The main issue is the spinning outer case, any socket will bash on providing thats not there, Hence the smart snap on kit that rory was on about. Only issue with them is the tips are expensive and you get about 3-4 goes out of them each. In the workshop (providing there steel lock nuts not alloy) we just tack a weld on the outer casing, wack a tight socket on and buss off with a air gun set to MENTAL MODE. (HIGH PRESSURE) Works every time, and takes 5 mins to get the lot off, then just by a lock set for tenner from ECP

Mot's are up and down these days, not so long ago they were licence to print money. Were trying to build up our daily numbers with trade mts but it's a slow climb but we are getting there. My mates place in sale, manchester charges the full £54 per test and does 12 min a day Lucky swine

That one is beyond a decent backdrop, Right bloody Bean Can on wheels. The dealer selling that is a fool, some fly by night who wouldn't know what Vat or Consumer rights were if it hit him (or Her) in the face.

My other business is a Mot Station, I am also a Tester although don't do much testing these days. At our last refresher meeting we were told that they are looking at scrapping the mot certificate in a couple of years with account of it being all online. I can't see them doing this as it's not mandatory to give out a certificate anymore although everyone expects to get one. DVSA work in strange ways so don't be surprised if they do get withdrawn.

Can't be doing with let downs. If 3 let me down in a day, I would definitely need to kick the Cat when I got Home

I haven't got access either yet, I have heard the private members lounge is full of snobs, the Ale is really expensive and the juke box is broken. Best off in the general forum I think with me and the other Riff Raff

The risk of becoming to big to soon, There is a lot to be said of having a small site that's busy with low overheads. We all think lets get a big site and expand but it can back fire. Shame Caralot Have gone bump but just shows the risk of businesses in the 1st 2 years, so many go bust.

Some subprime lenders will not finance Dacia's lol. I am going into this market in the new year with application for FCA going in tomorrow. I have worked with firms who uses Car Finance Company, there also was Credit 4 Cars bt they went belly up about 12 months ago. TCFC are great for getting deals done that would otherwise be lost. Rory, who do Evolution Use for sub prime placing, assume there just a broker, would it not be worth dealing with their lenders direct, or have they got some special deal with a lender that us mortal cant get access to

Cheers Guys Might be worth it on free Trial, If it brings one deal every other month for nothing, it's worth doing. Jim I get Your point on the days on sale status, this needs scrapping. You would think they would drop this as its a put off to dealers which let's face it, they need a shed load more of us to get the site even a fraction as popular as AT

Hi Guys There seems to be some strong support for Car Gurus Website from traders on this forum. I am thinking of using them but wanted to know people's response from using the service, Is it just an extra place to stick stock on or do the leads side work in getting customers on the phone or on the pitch. I understand its free so seems a no brainer but can't see it being an Autotrader Light for Free.

Three Today. Focus saloon, Yes a Saloon, they sell would you believe #Lucky-Swine Also Deal struck on an old Corsa C, However the cleanest 998CC Corsa Ive had for long time, Little 1 owner 70K Minter. Then a nice Profit on a Block Car, Bought from One Auction to place in the Rival. £250 after deductions, not to be sniffed at. If only they were all that simple.

1st Question are you Vat Registered ? If Yes Surely You're Using The Margin Scheme, So You Would Worry me slightly that you're unsure how vat would work on commercial vehicles. It's a lot more simple with vans, If you pay vat when purchasing you sell with vat. Only trick is when buying from private or tradesperson, You need to find out their status with vat and if they paid it when they Bought it.

I don't think Any Finance House does. What are you trying to get on HP That's on the List ? If you don't mind me asking

You must of bought it off a rogue dealer, we are all law abiding Dealers here. Our vehicles don't go wrong, And if they ever did and someone complained they would find a horse's Head in there bed, Which is standard practise, See Section 2.11 Of the Consumer Rights Act. (Well that's How I Read it anyway) Basicly pal, You have registered to the wrong Forum, You need Honest John

Well Jell !!!! Love the Cayenne

Ive said it before & I will Say It Again WE NEED TO START GETTING TOUGH WITH THESE CUSTOMERS. Sometimes you need to move on customers who you know will give you issues, The only saving grace is when there on Finance there is another barrier in front of the rights to reject, more complex and the customer is more likely to go down the repair route than reject if issues arise.

I Think We All Need To Start Getting Tough With These Customers

Have to agree with SC Derby, the 1.8 & 2.0 Tdci don't give that much issue, but the 1.6 unit is a horrid engine.
-
Trying to get a clean Cmax is difficult the same with Zafira's. There abused by families with Mcdonals and baby sick, and an Old Dog called Shep Thrown in the boot for good measure. Cmax are the same as focus mechanically, I try not to buy the 1.6 Diesel engine due to Turbo Fails that Cannot be Fixed. There are some Ecu faults but they are rare, A Clean Petrol 1.6 is the one try to buy.

Mats Spot on, Pre Facelift Engines which have the weak gearbox, (there a Chrysler reworked Engine) are Pre 2006 Facelft, The engines are ok though. Later 2006 engines are Peugeot Engines 1.4 & 1.6, I have scene the odd whiney box but nothing like the old model. However the Later Engine suffers with a few gremlins such as noisy camshafts and Eats Lambda Sensors for Fun. They seem to last a few years then pack up, A new Sensor and a Flash with Obd always sorts it.

Thanks Umesh I have taken a look at both sites, Have to say Car Dealer 5 does look the better site and explains in more detail, Although I have to say the name sounds like a Tv show on Channel 5. Looking at Clickdealer it's not very informative, However Most Guys in the trade including chaps on here are using it so must be the leader for good reason. I will give them a call and if I am sceptical I will ring the other lot. Cheers Guys Lee
