  1. Unplugging stuff until it communicates?
  2. To add to this, Learning the hard way is probably the best way. Investing in wiring diagrams and learning how to read them and understand them. We have just been schooled this week in CAN BUS. MK4 Mondeo with no comms to any module on the High speed, however would communicate fine on the Medium Speed. It turned out the Power steering control module had a sort circuit internally that was disturbing the High Speed CAN BUS.
  3. What about when production of diesel cars stops altogether, and the price of used ones go up in value.... can we claim from the customers?
  4. Nowadays its best to get the customer part exchanging the car to put it on retention and send you the v5 once they get it back before the yellow slip gets sent away. You now have to register it in order to remove said plates. So if it were me, id be using the original reg number to advertise it. Then put it on retention straight away once sold to new customer?
  5. In any case the gearbox will have to come back out. The release bearing comes with all clutch kits on these, however it doesnt always come with a new clutch arm/fork. Is the fork ok? Faulty flywheels so soon after replacement can be attributed to another fault elsewhere.
  6. #METOO Im sick of making money form reliable Korean Cars. On a sensible note.... Dont think for one minute that replacing your car with a German one will make your problems disappear.
  7. You work for someone else i take it? What does your line manager have to say about it?
  8. I have a VW Caddy with the woeful 2.0 SDI engine in it, im looking for a bit more power.... What results can you achieve reliably without spending more than £20?
  9. Hang on guys, I can provide some assistance on this one.... When i was 5 years old I had a Tonka Dumper Truck which i used to sit on the rear of and ride down the drive at my parents house (no seat - i just sat in the dumper part of the rear). Until one day I lost control of it going down the driveway and crashed. I really hurt my knee and required 5 stitches, my mother told me on the way to the hospital i might lose my leg. Afterwards i was reluctant to ride the Tonka Truck again.... however with a little persuasion I did indeed overcome my fears. I swear after the first accident it didn't feel right. So i decided not to play with it outside and only keep it inside as an ornament.
  10. So you are saying there is such a thing as a scammer that invests money and sends it out to potential victims! I think the scam here is going to be a email that looks like a confirmation email from paypal that funds have been received.
  11. Err..... if he receives any funds using your method.... it won’t be a scam.
  12. Unclassified, best to look over it first.
  13. Crikey Moses, As above.... chill out it is quiet at the moment. For what it’s worth, your advert is fine. I’d price it at £2750. It’s old school diesel with a high tax bracket. We are based in Newcastle where talk of a ULEZ is rife and making people unsure about diesel unless it’s euro 6. We have 50 euro 5 diesel cars in stock at the moment
  14. Just had a look, and seen that you have to use the details off the V5!
  15. Thank you JDMS, this is an excellent heads up
  16. Somebody believes in them with all of that DEBT!
  17. This is a high possibility. However, guys DO NOT RELEASE any cars until the money has cleared in destination bank. All payments out of banking hours can be cancelled by the sender up to 1 minute before the next banking day starts.
  18. @Dave2302 Dave, could this be like that Honda you had with a choked inlet manifold?
  19. I’m still in Manchester waiting for the other guy to turn up
  20. Not a bad finish that, I remember years ago a customer asked me, what are these marks on the paint, I told them they were the footprints of a daddy long legs, they just laughed and bought it! I wasn't lying.... i had picked the poor thing out of the paint the day before!
  21. Has it had an ECU software update? this car may have a timing chain issue and have fault **CODES** deleted? I know you have replaced the ECU but did you clone the old one? Will it start every time with a bump?
  22. will you take debenhams.co.uk in chop against it?
  23. David if we sell one to Cumbria and have problems we go and get them as unfortunately they don't work for peanuts unlike us in the North East. There are some good 4x4 (Land Rover) lads at Brampton supposedly, bit rough and ready but don't turn work away. I cant remember their name but i can get it if you like? Our local gearbox repairer runs a SJ410 pickup himself, i can recommend him to repair it.
