All the best with it, hope you own a decent pair of running shoes?!
-
They approached me a while ago, I did consider it briefly, but then realised that it was just another company trying to fleece me of my hard earned. As I'm very fussy with my stock, I like to think my customers have confidence in me and my business, without the need for an AA logo. From the outside looking in Mat, you seem to be shifting them very well already, so not sure it would bring anymore business....? Just my 2p worth....

Good luck with the second site, hope it works out for you. Is it nearby to where you are now? Are you running out of space currently, or looking at stocking a slightly different type of vehicle? Sorry if that sounds nosey, just genuinely intrigued....

I wish I had some stock to sell! Did one yesterday, but I'm down to the bare bones, and finding it hard to get the right stock...... I mean, harder than normal...
-
Matt, for what it's worth, you did exactly the right thing, and I would have done the same. Always, always trust / listen to your gut instinct. Whilst it's annoying to lose out on a sale, it's not worth the risk should something have gone wrong.....

Don't you deal in Land Rover's....?!
-
Or not, considering the feedback we've all given about smart cars....
-
Broken springs are quite common and a bit of a pita. And exhausts are silly expensive...
-
I'll bear you in mind....
-
Yes, and a manual....

Funnily enough, I'm currently sitting on a 328i Sport, in Santorini Blue, I've been waiting for prices to climb over the last few years, might have to pull the trigger soon.......

This is so true! Had a guy today come and look at a cheap p/ex today, looked inside and exclaimed at his wife that it had done 150k miles, not 140k miles like he thought. I had to explain that it did CLEARLY state 149,000 miles in the advert. His reply, Oh perhaps I read it without my glasses.......

Well today has been pretty crazy!! Not known it like this on a Saturday for quite a while...!! Ended up on 2 for the day, so a good solid start to the month. Got one on the hook who wanted to leave a holding deposit, but I declined. 4 tyre kickers all on the same p/x all trying to chip me on the price, but as I'm stubborn, I haven't sold it...... Roll on 4 o'clock, I might go and have a little lie down.

I had my eye on a nice clean 56 plate CR-V at Peterborough, but went for daft money, and I don't mind paying strong for good stock!! I'm in the same boat, had a great June, but VERY low on stock, and nothing really on the horizon. Great start to this month, managed to do 2 deals today so far, which is a minor miracle in itself, as my pitch looks like a stall at the end of a busy car boot sale.....
-
Well as he's paying, he can have it delivered on a magic carpet for all I care.
-
Yeah
-
He might change his mind when I tell him it's £450 + vat.....
-
Ha yeah I know, I did warn him it would be expensive. But as he got upset that the road was muddy on the test drive, I think he may be happy to spend the money!
-
Thanks for that, I'll give them a shout.... Just looked at their website, think they might be a bit high end for my modest little SLK...
-
I've just sold an SLK to a chap who wants it delivered in a covered car trailer / transporter. Can anyone on here recommend someone reliable and trust worthy? The customer is paying, just want to make sure it gets there in one piece! Must be an enclosed trailer / transporter. I'm based just north of Peterborough, the car is going to Rotherham if that helps? Any suggestions / recommendations would be much appreciated...! Many thanks

To be fair, it was sitting on the floor of the pitch, not the car, does that still count?!
-
I think the most I've found in a car, is about £6 all down by the drivers seat rail. Funny this should come up, day before yesterday, jumped in one of the cars in the corner of the pitch, and found a £20 note sitting on the floor!

I'm sorry, but that did make me laugh.... ".....a bit of stray Nigel sweat landed on my arm...."
