Warranty Companies " Who do you choose " total loss of faith
Cornish Guy replied to Mislead's topic in General Dealer Chat
Make a complaint to the ASA. All warranty companies are the same! -
If you have both a VW group diesel and a Zafira then you are ok. The one starves the other of oxygen!

Are you still selling 2.0tdi cars from VW group?
Cornish Guy replied to j4ck100's topic in General Dealer Chat
Everybody is missing the point. The Germans have now got to find another way to bail out the Greek economy! -

I think the bigger problem will be the reluctance to have them "corrected" by the dealerships. Possible loss of performance and reduced fuel economy after the visit to the dealership! -
Sale of Goods Act 2015...Changes who's heard the news?
Cornish Guy replied to Trident's topic in General Dealer Chat
A problem with selling a used Megane is that one of the rear windows is likely to fail. When ever we see one as a possible part ex it usually has at least 1 failed! -

I feel the bigger issue is after 30 days. The customer has a right to reject if a second fault occurs after you have repaired a first fault. This could be 4 months after the sale. -
Turbo's fail through lack of lubrication or ingesting bits of engine.

Ah! 30% Biodiesel blend. Not necessarily a cheaper option. Not something that I would want to use.

No such thing as cheap truckers diesel.
-
Shrinks even more when you factor in a warranty cost. Of course then you are able to thrown in mats, road fund and a free tank of fuel.

How long on average does each car take you to sell?
Cornish Guy replied to j4ck100's topic in General Dealer Chat
Days to sell This article seems to indicate that the market is not very buoyant at the moment. -

What really goes on inside a car buyer's head
Cornish Guy replied to James Baggott's topic in General Dealer Chat
James. One glaring error. You took the Corsa with you. "How much will you give me for my trade-in?" "Where is it?" "At home!" "Would you buy my car without seeing it?" "No!" "But you expect me to buy yours without seeing it!" -
Closing down my business, sad day
Cornish Guy replied to Wheelerdealer1's topic in General Dealer Chat
Everybody wants it cheap. Get a plumber in and it's "how much for cash". -
Customer buys a car off you and pays buy debit card. Asks you to deliver the car. Money has all cleared. Just drop the car off and put the keys through the letter box. 90 days later the customer phones you and says he wants his money back. If your T&C's don't cater for long distance selling you are stuffed! We don't even take payment over the phone for parts. Customer wants a part ordered he has to come in and see us!

I was thinking about BT TV on my standard broadband line. I object to the £35 fee for them to make sure that they have set up my broadband correctly! Stuff them. On the topic of fees. I reckon 1Link must be near the top for knowing how to charge fees! Booking fees, chase fees etc and they are constantly pestering you in the hope that you miss the response deadlines so that they can rack up the bill.
