  1. It's crazy. The worst of it is, you can't get that car for that price as a private sale either, so it's just a load of total crap from start to finish. But I guess they still provided the enquiry that sold my car?
  2. Got a 12 plate Corsa 1.3 CDTi I took in part ex, 36k, low spec but mint. Put it on for £4,990 which for me seems cheap for a 4 year old diesel but anyway. Sold it over the weekend, today get a call saying she has seen it's 'only worth £3,600 as a private sale' according to AUTOTRADER. It's just so annoying. Where can you get 4 year old diesels with 36k on for that price?? Tell me I'll go and buy them all!! It's madness. Anyway I've explained it and showed her we are basically 4th cheapest on autotrader, and second cheapest if you discount a couple of CAT D's. It's madness how they are operating at the minute.
  3. First sale from Motors this morning - guy lives 3 miles away tried Autotrader - far too confusing, too many sponsored ads, got frustrated and gave up especially as it's so slow. downloaded the motors app from app store, came here 2 days later and sold. I think the tide is turning.
  4. That's why I altered mine slightly as it was coming up on google searches and such.
  5. Madness isn't it? Customer was enquiring on a 2008 40k Scenic I have up for £2800, so basically he wants to give me £900 and then god knows what I do with his piece of cr*p that no doubt has hidden mechanical issues. Below is only similar car I can see using the free valuation tool, less miles and less money at retail than AT's trade value.
  6. Just ordered a part from Peugeot, £220 was it's list price. Some ecu or control unit. I asked if there was any trade discount, 'yes' they said but I'd need to bring down a business card and two forms of ID. That's fine I can sort that. New price £216.50
  7. I like the 1.6 diesel sub 50k really but the petrols seem to have constant head gasket & gearbox issues.
  8. that's what i thought...not this much then ?
  9. Realistically what would you want to be giving in pEx for a 2010 Pug 207 1.4 VTi Verge with 102,000 on the clock and average s/history?
  10. done 5 in last 3 days, up to 22 for the month, so healthy. Hoping for strong finish.
  11. I'm ticking over but again some days are deathly quiet. Last week would have been pretty much a washout but I managed to shift on 5 part exchanges some with small margin some normal, all sub £2.5k cars.
  12. It's not right what they plan to do and I'm not sure they will be able to get away with it. Effectively they plan to say that some dealers who are happy take part exchange actually aren't, because they won't subscribe to auto traders new and totally useless product. As RS says what dealer does not take part exchange?
  13. Thanks Umesh, I've had a bash, 2009 59 with 50k on it, so I guess good mileage for age, and in a nice colour and spec w/ Full Toyota History. See how I get on. Thank you. I do like trying new bits and bobs.
  14. Toyota Urban Cruisers, good news or not?
  15. Took n 2007 80k 107 on Friday and gave a price that meant I could retail it at under 2k, was still a bit worried about the mileage though and it wasn't perfect on the body. Put it on yesterday afternoon and had about 5 emails and two people turn up this morning as we opened. Maybe 5 door element adds desirability as I've had a few of these around 2.5-3k with mileage 50-60k and struggled in last 6 months.
  16. 1 yesterday 3 today, been a busy couple of weeks for me.
  17. How on earth can you claim to be a genuine buyer and in the same breath as for that amount off? It's crackers!
  18. Just had eBay enquiry offering £1800 on a £2490 - 'for a quick cash sale'. lol.
  19. Although some of the cars are rough with poor histories etc the attitude on collection is better than the majority of other online auction sites. Example - have picked a couple up up from A4C Derby with slipping clutches (one wad a Pug 107 and wasn't terrible) and within 5 minutes they credited £250 back to cover the replacements. Not bad really.
  20. Another 1 today, Facebook lead from a £5 advert I put on Wednesday, car only came in yesterday. Yesterday's sale was an autotrader enquiry via email, and tomorrow I have an appointment at 11am from an eBay enquiry, so could complete the set advertising portal wise! If only they were all equal value!!
  21. Ebay has been exceptional for us last 2 months as well, definite increase in enquiries and sales and I've been on there for 6 years. Ticking over this month, 19 I think so far, just wish we could get that consistency back where we don't have consecutive blank days.
  22. Dead yesterday, and I mean dead. But done one this morning and got a test drive at the minute, as well as 2 collections, so shaping up better. Been a very steady April for me thus far.
