HI Can you provide a link as the last letter i had from the dvla warned against dd and taxing whilst in trade to marc............my insurer insists any users are in my trade name rather than just in trade if its been through more than one traders hands,be careful this one hasn't if your policy is like mine, LV And welcome to the nuthouse
  5. this is the time to come out of your comfort zone and think outside the box think oddball or cars you normally turn your nose up at dont be too extreme though
  6. with the state of the rims im not surprised why dont you just spend 20 minutes with a touch up brush if you cant be arsed to do them properly that car has only one customer looking for it and because its that colour its got to look better than new,but you know this
  7. look at this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-REVERSING-REVERSE-PARKING-4-SENSOR-KIT-BUZZER-AUDIO-ALARM-2018/152995400083?hash=item239f3c8993:g:U7gAAOSwhHJbH412 just put the buzzer inside the tailgate somewhere and wire the live into the reversing circuit if it has normal bulbs ie no can bus my own car the bleepers dont work do i care ? no
  8. i offer a delivery service as a customer service and not as a condition of sale take it or leave it because the service is only offered if i feel the customer is say a new driver and frightened of driving home we've all been new drivers at some time i will never ever deliver a car without the customer coming to me first you set out your stall and your minimum standards you wish to abide to and keep to them its the law here................
  9. and did it need a clutch after you bought it these people talking up their rubbish are usually hiding loads
  10. £600 for a 53 plate clio,i value these at crush value but always check them over first to see if they are worth testing if my offer is accepted front springs anti roll bushes code for the radio worn out steery wheels dents on the roof where the bonnet nutted it heavy clutch crap colours oily engines abs lights on im stopping now...............horrible things and they never drove right im sure the steering was connected with a lastic band
  11. its a condition of my insurance that i supply any invoices promptly to prove im trading, last time i had to supply parts invoices trade references 3 purchase invoices and 3 sales invoices before they would renew, this is with LV who i get via my broker,my insurance went up 25% in april with no claims too but i wasnt willing to shop around again because ive been there before and trying to get cars on the mid was a nightmare i suggest you park everything off road till monday and go to the pub

just been to the big city and my card worked fine i believe everything is now tickety boo?
  13. i have one of these absolutely vital for abs lights sometimes it takes a while to get comms thats why often the cheaper one i mentioned is used for basic stuff as its quicker,i dont have a battery in either of them though not like the old gendan that timed out after a year and a day the launch can be updated online too
  14. i would suggest this is a better one as it communicates with things my launch cant and its the same price, really invaluable when seeing if lambdas are switching as an example on how to save wonga wonga https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vgate-Scan-VS600-Any-Car-OBD2-EOBD-CAN-BUS-Fault-Code-Scanner-Reader-Tool-UK/320915272514?hash=item4ab80a7342:g:zVYAAOxyzqdTdrDL
  15. previous customer of mine has just walked in offering me a mint 53 plate clio with fdh at £600 (its a relations who is packing in driving) i declined and told him to sell it himself as 15 year old car just bring trouble tomorrow or next week, shame but thats how it is to the OP just say no or offer a figure where you can bail out at if you have to mug it
  16. just to confirm its a diesel in an unwanted diesel in todays world its the 1.4 diesel mm let me think on that one it has those doors that open themselves when you walk away from it peugeot walked away from the project because of warranty claims and you want to buy it to retail it and turn it round quick would i buy it? no at least boxes of ibuprofen are only 12p in aldi
  17. 3 in a matter of months the whole roof of this car has been brillo'd i guess it had bird poo on it had cars occasionally where a child might have done a wing but a whole roof has to be an adult car owners.................stop it now its not big and its not funny as it wont buff out
  18. think positive man you nicked it now dont do what i do in these situations and sell it cheap only for the punters to ask why its so cheap
  19. i had one of those but had to mug it off as it quite clearly was only running on 3 cylinders
  20. if i see stuff like this i always use ebay to check out how much things cost its surprising how cheap some stuff is from lithuania if willing to wait a week for delivery
  21. if you think the tsb is great then dont read sundays past sunday times
  22. you would still be sweeping up with the 70's stuff though funny how a chopped off sill on an old ford seemed to take up two buckets for all the rust
  23. seen them all come all go you give good service, stick to your way of working principles rather than being led and the bacon always comes always remember a trader taking on a new pitch but had no cars for it so he was down the auction this night just buying anything and everything to fill his spaces now back then most things sold but even i struggled with talbot solaros with the sweety jar under the bonnet for the radiator overflow but he bought 4
  24. never done sundays apart from appointments,i think you need to make a decision oneway or the other and stick to it or get someone trusted to run the place and not rob you and thats not easy either as the customer comes back a few weeks later with a small problem and asks you how you did with their p/x that you've never seen so 7 days in a week 52 weeks in a year long time dead for some crazy reason i didnt go away last year so thats a year out of my life times that by working till you drop no thanks
  25. i once bought a car from the poshest house in my nearest town i still remember the 3" nail i found knocked over holding the sliding caliper on thats stuck with me ever since and the amount of fords i found where the adjusters had been welded up in the drum rather than replaced at £18 a set batteries held in with anything to hand wheel nuts missing under the wheeltrims etc etc pdi to save going to jail and a clear conscience and never give a copy of the pdi to the customer its for your records not theirs and is the piece de resistance in court when held aloft shouting He was found guilty, but with 'extenuating circumstances
