Febuary 2017 Sales (all be it a little late)

classic car auction, for the Mitsuoka Viewt, been keeping an eye in the local classic car weekly mag on auction prices for modern classics, there going mental down the classic block, might be worth a look into unless your serious in going on with it. Or maybe just stick it on the bay, if there is none on auction but all classifieds might be worth a try. 2002 focus with a EML light on and a blowing exhaust, Sounds like a right Trinket. I had one guy the other day who wanted to Part EX a iphone 5c against a 07 focus some Punters are on bastard drugs -
Welcome Good Luck with your new venture, Its something i have wanted to do myself this area but Cannot see this happening for long wile. I do think there is demand for modern classics and retro vehicles. I think Ebay classifieds will be your friend here, its free for first two months and it doe sent break a leg each month in costs like AT. Classic car weekly do free listings. The classic car auction market is a strange one. its more ideal for selling than buying in a trade sense, I keep an eye on the selling prices in the local classic rag and the prices for some modern classics are going through the roof. Even bloody metros are making thousands now lol buying classics that have been blocked in the local general car auctions can be a winner. I see lots of old stuff thats worth money in the classic market doing peanuts as its just not the right place for them to be sold hence the low values.

I remember selling a old Peugeot 205 diesel with 170K on it for £250 to someone who wanted a cheap diesel with test. Old Diesel engines were far better, Its modern engines in general as even old petrol engines were easy to work with.

Took in a 08 Colt 1.4 Diesel Auto which had just been Written off Cat C, Gave £130 PX Sent it to the Block with a £250 reserve on it. Someone who wants a cheap auto diesel who don't mind a dent in the quarter is welcome to it. Did £870 Return £820 Needless to say I nipped into the local Indian on the way home to celebrate -
I would say petrol is more reliable than diesel these days, with the exception of 1.2 1.4 vauxhall engine with the chain, and the VW 1.2 lmp that burns valves for fun. Oh and the horrid 1.6 Peugeot vvti engine thats also in minis and BMW's Thinking about it, Neither Petrol or Diesel are reliable. If you want reliable engine get a Honda 1.6 Vtec Petrol or just get a bicycle

I know what you mean, one of the reasons i don't want to buy a decent range rover, Soon as my neighbours see that up the drive I will be getting a random call from HMRC wondering why its not on drip. My neighbours are stuck up bellends, with there 66 plate Audi A3's on 4 Year PCP

No one has added Febs sales list, so I thought I would do the owners Last few Days 2007 Polo 1.4 (hate the 1.2 it burns valves out for shits and giggles) 2006 Focus 2.0 Petrol Ghai X ( Shock of the week) 2006 Corsa 1.2 twinport banger via facebook, sold in 1 hour from posting online Even bought in a MG ZS today (soft spot for MG's) 2005 Facelift 1.8 Petrol, 89K, in grey for £140, Old guy walks in after a mot fail, needs a spring and tyre and he been quoted silly money so baled on it. Now i Know there worth nothing these old ships but for £795 asking, its a cheap bit of motor.

Dont press the sport button Last one i used and pressed that sport button the engine check light came on and it ran like a dog lol. Am glad to hear that there is guys out there driving smokers regardless of the amount of money we spend on cars to sell, Just goes to show what penny pinching gits we are

Well lets hope your right, i can deal with a couple of months longer but not much more than that. Your right though they had our money as soon as we did the app

All the heaters work well. Although today I have had it on the ramp it needs rear brakes, ball joint and a noise from the steering on hard lock. To be fair it's a bragain and a lovely drive
-
Rang them today, they told me that there is a back log and it could take up to 6 months yes that's right 6 months What a joke, a few months back they were turning applications around in a few weeks not it's months. Angry and annoyed doesn't cover it.

As the title goes do Auto trader and the EU have a lot in common. We pay lots of money to be in there club. Get no say over what goes on, are ignored at every opportunity and have no ways to address the unfairness. There attitude is ''Well you need us more than we need you'' Can this attitude last for ever ?

I am now on week 5 of waiting for my FCA consumer license to come through, After engaging with guys on the this forum and confident with replies from others of theirs turning up within 21 days I thought I would be sorted by now. I spoke to them the other day to find out that they have not even issued the application to a case officer, Great I know it can take up to 3 months but I thought with it being a limited application it wouldn't take the full time as it would seem is going to happen in my case. Has anyone had a long slog with the FCA getting the license through or am I just the unlucky one, Little annoying as I cannot open until it arrives and with £1500 of costs going ot each month waiting is a little annoying.

I tried buying a sx4 at 200 over cap and it did 500 more, also 2 09 astra's at around 1700 cap was in at 1850 both did 2k mark I did however buy a very cheap 90k i10 on the 59 down as a non runner. I had seen it go through last week unsold running well. Now it won't start, bidded 500 and got the call yesterday saying it's yours lol great Go Monday to see what I got myself into, to be honest even if it needs an engine there only 250 and a easy job.

They are a unreliable engine IMO but they have got this unit in fords, Peugeot Citroen Volvo and it's even creeping into fiats now. I always flush the oil with forta oil flush do a service and a regen on every one. The egr issue is a pain, there a nightmare to get at cost 100 to buy and then pack up again 12 months later.

Last day sold Yaris, 207 and a lovely ssasangyong what ever keyon or somthing lol

sorting out a 11 plate fiesta 1.6tdci which is the 1.6hd pug engine in drag (cracking, reliable engine Honest) engine light on, scan says glow plug open circuit, check the relay - fine, so remove the glow plugs to replace 1.2.3 come out fine, all shity and near dead when tested, Great thats the issue then. Go and take last one out and snapped the end of the tip, which is now stuck buried in the cylinder head, looks like the head has to come off to get it out

To be honest I don't think many people care that much about zafira's catching fire or even VW's and the emissions problems. When most people think of buying a 7 seater they automatic reply is zafira or a maybe a galaxy / sharan, the issue being the latter is a lot more money than the humble zafira. The mazda 5 is great car, far better than the zafira, the issue is that its not well known unless someone has been doing there research or better still they know someone who has one,
-
Very underestimated car the Mazda 5 a great 7 seater and nice change from zafira. I always try and buy them, I missed one today on the 58 plate with 54k 1.8 petrol do £2k which is very cheap for one of them.
