I've had a cracking start to the month! Sold two vehicles to the same customer today. The wife purchased a Renault Kangoo van to ferry her bike around in, husband spotted a Merc SLK on my website, fell in love with it, and rolled over whilst I tickled his belly. I'll never get two sales as easy as they were! Both had really good margins in, and to top it off, I'm taking a lovely 63 plate Audi S1 1.4 TFSi in part chop, ready to retail, literally not a stone chip on it, 13k miles, full Audi history, just been serviced by Audi...... If only all deals were like this one! I live for days like today in the motor trade..... Probably won't sell anything else for the rest of the month now!

Yeah you're right, tastes much better now....
-
Ha, same here, even clean the floor in the unit with it. Bloody horrible stuff to get on your bear hands though.....
-
SimpleSimon, I think you need to go and get a dog, you're obviously lonely.....
-
Give a troll a keyboard and this is what happens! Much like the nonsense reviews.....

I just ignore them, they soon move on and contact you lot!

Do you get notified when you get a review? Where do it show up on your dealer portal?

Febuary 2017 Sales (all be it a little late)
Ocsltd replied to betginge's topic in General Dealer Chat
Had a good day yesterday, sold 2 lumpy cars with good margins in. Not so good today. Had a lad down on a £3k van, he was delighted to know it would come with a full 12 months mot and 3 months warranty, I wasn't delighted when he revealed he had a budget of £2k!... -
I think you already know the answers.....
-
Presumably they've taken your money quick enough though!
-
Not sure you needed to tell that story twice

Hood? Think you mean bonnet

Thanks for the replies, I am surprised to be honest. Thought most people would turn their nose up at the Suzuki bagde.....
-
Thanks, I've never had one, didn't realise they had a following. I know CR-V's and Rav4's are good news, but wasn't sure about Vitara's....
-
I've just been offered a 2006 Suzuki Vitara 3dr 1.6 with 56k miles against a Renault Kangoo van I've got. Are they good news? Any common issues to look out for? Cheers

Ridiculous isn't it!! Yeah, it drives really well to be fair, four matching Avon tyres with loads of tread! 2 X keys, even the air con works!!! I've had 2 test drives, both commented on how smooth and well it drove, but both ran a mile when I asked for cash!! (One of them shook my hand, said yeah I'll have it, asked where the nearest cash point was, and said I'll be back in 20-30 mins. Never saw him again!)

Yeah I agree! I've currently got a cheap part ex for sale, 2000 W Reg up for £475. Get an autotrader lead today, "Hi, interested in your Corolla. Does it have cruise control or aux input? When can I come for inspection? Thanks"
-
Yeah same here, I find them better built and less to go wrong! Give me a low mileage R Reg Toyota Corolla all day long.....!

Fiat 500 in candy floss pink?
-
I might put the word "Specialist" in front of my trading name, if it means I can start charging £4K over retail...... Suzuki Ignis specialists hasn't quite got the same ring to it, has it....

Well the madness seems to be rolling over into February! Had my eye on a 2010 Saab 9-3 1.9 TTiD Automatic Estate, Grade 2, 40k miles, FMDSH, 1 Owner, so ticked all the boxes, think cap clean was something like £4800, hammer price, £7400!!! That's retail money!!! Might go back to selling bangers, think there's more margin in them!!!

Sit tight.
