  1. I buy a lot online, and BCA always phone up to confirm the purchases, why I wonder is it for circumstances like this? If it was a mistake surely you only had the one bid on it? This will go in your favour, their system is very clever and they will have every detail to hand.
  2. Ask them for your money back. To be fair, its probably a learning curve for them too.
  3. i don’t think BHM is much of a socket... I reckon he would be the plug
  4. Knock sensors have very specific torque settings, and must not be exceeded. Try a genuine one, the Eurocarparts one could have been somebody’s old unit that they sent back for a credit.
  5. I think TV is getting confused with superchipping, there was a magazine article way back that claimed that superchips re mapped the patrol cars.
  6. Use another finance company, we use Santander, they dont have acceptance fees. Close do have a no fees product, but you wont get as much commission.
  7. What is the exact make and model? Year? Mileage? A grand off for a service and pads sounds a bit generous/desperate to me.
  8. According to his profile he is in Leeds
  9. Are you on movex? I think you can pick up work from them for your outbound trip. Phone your local BCA branches, they send WBAC stuff everywhere.
  10. Hes in Norfolk now.... but surely he is "well connected" in that neck of the woods
  11. Ive just bought some from a guy on ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293185844226?ViewItem=&item=293185844226 he repairs them too i believe.
  12. We use dragon 2000 and the have an “appraise” app, we don’t use it, but due to a few cock ups lately we might start using it soon.
  13. How strange, I would have thought it would have flown out of the door. Good car to sell from the door
  14. Volvo customers have changed now. Good lease deals on new units make it harder for the used market. They have to be good spec. And most of the customers now look for the newer V60 model in that price bracket (albeit with a few more miles on). As BHM says, that car with 80k on would fly out at £3995 probably.
  15. To be honest, on a 57 plate. Don’t worry about it. Just make sure it’s got oil in the box and drive it until it either stops (very rarely) or sets on fire (quite regularly).
  16. I’ve got a teng one that I’ve had 9 years now and it’s still going strong. I just got a big roll cab thing off sgs engineering, I’m impressed with that too for £600
  17. Give him the bat then I think there are three options. 1. See a Lawyer 2. Put the claim through as though he was on your insurance. 3. Pay for the claim out of your own pocket? Id be going for number 2 and get him to work it off for the rest of his life (With is own insurance)
  18. Very kind of you to allow us to "play" with him first
  19. Have you tried Uk injector removal? He is North East based but goes everywhere. Hes called Paul, mind he’s very busy and you might need to book him for next week (Don’t expect him to come the same day, and don’t quibble on his price - because he has a queue of customers waiting to give him full money)
  20. Now i like a bargain... but ebay for spark plugs?
  21. Whilst its not ideal, its a way out. A good salesperson would work their way around it fine.
  22. A good clean, and pledge or mr sheen works well to make them go back a little quicker.
  23. David, Now be fair.... He can, but only if he has a pocket full of notes to bung the police officer
  24. Are you still having problems with this one? The rocker cover has a built in PCV, when you remove the oil cap with the engine running it should have a slight bit of vacuum. However when they fail they have pressure there instead, and through the dipstick too. when they fail they misfire, stutter, judder and nearly cut out, which throws on the esp light.
  25. Consult Manuel.... he says “que”
