  1. If Fleabay can do a feedback system then so can DA!
  2. Rule No 1 If you are buying a Ford off a Ford dealer, or a Vauxhall off a Vauxhall dealer etc and it would normally be a good piece of retail stock then avoid! They have found a problem and are bailing out!
  3. Register with http://twittercardealers.ning.com/ for comments on other solutions.
  4. We avoid. If your T&C's are not correct then the customer is entitled to a 90 day refund instead of 7 days! The same if you don't follow all the procedures!
  5. If you have a franchise then you submit monthly accounts to ASE Global. This is where the information comes from.
  6. But he probably doesn't want it back. Leads to more complications. What if he then disputes the mechanical condition of the "returned trade in"? If the pistons are faulty then maybe the customer is not so neurotic! Not a nice situation to be in.
  7. It seems that anybody can post to this forum. The fact that is can be read by anybody also makes me cautious about what I post!
  8. Anybody seen any customers today, or had the phone ring?
  9. It's going to be an interesting night!
  10. Would I vote in to join? No We are in though, and I agree, that the mess that we will be in to extract ourselves if the vote is out could be huge.
  11. What about punter who turn up and want a trade in valuation for their vehicle which is still at home!
  12. It's confusing that the Sale of Goods Act 1979 still applies in certain circumstances, and that it can apply to Trade sales.
  13. Lots of people are advertising barn finds on ebay. If you advertise something for spares or repair, what is the situation then? Max, you have been open and honest. I agree with Jack. Talk to trading standards
  14. Had heard about the BCA switch. Heard that Lloyds want out all together. Maybe their is truth in the last paragraph about a possible deal with Paragon.
  15. Umesh. You are probably better off using a crystal ball as a guide. One of our salesmen keeps one on his desk!
  16. Today's trading statement! Auto Trader is projecting 11.5% annual growth as its efforts to drive average revenue per retailer and generate revenue from consumer services both exceed expectations. It's all about how much they can screw out of you!
  17. We received a simple innocuous email today from someone using a gmail account asking us for a best price for an item with an embedded link to an ebay item, a bit like 1 of us posting a link on this forum. We have nothing advertised with ebay at the moment, and hovering over the link revealed it was false. Easy to be fooled though. I am though getting very fed up with all the phishing emails, "Your invoice/order/statement is attached" trying to fool you into downloading the ransom software. Royal Mail may make a comeback yet.
  18. It's an American Company called FleetCor. They own Allstar and Key Fuels brands.
  19. Allstar introduced a £3 transaction fee a couple of years ago. I have known of lots of companies thinking that retailers were rip offs because they thought they were paying a lot less than the pump price. The number that couldn't understand that they had to add VAT to their price frightened me!
