  1. they cant ban you for saying what everyone else is thinking can they.........woops thats me gone as well
  2. MMA is a dyer place and they hate traders and make excuses in telling you, the fees they charge are set up to put non regulars off and therefore eye watering , last time i was there i would say 90% of the stock is purchased on line, the cafe is outstanding though.
  3. I had to read it twice Each to there own and all that, for me it goes up for sale when its ready and not a second before, we just put awaiting finial preparation in the window on stuff awaiting to be done, I did have a trading standards comment a few years back about pricing stuff that wasnt ready for sale when they asked to see it.

Very similar views as everyone the bottom two i would take off for sure, the top people would expect them to be fitted.
  5. I have had a few pugs with rumbles from the boxes (that sounds so wrong) some seemed to respond well to Forte gear box additive and some didnt.
  6. Should say it was £2 and we had to send them to you easy money
  7. Same when sold it forms part of our internal check list, DVLA notified MID updated payment enclosed that kind of thing.
  8. We dont know values here so its hard to put a figure on what would be a decent offer to him, he has said he would repair the car himself, enough said there is no way on gods earth could he come back later and say its still faulty you would simply reply you clearly didnt do what you said you was going to do. Your offer should be a fair one, and make sure you clarify you had offered to get the vehicle back and put it right however HE decided to sort it himself thank him for his business chq enclosed job done, good result.

There isn’t a single person on the planet that would be able to answer that mate.
  10. I kinda disagree you can see faded paint a mile off it looks dull and grainy with no life, i am not saying your cars are like it the point i was trying to make was that sometimes i feel we go overboard. Just scrolling down the various adds the more it shines the more it draws your attention i think anyway. a quick flick through some adds to find what i am trying to get across in picture terms see if that makes more sense. where as we would polish it to within an inch of its life and get aw bollux i cant get the pics to upload i hate computers http://<a href="http://s90.photobucket.com/user/sextons/media/dull black punto_zps2glfz59s.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k252/sextons/dull black punto_zps2glfz59s.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo dull black punto_zps2glfz59s.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s90.photobucket.com/user/sextons/media/shiny%20punto_zpsc7saaxdf.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k252/sextons/shiny%20punto_zpsc7saaxdf.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo shiny punto_zpsc7saaxdf.jpg"/></a> I give up why havent we got an edit post button or preview post button this forum is a little behind the times in some areas
  11. Whats your favorite was (wax)
  12. Why only a pitch if you get the lighting right the picture will stand out if the car is well polished of course color being a big variable, white will look clean silver will still look crap but a dark color with flawless paint still jumps out no matter where its parked pitch or not. Of course i am no expert i have never tried selling a car anywhere other than a pitch so just my take on it.
  13. I often think we go way over the top cleaning cars sometimes we take up to two days one day on the interior and the second polishing the car machine two stages and then a wax, i often comment that would be £500 min in a detailing center but that said they do look amazing when finished and often sell quick, would it have sold that quick with flat oxidized paint.
  14. On the return trip can you send me back a young lady 21 who doesnt mind cleaning cars and cooking.
  15. Our biggest loss of the year went to a 207 if i had to quit tomorrow or buy another 207 i would be selling the big issue before you know it.
  16. Thanks for chipping in and being part of the community
  17. I would think its almost impossible to answer that, as geographical differences would make it almost impossible to get an answer you could work with. Then factor in things like trader a, works hard on his Facebook page boosts posts lots of likes really good question response rate ect then trader b, pops the odd add on here and there never boosts anything takes days to answer if your sitting in the pub and you have a pint with trader a, you would jump on Facebook as he says its the best thing since sliced bread(thats an odd saying as i prefer to cut my own anyway) if your where sitting with trader b, you wouldnt bother as he would say its full of kids and geeks you cant understand. My very long winded point is you have to find out what works for YOU by YOU no one has a crystal ball and the market is changing daily even if the old school dont want to admit it.
  18. Funny you should mention mini's sometimes we all have sheep mentality I touch wood have never had a problem with a Mini the odd power steering pump but nothing else, now i am scared to buy them why ? because everyone else says there junk yet if you look at my warranty claims the Mini scores in the lowest percentage the highest being Pug 207 with that shocking 1.4engine (the same as the newer mini) Then Polos with them dropping valves emissions nightmares for mot and lastly Corsa's I just cant seem to go a month without one popping a gasket of some sort. So my main avoid list from my own experience is Vauxhall Corsa 1.2ltr engine 1.4 is fine Any VW with a 3 cylinder engine (includes Seat and Skoda) Mini.....and i have no idea why sod it i am going to buy one today There are vehicles you buy knowing full well there 50/50 going to have faults Punto with a gear box or alternator for example, buy a Fiesta on line expect the seat clips to be broken and not mentioned thats £100 for the fronts but there still worth buying
  19. I dont watch top gear anymore since they left the bbc whats sad about the porkers
  20. Talking of mini's good old mike brewer is doing one tonight any bets on what faults arise, 1. Power Steering 2. Excessive corrosion 3. Window regs 4. Stupid B pillar plastics thats the older one covered, New ones, Same as above but add timing chain.
  21. Bloody computers sure they need coffee as much as i do to get going. We often end up with far to many gaps on the pitch and often get the ho ho ho you closing down guv, just smile and say nope business is good as we sell low mileage quality there always in demand, or something like that that, just remember there are people closing there doors daily in our game so its not a bad position to be in. As regards your stock profile stick to your guns just because some other dealer has had back luck with them models doesnt mean you will, i bought two Fiat Puntos the weekend to look over at my mates shaking there heads at me Marmite comes to mind.
  22. I love the way the first sight of sun and soft tops go mental in price at the block, then 3.5days later its back to cold shitty weather and you have them stuffed up your ass for 12months. Or you buy one and the roof mech is as reliable as Trump and the customer lives with you. Can you tell i am a big fan NOT Air con all the way job done, wind in your hair you cant go over 40mph these days without getting a speeding ticket. When i was younger much younger i used to have a m3 evo soft top a proper drivers car which we used to take down to Le mans 24 endurance rally each year, bit of a boys weekend away and once you hit France those roads and heat thats what a soft tops are made for.
  23. I never had any luck going that route, i have a few scrap guys who come around and take them off me. if there more than that then gumtree is your friend, or mongbook free for all in your area just be brutal
  24. I just took an 08 Ka Style in with full tank 11 and a half months mot spotless in purple 2 owners 42k for £400, lady said it has been serviced with the mot each year to be honest i thought dont care just going to punt it out for £799 and low and behold its only a Ford service and mot ever year.
