Guy in the gym opposite us had an A5 coupe that had everything wrong with it , Headlight problems , Emissions problems , Turbo screaming its nuts off , EGR Blocked , Brakes shuddering ,EML Light on , Hand Brake working when it thought about it , Heated seats not working , Air con pump expired , and the list went on and on . I sent him to WBAC and they offered £6,200 which was CAP Clean Then I told him to go to Evans Halshaw after , They gave him £7,100 and never even sat in it ,All Dash lights taped over from the outside of the speedo glass Saw it listed in Notts BCA UK Car group sale and watched it Sell at £7,400 on the hammer online Hall bid at £7,300 . The whole process doesn't make sense except the total numbers involved . The public using this sell my car approach are just inflating the retail pricing in the end aren't they Needed 1k repairs in our thinking . I don't know what they do with them when they've bought scrap like that at CAP + £1,200 + Fees with faults . Still Andy was happy and he bought our car off us and gave me £200 in my hand for sorting him extra cash for his car

Used to send cars to Cyprus , Toyota Avensis was the best one , cheap as chips here , loads of em available and fetched huge money over there , but dried up now though , the guy who organised it for me was a chef over there . All goods things end at some point don't they

Make invoice and address with his name on it , Proof of sale and the address he gave you was wrong wasn't it If it comes back you can prove you were somewhere else cant you . -
Oh yes , we go green laning loads of times , goes places it really shouldn't be possible , very competent little tool as well . Loads of fun off road , but on tarmac omg its painful Got a discofender as well , early disco with a defender pick up tub welded on the back , very highly modified and that goes literally anywhere a person dare drive it .

I bought a Y reg jimmy one owner car at 19,000 miles 3 yrs ago in a local night auction near us when i was trotting px car prices when this little thing came in , £950 on the hammer . Its got bigger wheels , different suspension, different diff now . Stripped it clean underneath and repainted it like new . Family pet for winter use now , they will go anywhere . Fun little things off road , DRY Tarmac and its bloody dreadful Good buy for the snow though

Your dad was right too , Just they taint the whole trade don't they . The buying public treat all the same when they have been burned . Even seen this guy on dodgy traders TV coming out of court with a £20k fine and still trades . No VAT , NO tax either I bet , Shouldn't be allowed in the Auction Grounds in my opinion .

Pub Car Park and a New SIM card " its cheaper " Someone we know of does this and he actually gets people to buy too " unbelievable " actually throws the sim card away every week and the warranty is by his own words "3secs down the road " See him at BCA where hes on a black card " free food , low fee's , and 500 cars a year " even sells them in BCA car park and they still buy em .

Wow that's scary stuff indeed. Credit to those guys who do that . More nerve than me . Actually made me feel dizzy watching him go from one ladder to another , but the end when they stand on the top is proper scary stuff at any height but 1,700 ft WOW .

Sold anything for a profit yet Lucas ?

That's very wise advice from AD above Kelly . Pay them back exactly as they paid you , and get it all signed for as you may need it when matey boy has finished his porridge and comes looking for the car cos his wife / partner has legged it to Spain

Its the way of the world of online selling now though isn't it , We've had a cheap PX Focus at £1,895 and the customer turned up from over 100 miles away for it, 94k on the clock too , must have been one of those near him somewhere surely , Wasn't special 1.6 Zetec in blue , Nothing as queer as the customers choices sometimes .

Got a guy who sells our px rubbish on face book and that is working for him , nothing to do with me though , the stuff they buy on there is AMAZING , Filthy , not working rubbish sells on facebook and the dopes think they have a bargain . Heard him on the phone and he's just point blank rude to the buyer , get down ere now an u can ave it mate , but dunt mess mi abowt or u cn piss off , they actually go to see him after that torade of abuse as well and buy the scrapper Spock is useless zero sales Very amateur approach they have , Playing at trying to hopeless and achieving it . AA useless , zero sales , just hopeless Gumtree useless , zero sales , needs to be CHEAP on there Car gurus had me upgrade free over Dec /Jan " useless " zero sales but I HATE their approach to telling all to everyone . Dec /Jan Autotrader sold 48 cars + 3 today . Cant see any point in paying to advertise TWICE on different sites . So Now its Web site sales via Google search and AT only + any local lookers who walk in and previous buyers . AT is expensive , you have to know your mkt to use them effectively I think , But it works for us . If it didn't I would look at something else .

Proxy bids are unknown by the auctioneer , They don't know till their system shows proxy out bid , If there is a catalogue change the proxy bid is out altogether and they wont take it .

We had chap who bought a SLK off us two years ago , super thing and we had driven it 70+ miles too so knew it very well , he took it home to Kent 250 miles away and rang us to say the rear diff had gone on way home , Luckily my son was down Kent on Hols so was knocking on his door 15 mins later asking to drive it , The chap was devastated as clearly it was a scam , The surprise he got was worth the call the scamming old git , Nothing wrong with his car at all just after some money

We have two Bulgarians Nick separate people who have become life long friends , Come for servicing from 100 miles away , want everything doing to the cars too . Great people , great customers . Stunning wife I must say

Seen someone make a good car out of two cars then dump the waster down the block , that little oil in gearbox to stop it leaking it was transported via a lorry to local night auction . I actually saw two privates bidding its socks off for this car so i joined and trotted it up another £400 then stood back and watched him buy it at CAP clean + £250 . Paid the fees that did . Was on side of road 4 miles out of auction with a busted gearbox & Over heating with a leaking rad Bargain cars , never know when do you , Auctions not for the faint hearted are they Sold as seen it was too

Customer drives 100 miles after putting a deposit on a 9k car THEN announce after being asked during deposit call that they have bought their PX 170,000 miler semi auto Civic showing me his phone saying its worth £890 Finished up taking £50 for it because i returned the same attitude . If he'd been right with me and told me the truth he would have got £200 for it . -
Door handles fall off , front suspension is weak and requires sub frame off to fix , misfires , coil packs , gear linkages . Seats are usually badly marked , Cack is a description I'd use for the little bleeders , They dont sell "period " unless you can nick it . Used to sell loads and pay over book for em then people learned just how bad they are , NOW we pay bottom book minus £600 plus reduction for condition unless the owner is insulted you've paid to much . Still don't earn much by the time you have fixed its problems . It has to be a Lounge and white to even get interest , if its blue, red , green or god help pink , it will make a better garden ornament

No Point em being there in my mind , useless leads never get back to you anyway . Wouldn't pay car guru in bent washers .

Was doing the same thing Dave , Plugging em in for £40 when customer was there , or park it round back and hand certificate out when they got back , Thank you that's £40 and your cars fine . Remember one was a Mk1 escort ,trouble plugging that one in , she wanted it checking as her insurance company wanted £90 to cover it so £40 was good for her and me . Had loads of money while it lasted -
Would be a NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO from me on that deal my friend , low oil get rid , px it to a dealer , tell him to sell it private and come back for the Mini . Or tell him grow a pair and have it fixed like he should do
-
Whoever broke the dip stick caused the non running fault surely as its snapped and fell in the sump , some dork head must have started the engine at a garage , Third party interference in my thinking , sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one at your expense

I think people know S Line more than they do Black edition Nick although it gets less looks it get more serious looks because its an S Line and so you get the searches who are targeting S Line , Black edition lookers are car advert wanderers . Maybe , who knows , I've played at this game and still astonishes me when one search gets results and one doesn't Hope it sells Pal .
