  2. whats new we all get these types july and august plus they always wear shorts
  3. ive got a cat d here, nobodies even peered into the interior in 3 months so i put the price up and i have an appointment for thursday on it so reducing isnt always the answer my advice would be change all photos completely rewrite the advert see if the car needs another deep detailing sell as long mot (you can always offer new fresh mot as a sales tool face to face)
  4. this what i had to get for a car from isle of man i had to pay for it and something else cant really remember if its a good spec car that you know has profit in the window i would get it but be aware this process takes time, lots of it but things may have changed mine helped as it had first been registered in the uk
  5. this i was still looking at the runners and riders when the wife had gone to bed at quarter to midnight last night this job is 18 hours physical or mental seen a lot go mental doing it (seriously)
  6. i think you've nailed it because a cloned car and log book would check out clear when all the numbers were questioned the clever ast ds

    1. Tom

      Tom

:D what was your previous forum name?

  8. if it was a general cluster fault would the horn work? as he had problems with little bighorn of course to me it sounds more like a wrong bulb fitted in brake light system or faulty brake switch just sayin......
  9. i take it you are the leaseholder? trying to reasign be sure to asign any lease to a named individual rather than a ltd if their track record isnt bullet proof seen so many times lately where limited liabilities have cause long term landlord problems
  10. hardest parts is not buying legins this comes from experience so buy your stock carefully a small profit is better than no profit good luck
  11. sold a car to a neighbour 4 years ago, wont ever do that again
  12. highly unlikely you will get a swat team of trading standards bogeymen lanyards floating in the wind ,pencils sharpened ,if you haven't had a complaint from a customer as they dont have the funds ive reported before they usually go to where complaints have been received seen it wit me own eyes however they might have had their lunch and seeing as they are in the neighbourhood might just decide to kick some of your tyres remember they can just as easily these days go to a doorstopper as a pitch on the main road to summarise as lawjaw says only offer cars fully compliant with the law or describe as not fit for the road must be trailered,no ifs no buts, these guys who visit often come incognito
  13. to most on here that advice would be like telling them to stick some dilithium crystals in the fuel tank
  14. please dont use this device to do your online bidding otherwise you are going to own the auction but go to jail trying to pay for it
  15. this sounds a recipe to disaster if you have say 4 cars with a lot of your money in them and they dont sell you end up renting very expensive parking bays i would keep to what i knew sold for you and maybe go further afield to fill the demand for your new unit trader down the road from me thinks nothing of spending all day travelling to scotland as an example just to collect one car because he knows it has profit written on the windscreen most important thing is DO NOT fill your unit if you get it with stock because you feel you have to,you dont its your business not anyone else's always remember this because every tom at the block will give you regretful advice
  16. had to let the last wife go she had too much baggage just sayin..............
  17. excellent input Law Jaw you give your time and free legal help on this forum for everyone to see ,thank you
  18. depends what you are selling if specialising then location isnt as important because choice makes people travel especially if what you specialise in is something that few do location for everything else is and always was important irrespective that everyone has sat navs these days, many still do their homework if travelling far also remember that security is an important issue as just one random attack could put you out of business the police arent interested these days so you have to make sure you are happy with the surroundings just like your customers would need to feel comfortable parking up to visit you
  19. ah right you work from home even more the case you buy stock more diligently then remember it was cheaper because no paperwork,i often nick cars because of this but i know i need to park them up off road for weeks,i even post the application off immediately im happy to be the new keeper of the car, customers understand if explained to reasons its in the company name
  20. my weekend car has cruise i wouldnt live without it your customer is telling you the same was it advertised anywhere as having cruise control? was it asked during pre sales agreement frankly if its got the controls on the wheel im sure you would try it on your pdi or on the way to the test station,if it didnt work then the sales invoice at the bottom notes to customer cruise doesnt work why create problems/ refund move on or they will probably lba you ,i would dont care if its 8 years old sorry your a motor trader not someone tatting from home flying by your undies not true this though is it unless brought to customers attention you would need to advise customer of this fault or presumption comes in remember your the knowledgeable one here
  21. this is illegal unless you state in your wordings the car is spares only and destroy any documentation like service last week or mot certificate if its driven away you will still be liable if it causes an accident/gets stopped in a roadside inspection if its scrap ,scrap it, or send it to the auction where the venders have legal teams doing caveat umpar or send it to copart but bash a wing in and declare as accident but not recorded
  22. For what its worth i once did a round trip of 150 miles to knock on someones door and the abuse i got was unbelievable with the woman hissing flames at me,this was before gdpr which means its now an offence to go chasing last owners but you know that already.............. you should bid accordingly and be aware a wait of 4 weeks is the norm,i waited nearly 9 earlier this year because dvla lost my application so i had to reapply
  23. its open season june/july/august just imagine a picture of them sat inn the garden man legs open on the laptop drinking their watney red barel or pink gin and their wife has given them half an hour freedom before they become henpecked again
