I presume, he means that people often don't thank or even acknowledge his replies? Boring Dave..... Ignore them all, I enjoy reading your posts, its a shame they removed our like buttons.

WBAC don’t need profit on the unit. if they get back what they paid and parent company BCA gets their £300ish buyers fee and they can do that several thousand times in a day it’s a great business model. But WBAC often makes huge profit on the metal also. The beauty of auctions I guess :-)))

Hi, usually the module connected to the drivers motor on these. The passenger one stops working because it's a slave to the drivers one. Should have comms with the drivers door module where you can see the switch inputs. The wires in the door harness also snap away.

Exactly this !! Just look up a "John Smith" or whatever name in the Phone Book and use that address, which just helps to add a bit of credibility, you just say " I have provided you the details that the guy gave me on the day" .................. ONE CAVEAT:- no matter how hard they might press you in the future FFS do not admit you did that, 'cos you will get done for 'Perverting the course of justice' and that is deep shit !!

People don't acknowledge posts, including my posts often, (sniff) but I don't take offence. That'd be boring ;0) and time consuming to acknowledge everything. I'm sure everyone appreciates everyone and their contributions- I know I do.

I used to export to Cyprus back in the early 2000s. Great money back then because of their luxury tax. Anything under 1599CC was cheap but over that was horrendous. 1.6 Volvo V40s used to make a fortune as classed as a prime car. You could buy them here and get them landed and re registered for under 2K and they would fetch 6K over there. A Range Rover commanded over 90K in taxes back thenplus the price of the car.

I green laned a Toyota Surf (remember those) 16 years go now. Like you say, brilliant fun and the stuff the car managed to get through was impressive. Would have liked to have done it in company as I had visions of being stuck alone in the middle of nowhere and having to eat my own arm.

Have you ever took it green laning? I modded a PX Vitara with loads of cheap bits and I think it stood us about 800 quid never had so much fun in a car in my life

+1. Plenty of my cars are 8-10 yrs old. The last thing I want is for my customers to think they’re getting main dealer service.

I went through a stage where i used a window pen, quite good, but, in this country it rains, its too easy to knock the wiper switch when your moving car, and you have to remove it for a test drive, then put it back on when they "got to see the wife"

There are a few pitches near me who open the boots all day, every day. I assumed they were drying them out after leaking lamp gaskets.

I use rear number plates in the windscreen to display "Diesel" and "Auto" and a silent salesman for everything else. I have to admit at my age these are mostly for my benefit!!!
