  1. I do have to agree Jack with your comment Every time you go to an auction some part time starter is bidding the job up to work on £500 or less . They could earn more stacking money shelves at a super mkt .
  2. Time to move on to something else I reckon after two years of losing money . OR Put your heart and sole into it and get on with doing the job properly . Harsh but true words you will learn as you go on . If the going gets tough , the tough get going and work harder , or change course to something you understand more of maybe . As said above its not for every one is the car trade ,
  3. Same here my friend . Got three cars at home including the dog car, the car park shopping car ,and the going out for dinner car . Drive a different stock car home every night to keep things moving , Battery , brake discs etc
  4. Me mmmmmmm I'm old school No way I'd knock £500 off a car in the first place BUT ,an 8k car should not require corner scuffs painting as they would be done before she saw it , . Deals a deal in my world , You don't get your deposit back , but I wouldn't Welch out on a deal either the other way .
  5. Its all The guy at Wellspek does , have NO fear its done very well and is safe , this guy actually shows you how he does it and its very impressive stuff .
  6. The AT portal is driving me nuts , Useless That's change for you I suppose . I've found the perfect solution though . **Don't Log on **
  7. Wellspek in Bilsthorpe Notts , Fixes anything , the mans a genius 01623 870800 Tradex its totally safe , no worries , this guy has done it since the invention of Alloy wheels and hes nearly 99 yrs old " joke " not quite , proper old school genius .
  8. My Brother in law went into E Halshaw to look at a Tiguan £16,601 Came out with over £1,600 in bolt on's that he never knew were added on . PX was stated at £4,900 but reduced to £4,000 on paper , He asked me to go in with him to check out the car , it was still full of rubbish So I took the sales girl to pieces over the deal , never mentioned the state of the car as I like them filthy so they come to us independents . Result was I took £2,500 out of her deal after a heated discussion and she finally said yes To better PX and NO Bolt on's , THEN WE WALKED AWAY and I got him a Tiguan for £16,295 , we took his car to WBAC and then E Halshaw and got more money than they offered us after the argument at £4,900 He got 5k Result is I had a profit on the Tiguan , got rid of his high miler , took a finance commission too . Brother in law saved around 3k on his spend . How people fall for dealing with these crooks is astonishing .
  9. To large and bulbous on the rear for my liking . The Porker that is .
  10. Its only taxed cars on MID according to our Insurer and broker . Looks like you had a stupid copper who didn't know left from right , The plonker
  11. I did take to card details and didn't put it in the terminal as I smelled a trap from a sweet old couple trying that scam on a couple of years ago They sent his brother "so called " with a lorry and I told him it had already been collected two hours ago mate , hope he paid you . He wasn't happy The old couple were trying to buy the mother of all Renault Megane CUP 275 £16,000 off us and had been to see it , but their cards had all been declined , all 4 of them they said oh don't worry we have more cards at home we will fetch one , but phoned me instead and that's where the scam lay Charge back as it was a stolen card when I reported it , The scamming bastards . Just thought i was thick , WRONG

  16. Bet it was a high miler Mark ?, Ebay sells high milers better than AT i think . Must be snob factor
  17. use doc ref onfront of V5 but guess a number 1/9 and put infront of the ref number , works every time
  18. Probably the real owners just before it disappeared
  19. What model Skoda is it , year/ miles/petrol /diesel / model .
  20. Self warrant if you have your own Techs , cheaper by far , save you thousands a year . We save 60 k a year at the side of buying warranties for £195 that are shite anyway . Look up A1 approved warranties in Leeds 01132 709488 and talk to Stuart as they do both self warranty or their own warranty packages . All the best in the new sales venture too .
  21. Starter Motor Ha Ha drag race at dawn coming soon Its the noise that gets me going then the power . Just love big lumps
  22. Only one thing sells a diesel and that's price round here .4x4 are ok but smaller than 3litre and its ghost country round here . Only diesels we see now are the queue to sell me the bloody smelly things, but I'm a true unadulterated petrol head and always will be I even run a 5litre V8 that makes me smile every time it starts up
  23. If you know how she driven it with no oil pressure then thats the what to say . Dear mediator I know she was driving the car with the oil light because !!!!!!!!! this then caused further destruction of the engine by being no oil pressure the tensioner would go loose and cause the chain to jump , she should have stopped driving as soon as it illuminated on the dash , that's part of her driving test show me tell questions as well , so at 17 would have been fresh in her mind .
  24. You must have fixed back in 2016 / early 17 surely . So wheres her issues now after 12 month . They are shite engines but its fixable She has had it 3 years for gods sake , cant possibly win a case for collecting £10,000 from you for a £5,200 car 3 years ago . Sounds like a gravy train at full bore .
  25. I always ask how are you funding this purchase ? No credit cards , no actual cash , both to expensive to bank . If they mention bank I have been known to say this is on finance only and it works too , "this Sunday proved it twice with "I can get cheap money from the bank " my answer was but the bank isn't selling the car ." Both went out with finance . Third party finance like 24/7 & Zuto I wont entertain at all at any cost . I am not paying them to sell my stock . Zuto are gearing up to charge soon too £180 + VAT If they say debit then its all over and I sell and move on . Love the theory though Nick , Thought about it many times .
