Hi all Has the car finance company (bad credit Lenders) in trouble ? Ive noticed they have stopped taking applications for new finance and there not taking on new dealers. anyone know anymore. This is a blow tbh as they did take on a lot deals that otherwise were dead. Ive noticed Moneybarn have dropped there vehicle age and other critera so maybe they are looking to grab some new business.

A Warranty company that pays out ? do you care to enlighten us Rory
-
How often do they send you leads, am sure they must prioritise certain dealers over others. The fellow dealer I was talking about appears to be getting leads every day. Maybe he is paying a little more hence the high amount of leads
-
A dealer near me in subprime is getting a lot of leads from these guys which are turning into deals, this would explain Tom's point. I think they are trying to get customers who have propped themselves with their first choice lender, normally for bad credit Moneybarn, then charge an admin fee to the customer. If that backfires or they can't get the customer through with there 1st choice there sending the leads to dealers and charging their own commision on sign up. Seems a better plan, the alternative would be they use a 2nd choice lender on there panel and get £80 or something when they can charge us £200+ by referring the customer and convert an otherwise dead lead. this IMO but could be wrong.

Hi Spark How much do WMS charge for a 6 month warranty, or even the 12 month. I give 3 months warranty as standard stand by me via 3rd party self cert warranty but want to look at 6-12 month for an upsell or to give away as a close for customer looking for longer cover

Very quiet in Cheshire on the sales front however the garage has been mad busy, Lots of trade work in as there buying anything that looks cheap as the madness down the block seems to be spilling over into march Just one this week. 2009 Panda base model with black bumpers. made hardly anything on it, I bought it for the sub prime pitch but it just doesn't sit right with the other stock. anyhow stuck it out for sale on net and gone. Have to say though they are alot of car for the money, that 2009 panda with 75k all be it base model was £525 at the block + the bastard tax

Jag s type still going well, now has private plate on it, cleaned to death and serviced. looks alot of car, reality is i spent more on dinner last night than the car cost Has started knocking over pot holes, shocker bush going but the shocks are £160 each Crazy,

This is why it will change again, the point you made is spot on, how do you stop ANPR picking up the original plate untaxed and issuing a auto fine. If you then ring up dvla and say i was on plates, if they turn around and say 'send us your number and that's fine they are then making a legal loophole for getting out of driving untaxed vehicles with no real way of them disputing it. to be fair though I have never had any issues with police or dvla over trade plates and i have had a set for years. Im glad i no longer have to go into the local office anymore for the stupid review they used to do. anyone can get a set now which is a little silly in some cases. a friend of mine who has been in the game for 50 years remembers green trade plates, there used to be to sets of plates, red like we have now for limited use, business only and green set for what ever you like. Needles to say he never taxed a car. Sadly they changed the system in the 70's

Come on Car dealer team, we need to like posts with witty banter -
Really interested in this but, i tried entering a vehicle and it would not give me a valuation. The point of WBAC is the input in pricing of vehicles is extensive to each car and model and is instant, so the customer knows what he or she is looking at. I am little confused how the system works and would benefit

Should all online Classified Websites be pay per lead only?

I did place a post with my comments but it has been removed. Not sure why, but i am getting a little bit sick of my posts being deleted and no one having the plums to tell me why. -

Sub prime leads for me please Jim. I would pay money for such leads such as HP declines etc providing I knew where they are coming from, lots of rogue firms out there fishing for data and breaking lots of date protection and TPS laws. The thing is I don't think there is enough leads for the amount of dealers who want them, Some big car supermarket or sub prime giant will just come along and buy the lot. -
Hi all Its been months now since I first posted about the like button going on annual leave. Well it appears in my case that its not on annual leave but has retired to live in the Algarve Permanently, Possibly sharing a time share with the Edit button which has also done a runner. Is anyone else still having issues with the like and edit button not showing, CDM mentioned they had been some technical issues that they were sorting but to no avail it would seem in my case.

Febuary 2017 Sales (all be it a little late)
betginge replied to betginge's topic in General Dealer Chat
maybe but this is a rare one as the roof works -
Rory is correct here, make sure you are picky who you sell it to. You dont want some chav buying it trying to save £2000 on the retail price but thinks he is fully protected by CRA. Be very clear in the listing, and make sure such statements as rory mentions are on the invoice that the car has not been checked etc. A6 sounds like the tackle that ends up going behind the old iron curtain.

Febuary 2017 Sales (all be it a little late)
betginge replied to betginge's topic in General Dealer Chat
From the place we have at the min, we sell stuff from £600 to £2.5k with the exception of the A3 Dream boat yesterday. However we have lots of later stuff in the yard at the min for our other size sub prime site, whenever the FCA pull there finger out, sick of people asking if there sale, They think a 59 Eos is worth £995. Bloody peasants -
With all the CRA legislation you just cannot sell bangers like that from a pitch every day, you would just end up in county court every month.

Last 24 Hours Picasso 1.6 Hdi (oh no) Ford Focus 1.6 on the 07, 115K on it, lots of history priced well, flew out the door. And the crappy 98 A3Tdi banger , cant forget that little gem -
Took a car back the other day to local dealer we do mot's and prep on there retail vehicles, We do a lot of trade work for other dealers as well as running our own sales. Anyhow off I go to the dealer with the understanding I would have a car to come back in for work. Arrive at the dealer drop off the keys to find out that the car for prep is at paint. Great !!! Am stuck 18 miles from work with no lift home. They just took in a part ex they say, a 98 Adi a3 Tdi with 223K on the clock and that had more hits than the Beetles £100 and its yours. My local scrap man will give the £100 back, so sod it. I pay up and leave, to be fair this old smoker drives well. Turbo works and even feels like someone has stuck a clutch in it recently, God knows why. Anyhow, so impressed with the way this piece of crap drives I get my farther in law who works for us to stick it on Facebook. £200 spares or repairs, 5 months mot runs and drives. Well his mobile overheated like a k series engine, calls calls calls. 40 mins later he meets someone on the fronts who takes it away. wrote on the invoice, not fit to drive, sold as seen, would of put bag of poo but not very professional for a sage invoice. Very impressed with the response from Facebook, goes to show, ONE MAN'S TRASH IS ANOTHER MANS TREASURE
