  1. There is a chap on you tube who stripped one of these boxes down,it makes an interesting watch if you are mechanically minded, basically your problem would be an oil and filter change I would suspect if there is no slippage or noises but the oil is not cheap and is only available from Nissan if you want to do it right, you need to drop the sump too and be careful of not overflowing. THere's a bloke does the job in sandals at the roadside in . Another YouTube video No words were abused in. The making of this post
  2. i had a maybe in the future buyer today so thats put food on the table today
  3. you live them i love them no capital letters were hurt in the making of this post
  4. really? even the sunday times makes many many errors in its copy because spell check is not used correctly, how many times do you read on here breaks for brakes,we have a great language and the old sayings are still true, use it or lose it,even my wife prefers to txt rather than to actually speaking on a phone sad days ahead, remember if the kids of today would rather be in their bedrooms on a games machine rather than fixing an old clock or playing with meccano then the engineers of the future will not properly understand metallurgy and or boeing planes that become too technology driven to the point they crash just sayin...........................
  5. run round the local streets with a hatchet hang on thats london innit
  6. i got my machine from my ex mot tester it was timed out by the service engineer and he wouldnt come and reset it before it ran out it nearly killed me when it fell on me so i skipped it it was a fantastic tool if you look on the bay most of them have the '''timed out running will need to be reset''' disclaimer you are in middle of nowhere so ask your snap on man would be my best advise honestly when you get one you will wonder how you lived without it once you start working on stuff like fords and peugeots the little filter on the back is about $35 from bawtry and is a 5 minute swap over, just make sure its plugged in every day (the mornsterr) and you purge it or certainly where you are it will pack in fairly quickly :-)
  7. if youve found one that doesnt time out very well done mine did which is why it went dont forget to plug it in every day mind
  8. i was thinking of buying an alternative make as i aint keen on tonto and his mate
  9. thats a right just scrape through is it burning a bit of oil someone else said these engines run on nats piss 0/30 i seem to remember, nasty things a kn wont help will it,just make it go woooooar no not the handhelp they work but are very expensive for what they are its literally a shoebox that sits on the floor and connects to car battery its best to set the co up to a known good car then compare with bad car, its £100+ on ebay or was but it works straight out of the box lambda you can see if its working via a scan tool eg...... eBay item number: 162003793729
  10. hc reading???????? remember they time out so you need to have it updated yearly also you must remember to turn them on everyday and purge them get the service bits off ebay theres a place at bawtry linconshire i had a snap on dga 2500 theres one on the bay now,i moved it and a caster fell off the thing was so bloody heavy and i tried to grab it that it had me pinned to a car, scary moment for quick jobs i use a digital gunsons that works off the car battery its very very good if used carefully
  11. did one a few weeks ago as computer at work said no
  12. just discussing this i used to give an open warranty but it was abused one bloke brought a car back because the interior light was intermittent on the door switch next customer returned a car because a filament in the rear window didnt work either give them a fair warranty or no warranty it really comes down to what car year price mileage condition customer attitude how big the moon was last night your in control so control most customers when explained briefly about consumer rights understand the reason a £1500 has no warranty,if they kick off do you really want to sell them a car,i dont
  13. i would strongly recommend you also add this does not effect your statutory rights mine does
  14. hi tony provide all the information possible add that the car has never been anywhere near the accident address whilst in your care and so is a case of wrong reg or cloned plates,be willing to sign an affidavit to this effect and also ask your broker if they wish you to report to the police this non accident i had this maybe 10 years ago some guys came up from the smoke bought a car off me and i got the same letter for another car i had for sale at the time,my broker took all the details and sorted it for me,i also have legal protection on this policy and if you have this too i would suggest you sound them out too best thing is you have a paper trail
  15. unfortunately i havent got anything reliable enough to run round in thats what customers ask still to this day if its" for my daughter is it safe"?, next thing you see daughter in car, kid jumping round in the back untethered ,maccy d wrappers everywhere, sick on the back seat and a front tyre i could use as a mirror to comb my hair if i had any, but they want to know if theres something wrong with the radio because cladia has stuck a false nail in it the loves..................
  16. im sorry but we arent allowing any more new motor traders to start up as the market is saturated cant you be a plumber pretty please, and ive got a job for you
  17. get it blacked in all the right places or it will be going in for a free safety check next week because customers thought they were buying new at such a low mileage
  18. you havent said ...........well you were such a nice man when we dealt with you......... thats what normally happens when its had a dealer or halfords safety check this is why its always best to do a full pdi a new mot and talk to the customer in a language they understand prior to reminding them what a bargain it is at bla bla bla i forgot to add the pdi is for you to note things like these and see if you can better them before it goes off i had a woman last week moaning about tyre depths of 6mm 6mm 8 mm 8mm she reconned they were nearly ready for change,my pdi i read out in front of her proved different, did i sell her a car ? no,i called her vinegar t*ts when she had gone
  19. you guys are soooo nasty next you will be saying you drop the bonnet from a foot off the slam just as a Akhta walks to you in da block
  20. i have in the past and it ended badly real badly if you are new to this job learn, never take 12 pieces from family it will end with no supper
  21. no fancy plug in gizmo would find a blocked muffler yesterday i had a car rejected because it had a tingly noise on the test drive 6 drives up the road later ( customer gone) and two full inspections underneath i started looking for faults on the bodywork as after various analogies no one could confirm where noise was coming from it was windy and wet i found the aerial made of fibreglass had slightly delaminated and in the wind a strand was hitting the rest of the aerial and this was drumming through the roof can you even imagine finding this on a warranty problem? later in the day i had a body control ecu issue ,turns out after 4 hours an smd has failed in the speedo head but mileage is stored in the head so i cant swap out and the board is so small i cant put another smd in i had the whole dash in bits to get to this ,no plug in gizmo would find it just sayin.............
