  1. I wonder if they provide pensions for their employees?
  2. Pensions are mostly on my mind at the moment?

  3. Panic over, stop looking everyone!
  4. In the old days they used to have a large sale including cars and landrovers etc. Blackbushe isn't one of my haunts any more. They used to show up on the catalogue. Maybe MOD are selling direct now or leasing/hiring?
  5. Quick question for any BCA blackbushe regulars. Do they still have the ex mod sales? I can't find any clues on the website.
  6. "Don't sell until you are ready to". This may sound like an over simplification, but always holds true. I find that the time to sort out a missing v5 is when I buy it. .....just my opinion
  7. Spot on! Getting bangers MOT'd is a nightmare these days, once the tester knows you're trade he'll slaughter you with "advisories" on everything.
  8. Agree with the above. I am always being asked to keep an eye out for a 1.8 whatever but only in blue/black/red and with less than 20k and 1 owner and full history, and has to be cheap. I just nod and say yeah sure and do nothing.
  9. Although if he has the time to drive around all day looking at mis-described sheds he could always do a bit of 'mini cabbing'
  10. Apparently publicans drive 25yr old 4x4s (Eastenders)
  11. Don't feel too bad, Manheim simulcast looks like its being filmed on someones phone in 640x480?
  12. I'm in the middle of the pension nightmare right now. Because I'm now over 55 I have magically become a pensions actuary and I'm better qualified to invest my pot than they are?
  13. I'm sure the last one I did was under 2 weeks. I can't remember the last time I had to wait anywhere near 6 weeks. I'm guessing that's a worse case scenario? I'm guessing that DVLA must send a letter to previous owner, but instead of replying by post encourage them to reply via website to speed up the process, who knows?
  14. Getting your own back, I like it!
  15. I suppose there are just as many guys that hunt down "hand picked specially selected beautiful low mileage" Jags as well as there are guys that hunt down "hand picked specially selected beautiful low mileage German performance saloons"?
  16. It's nothing to do with the money, these sorts of buyers exist in 'all' price ranges. Especially if you sell anything under £2.5k you can expect to deal with them. I understand a lot of guys on this forum only sell hand picked beautiful 5-8yr old German performance saloons, but your time will come
  17. I agree, we used to do a few police cars in the late 90s. The CID/unmarked/top brass cars were spot on and fullly specced, even came with service history if you were lucky and sensible miles. White cars were sheds with only the saving grace that white paint was cheap! But, the vans/commercials are good and have potential even now.
  18. Sadly Andy is correct. We are perceived by the public as lying crooks and I can't see that perception of us ever changing. Let's be honest, where is a car dealer 'ever' depicted as straight honest and truthful other than this forum?
  19. He's not very 'fast & furious' and like most young guys he has insurance issues I think Grande Punto is what he's after
  20. I had a family member sounding me out about getting him a car. Has to be less that 50k, no more than 2 owners, black red or silver, full history, 2008/2009. Other than that he doesnt care? I suspect sadly the search will take too long!
  21. I've noticed a guy on FB that takes pics of cars at Manheim Colchester before he's even driven them out, screen stickers still on?
