  1. Just sold Fiesta ST subject to ZUTO approval.
  2. 2 today, Scenic and a px cheapie. Been a bit quieter though. Lost someone on Auris and Merc C Class.
  3. I've had a nightmare roll in this week too. Brief description - Sold Mazda 6, collected last Saturday, taken to Wales (120 miles away). Customer relatively picky from the beginning. Oil pressure light has come on, 2.2 TD Engine, he's had it 5 days. didn't come on, on the long drive home though. originally customer fine, apparently a sump strainer would need cleaning as this is a 37,500 service item and car has now done 71k so probably due 'again'. He's had it looked at by 'his garage' and now he wants to reject, sighting the sump has been off before and may have been bodged, Wants a refund and me to collect ASAP. As of yet, not sure what route to go down. Don't fancy driving it back from Wales though. I guess he has to show some proof before we do anything?
  4. Hate it when it's like that, probably the worst part of the job imo. Sold a C3 last thing yesterday and Altea this morning, 33 for the month here. Delighted with that.
  5. Volvo C30 and Mazda 5 this morning
  6. couple more today mx-5 i took in part ex and a Megane 2009 1.9dci Priviledge 29 for the month.
  7. The last one we sold the 1.8 petrol version about 2.5 years ago, it just would not stop misfiring with engine light and also cut out every couple of weeks. Plugs, injectors, fuse box, coil packs and ecu were all changed and it would still not run right. We also had to do discs and pads and a clutch, and it ended up with threatened court action - not for the want of trying on our behalf but no one, not Citroen nor the local specialists could accurately diagnose the fault or faults present never mind repair. Never again, EVER. Cost us a small fortune and a bad online review too!
  8. Vauxhall Diesels - clutches, turbos, EGR, injectors, swirl flaps/manifold & fuel pumps lol. Grand Picasso in any form High mileage french diesels
  9. just pulled in another Picasso hour after closing time, can't be bad.
  10. What, 6k-6.5k would you say? To be fair we are in a pretty well to do village with loads of old people should so be worth a go! I often get people come in and say 'what autos you got mate?'. You show them and they never go anywhere with them!!
  11. Two today. Jag X Type and Skoda Octavia VRS Estate. Took a strange part ex on second (for me) 2011 NEW SHAPE Nissan Micra Acenta 1.2 Auto in Plum, 5,000 on the clock. Any idea what I can expect to retail that for? Bit out of my usual comfort zone really? Or anyone want to make a trade offer on it ? It was his grandmas car but she has given up driving now. Car is nice though.
  12. We had our worst ever warranty claim on a c4 2.0 diesel so much so I won't touch them although I love the petrols, lots of car for the money (almost always sub 3k retail) and only ever done one head gasket out of maybe 20-25 sales? incidentally that had only done 39k and was turbo related
  13. 2 sales (Cmax and Picasso) 2 collections (3 series and Mazda6) pretty good
  14. Similar, pulled in a couple and got a couple in the pipeline but definite slow down.
  15. I'd also answer that, you'll find it's probably 50/50 if he comes but if he does 95% of the hard work will be done. had the same last month with long drawn out emails with a real Saab enthusiast. Tickled his ego a bit calling him a Saab expert etc and eventually we did a good deal.
  16. Agreed, in part ex they can often be gold as you can price them with a lovely margin and still be cheapest around. Remember taking a 180k C2 in that sold to London (ex driving school) and better a 2001 IS 200 with 212k on it, drove like a dream and could have sold it 15 times over.
  17. They are not paying for the car without having it though - they can have the car immediately if they wish, they are just choosing not to? Don't see why we should have to sit on a bit of sold stock for a couple of weeks with no payment just because the customer wants us to do the plate transfer for THEIR convenience!!
  18. I've done three in the last month and make them pay as we send them off, at least that way you have the money in the bank to re stock (space allowing). also the v5 comes back in their name ie their car so they should pay at that point.
  19. haha tbh I only had 5 sets of customers all day and the other two walked off, so not a bad strike rate.
  20. I hold between 30-35 normally however I am a bit lower at the minute due to the volume of sales in last ten days. And not telling
  21. 3 now, and 3 collections, another great Saturday.
  22. Advertising 90%, although one claimed motors.co.uk even though we aren't on there ? I'd say 60% autotrader, 20% eBay, 20% Facebook/recommends
  23. yes by all means I agree, just not for doing the vat
  24. Another two this morning, one of which was my Zafira thank god as that was on the way to becoming part of the furniture. It's as clean as anything as well, 1 Owner 35k.
