and again we get unreasonable customers. Try my best to filter it out before it gets to that stage but on occasion we make a mistake and one slips the net.

BCA - UNDECLARED FAULTS IN CURRENT AUCTION SYSTEM
Rory RSC replied to Handjamjack's topic in General Dealer Chat
You can prove the vendor knew. You can prove it was a wrong un. You can win this and kick it back if you go the right way. I would but I wouldn't be on here posting it I would just be getting my money back. -
Just buy one, then sell it. Stop thinking start doing. You will probably make money, you might lose a little but you learn with each one. A few years later you will be taking £2k/£3k out of cars, Grands on finance comission and making a living.

CDP: How to get set up selling Finance and Stocking Facilities
Rory RSC replied to david gott's topic in General Dealer Chat
I love buying cars. Thats one of the bits of the job I enjoy. Selling cars and having a good day, month or huge margin makes me happy. But I tell you what the best part of car sales is when you give someone the opportunity to buy a really nice car from you and they say no to then sell to someone else and then they call back and get angry at you for selling it. -
Lots of cars sell through our facebook page and marketplace. Its taken years to get it to that point. Right now I would have a page but not expect to be selling from it.
-
Its easy to say that but is that the case given the longevity of the business in its various guises?

BCA - UNDECLARED FAULTS IN CURRENT AUCTION SYSTEM

Got to learn to take a loss and bounce back in this business. Can't over celebrate the wins or dwell on the losses for too long. -
BCA - UNDECLARED FAULTS IN CURRENT AUCTION SYSTEM

The car has to be as described. Any known faults must be declared. It was a known fault. You have proved its a known fault. Escalate to a branch manager. Unfortunately with these things being nice, respectful and pleasant gets you know where you have to be a bit of a dick to get resolution. -
Whats the story with that place? Did they make big money doing a tax scam back in the day ? @trade vet is that what a lot of these import places were doing? Was there a lot of them making a lot of money out of it in years gone by?
-
Is it the same as the Mini engine? What year is it? @Mat C might be a knowledgeable with this.

Could do with one for some of the smelly ones, dirty bastards when its a warm day. Turning up to view £10k/£20k cars but can't afford a can of deodarent for a £1.00

Grafters will prosper in anything. The ones with a bit of common sense who just get on and get shit done always do.
-
Lovely website but the bit on it that should have cars listed was a bit lacking

Its true. Wasn't sarcastic but a well known character on here spent way to long thinking, getting his hand held and couldn'tactually do the basics. This is a great place for advice but a lot of voices can sometimes make it hard to know what to do. You buy cheap, sell with profit and polish profit into cars, etc find a niche make a run of it etc and get a good bit going. This forum is then good when looking for advice on which warranty company to get, how to deal with your first complaint ( daunting I remember mine and shit it at the threat of them taking me to court ) and loads of good advice. Just got to get going. I wouldn't bother with Copart shit either just buy straight motors. TBH if I lost my lot and started again I would buy off gumtree and marketplace from idiots who can't take pics or read and write, clean them ensure basically safe and then just sell with limited comebacks and build up again as quick as I could living off bare minimum. Sacrifice, graft and an eye on where you want to be in a few years works. Good luck. Get going.
