  1. Agree with this, and if it does come back, get it in the workshop get it diagnosed correctly and pay up and move on. If it was me I would pay out to fix it after 32 days, if it was 4 months plus with a few thousand miles on it and would not pay to fix unless it was exceptional circumstances. them bloody pugs and lambda sensors are a nightmare for reliability , top tip if it is a 02 sensor fault dont buy cheap nasty ones, peugeots don't like your nasty euro car part of ebay cheap sensors, ive been here already just buy the OE ones like bosch or NGK etc
  2. Don't find anything in our part exchanges money wise, when dealing with sub prime the only thing i find is court summons and used scratch cards.
  3. am sure it does, I need get one two. 1 out today, a insignia sri nice profit in it and took an ibiza in chop. My other deal got pulled by the finance company due to bank statements not adding up. got to try and get him approved with another lender now
  4. Still trying to convert my approvals into sales, Got two down today, both local. All docs in but both cars they wanted have not been through prep, mad rush tomorrow to turn them around and get them out of the next day or so. its not to bad here but more to be done
  5. Change the cat, from those figures it clearly not working correctly the CO is to high and as someone else suggested the lambda are not switching (loop) correctly either. I would replace the cat, both lambda sensors, plugs and the temp sensor. A oil change will help also.
  6. I know on the mazda 6 the dpf light is also the service indicator light, dpf regen light and the timing chain stretch sensor. my advise is get someone to look at it who has worked on mazdas before take it to the agent and pay the plug in fee. The last one I had in we did a regen thinking it was the issue, it was not. We then did some reasearch and found the issue was the condition on the oil. A simple oil change and reset which is manually done under the bonnet with a piece of wire to the body and one of the relays turned off the light
  7. Well said Rory, As long as it does not turn into mums net this forum, that site is one bitch fest, Caleb is a member am sure.
  8. Never mind a new car, he wants to go down the cobblers and get his shoes sorted, nearly worn through the rubber lol
  9. Cheshire has its nice places and its rough parts, I live in the nice part but my business is in winsford which the number 1 shop is Bright house. This is why we set up the sub prime pitch here, ideal market to tap into. We get lots of the above persons living beyond their means. They come in thinking they are getting approved and going home in a Audi A4 S-line but really they leave in a 207 with a complimentary First Response air freshener, always a deal breaker that one.
  10. We don't mind people pushing our cars for us, its called ebay motors, the local paper AT, Car Gurus, Motors.co.uk, Facebook and walk ons. Your idear is not going to work for so many reasons pointed out already, It may work as Max said on high end vehicles but in that game it takes a long time to become trusted and build a name and lot of cash.
  11. 1 Today , 09 focus, Was a Real messy deal to sort but we got there. Customer got out of his neg equity and into our focus and paying less per month, we had to take a hit on the price but got a nice G out of it. Got 6 approvals going through so looking really busy next week.
  12. There is some truth in this, my dad is high up in amazon and mentioned this recently. I am not sure how their model is going to work but am sure they have the money to make a platform work
  13. Some licences have taken a few weeks for some members, my licence which was granted in april took 4 months so be warned you may be in for a wait. am sure there are some brokers out there that did work with garages without fca but am sure now they are insisting it for new dealers.
  14. I buy a few insignias at the min as I have mastered these gearbox repairs. I bought one the other month that was a 1.8petrol fitted with the f40 box which is just as a crap as m32. Basically as always 1st and 3rd were moving the gearstick and the normal wine had started. We took the box out, stripped down the box measured the bearings and bought them from bearings online, cost £58 with postage fitted back together with a tube of box sealer £9 from motor factors and good as new. Top tip is to replace the slave cylinder if the bearing is noisy (thrust bearing noise) however they are £160 new , ours had a tiny wine when depressed, we greased it up and it was like new. The thrust bearings seem to dry up really quick. so in total is costs about £90 to rebuild the box, Older insignias around 09 10 plate are peanuts now at the block always under book as dealers are trying to budget in box rebuild.
  15. 2 Deals today a Nice 57 plate mazda 5 diesel with 60k, lovely car with great margin and a 60 plate Astra sri 1.4t over average miles but a lot of motor for someone with bad credit who is chopping in a 98 megane convertible. megane is a peice of shit which is saying somthing for me. Not a bad week this week, lots of approvals and movement with the finance companies trying a lot harder to make deals. running a bit short on 7 seaters, just bought in a 2010 kia carens cdi for handy money, £1950 with full history and they drive far better than your average zafira trash. this month is looking better already
  16. Really easy, its via the menu on the stick, there is an option to reset oil life, click confirm and bob's your uncle
  17. Ive got a nice Coupe S3 that needs going on ebay, not the type of thing for subprime. Got 3 approves yesterday and one at the weekend. All booked in for saturday and monday, if i Can deal them all it will be a great start and on target for the month.
  18. I paid £140 for my s type 3.0 v6 from the block, stuck a private plate on and it looks the bee's knees. People get in and think its a Few ground of luxury motor, Could do with a new caliper and some shocks soon though. haha I might be slightly overweight are give you that, but at 29 I ain't that old pal
  19. Even harder when your phone don't work, if the openreach man does not fix my line today I am going to Nail is hands to the local exchange
  20. Was it the Sunday times rich list, If so I am not on it But am sure @umesh will be on that list somewhere, maybe under a Alias
  21. Play with Fire you will get your hands burnt, Its an auction if you can't afford to take the risk of buying from an auction which is exempt from the sales of goods act and also the CRA then don't go there. Very simple Annoys me when you get moaning so called traders enraged because they have been misguided into thinking auctions are a place to buy cheap cars with no issues, OH look there is a buyer in the doorway with £1000 cash profit looking to buy my latest purchase.
  22. The one thing I hate about this industry is the customers
  23. Anyone still getting leads from car finance 247, They were offering out customer leads a while ago on paid on sale basis.
  24. Just to add to the doom and gloom Since Wednesday Afternoon our phone line has been down, openreach can't get to us until monday Really messed up chasing leads having no outgoing phone line, We do have one man approved just waiting for him to come down and sign next week. To be honest I can't wait for this week to end. rubbish week
