It’s not the fact he’s a Saab man, it’s the fact he’s a Jock so he’ll have an axe to grind with anyone south of the border. From what I can gather all you Jocks now hate us English thanks to the delightful Nicola Sturgeon’s efforts.

Slow!?!!! I’ve had one phone call all week and that was from a cheeky c*** more interested in a £500 discount that the actual car. Apparently I was welcome to phone him the next day if I changed my mind “cos I know it’s quiet for you lads”!! Cheeky twat, I hope he’s holding his breath.

Commission selling for other dealers - % to ask from sale?
BHM replied to Linctrader's topic in General Dealer Chat
Hahaha, so they ARE the sweepings left over. AND they expect their money back despite the passage of time. AND they want a profit as well! F*** me, God loves a tryer, and those boys are certainly tryers. I assume you’ve laughed in their faces & told them to keep them. -
How the hell can they come to that conclusion? I think I’d of requested a retrial and cited the court’s serious misunderstanding of automotive electro-mechanical systems, or some such shit.
-
You probably want something a little more constructive but if it’s got a few miles on it offload it at your local auction house. I’m sure when they’re new they’re fine but any older Volvo diesel with either the shit 1.6 or the shit 2.0 are to be avoided. Strictly D5 2.4 only if you want a good night’s sleep.

Commission selling for other dealers - % to ask from sale?

It sounds like you’re getting the sweepings left on the floor Mind you if they’re sale or return, are prepped & ready to go then there can’t be much harm in it as long as you’re getting your slice out of it. I’d make sure they come juiced-up, do 20-30 miles in each one & those that are ok I’d advertise, those that show issues back heal. -
If it’s going abroad I wouldn’t give a f***.

You can spend all of your ‘spare’ time PDIing, filling out forms, etc. but if you’ve sold to a twisty twat wanting a few shillings then you’ll have to deal with him no matter what. In the highly unlikely event someone actually takes you to court PDI forms may help, although I suspect they’d cut little ice with a judge, but in all other scenarios it boils down to whether or not YOU intent helping the customer. Personally I believe the costs of paying for independent PDIs etc. is easily outweighed by the financial savings for a couple of comebacks a year. I get most stock MOT’d so it’s to a safe roadworthy standard. Those of you who are constantly firefighting one complaint after another perhaps need to look at your prep standards or the promises you are making to customers in order to get the deal.

Christ! They’ve got a Chrysler Neon for sale! I can’t remember the last time I saw one of those.

Answers I have none but welcome to trading in a depressed economy. Expect it to get harder over the next couple of years.

It surprises me - unlimited warranty claims for all!

A pure chancer. Tell him to sling his hook & when he starts whinging tell him to take legal advice. That usually ends the matter as they assume you’re on solid ground if you’ve told them to take advice.
-
If they’re anything like me they; 1) won’t look at Twitter. 2) even if they did they won’t give a toss. Are we seriously suggesting a whinge on the internet will get the manufacturer to stump up? If that were the case the manufacturers would end up bankrupt.
-
And I thought it was the internet’s fault that brings us all of the ridiculous offers
-
The only Volvo diesel you want to touch is the D5. For some strange reason the French crap they shovel under the bonnets seem a lot more fault prone than when they’re bolted into a Citroen/Peugeot.
-
Sorry but I’d of thought the non-dealer stamp would render the manufacturer warranty invalid (even though the service had nowt to do with problem components). If it had been my vehicle that’d of been the first item I’d try to confirm. As for trading standards commenting about expecting Isuzu to be more helpful I’m afraid that just shows the ignorance of local government employees with regards to the realities of running a commercial business (and having to EARN money). My guess is you’ll have to suck this one up, sorry.

If we go electric at least we won’t have any diesel injectors gumming up, sticky turbos, blocked EGRs and full DPFs to deal with. Mind you, God help us if the equivalent of the EML illuminates!
-
Yes, different wording. Mind you, I quickly read his couple of tweets and if that’s the sort of ‘special’ York Police employ then good luck to them - the way he writes he’s obviously getting off bigging himself up. As it’s a Sunday he’ll be the sort of nutter playing the big man via ebay emailing about cars tonight.

Do sweet f.a., these cretins would wank themselves silly if they saw the slightest response to their actions.

Imagine going from Scotland to London in an EV at the moment - it’d take all bloody week! As for EVs being the saviour of our cities, anyone who visits central London will realise that 99% of homes don’t have off road parking (what the hell do you guys expect for a £1M flat in Kensington? ).
