More BMW woes, anyone come across this? 2007 325i error code
It's me replied to andymc1973's topic in General Dealer Chat
clear the codes start again look at live data with regards the misfire swap over parts if you can to identify which component faulty remember a code is a guide not the law -

i see trade plates abuse every day there will be some of us who will moan if we lose this privilege because a minority wont abide by the rules of use

its really hard to walk round a car and talk so having passed that test im very pleased i love the clear internal camera that works properly and i like your clear spec at the bottom of the page now lets see how your customers see it because we are on the wrong side of the fence most times when our ideas fail to churn and we dont know why

if its in trade by confirming with dvla on the telyblower then i usually send a cheque off and loggy book comes back before car is ready to retail or if you prefer spend the 25 notes with customer at your local post office (its painted red so you cant miss it) and it goes straight in his/her name confirm above on tellyblower though or PO say NO remember the v5c details are not proof of ownership it just shows who is responsible for insuring and taxing it next

YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FREE CAR HIRE FOR A WEEK AND NO CHARGE what cars do you have in stock and where are you dont do it,you will be abused
-
keep a record of your checks even if you dont want to give the customer a copy try and make sure cars have no faults before retailed as something stupid like a non working ciggie lighter for the snowflakes daughters smilipod could cause other issues on return when customer brings a sheet of silly faults also needing attention if not sure give the car a full global scan too to pick up any previous issues never let customers find the fault, find it yourself, even if it means stocking lower numbers of cars, your reputation stands on the last washing machine with wheels on you sold
-
to be fair it cant happen can it so many people see selling cars as selling beans as said in other threads its not cars are unique in that theres a million things to look at once its not brand new and kevin and his clipboard hasnt got the experiance or training to fully appraise all cars i got a car back from the mot today and found the heater motors not working so ive taken the dash out as you do,how would you find that by buying from your office laptop
-
youve just done a jimmy saville say everything twice but yes let those that chase bottom price go forth because ive always said this too "we don't just buy cars and chuck a bucket of water over them" proper customers do understand this and do their homework even if they try and tell you differently

well you learn something new every day thanks for that oh and good luck

my broker got me onto lv 2 years ago,my insurance went up £40 this year,im real happy with them as we made a claim last year on the wifes policy (private) and it was dealt with promptly and efficiently thing is a few years back i tried going the cheaper route but it was a highway to hell and a nightmare to get cars on the mid also a lot of quotes i was getting did not cover sdp and also didnt cover me going to a trade business and putting articles like wheel trims in my car and going to work with them as this was classed as business not motor trade, barmy i know but these things need checking before you move because when the reams of small print come its usually too late

im still covering my plates dvla are clueless ive had 2 run ins so far this year with them and had to tell them how it it is plod are too busy up here to worry about these issues,im more concerned where a new trader on here the other day boasted how he just threw one plate in the dash,i dont like this attitude so stayed away for a few days,i want to see this trade as professional at all times

ive scrapped a mint looking focus and a double mint late plate mk2 clio this week, both had slight issues but who wants the aggro of the great unwashed in undercrackers messing you on the internet turning up on the day and leaving spittle on your floor i dont
