  1. WW still messing me about, eventually agreed to 1/2 cost of what the specialist ( estimate is )so, now 5 days later, Ecu now been sent to Ecu testing,by us, based in Derby, They WW don't give to hoots about time frame for customer without car. absolutely F s**t customer / dealer service... take it or leave it attitude... they now go f, themselves........ AFTER THIS..
  2. We roughly sell appox 100 cars a year, so a very small, therefore i like the ideal of a 3rd Party warranty provider, takes away some of the pressure, as you've introduced a external company ( Until you a case like this ) We've been selling cars between £2-20k max, I'm thinking about just selling cars up to £5k, they seem to be moving quicker, and only buy cars you can fix easy !( if that exists)
  3. Thank you for all those quick responses... I've emailed WW last night..see what they come up with....If i continue to use them, l'll just do the last service, as mentioned. Other thing, they have this Single claim limit £XXXX ( Ave 3-5K) claim rate, so the customer automatically there covered regardless of the fault.... one other thing to mention, when my customer dropped the car off, he gave me his Warranty welcome pack / letter.. Paragraph 1, Welcome to warranty wise to the customer.. Paragraph 2 , Mileage.. its important that you provide us actual mileage / please check and advise ( Ive no issue with that as do look at actual mileage) Paragraph 3, Your Supplying Dealer has provided you with our GOLD policy, with single claim limit of £3000 ( in this case ) and a garage labour of £x inc vat... BUT THEN STATES AFTER THAT... PLEASE NOTE: as this is a dealer supplied warranty, the level of cover may not be the same as indicated on our retail website.!! Then they go on to say, Upgrade to a higher level, or extend warranty..... i always offer the highest level of cover available for the car i list, with ave £50/£75 hourly labour rate.. I know there a Service and maintenance warranty provider, and self funded, why do they mention its a dealer supplied warranty?? Any Thoughts
  4. As a small independent dealer, who only buy cars with low ownership / mostly of them low mileage with Full Service History ( Pref by the the Franchise dealer ) We have been using Warrantywise now for over 3.5 years ( Rep over the phone ) we like the ease of issuing the warranty live in front of customer, we do profit or up sell policies. We promote Warrantyise who's mission statement by Quenlin Wilson"" no quibble, best used car warranty provider "" etc.. We have very low claim rate ( Green light as they call it ) However recently we had 3 Abs related problems, 2 on Minis and one on a Micra. The 1st Mini was bought buy a solicistor, who had a AA inspection prior to buying it, that problem was fully resolved ! The next car a Micra, l bought from a friend, they never had a problem, just 22000 miles with full nissan history, sold it to the local takeaway shop, as guess what, it went wrong ! ( i guess i shouldn't sell to people you know )...WW wouldnt payout out, as said the repairing garage didn't follow instructions, however i had to cover the cost to save face. The last issue, was today, i bought for my daughter a Mini One a few months back with full Mini Service history, an over age stock from a Mini main dealer car, it was prepared to main dealer standards etc.. My daughter has gone to Uni, and hasn't learnt to drive, so i decided to sell it, it had been standing a for a few months. I sold it with full confidence, bang bang bang history, the young man had it a month, and then received a call on friday from his father, an unpleasant man.. He dropped the car off Sunday night a 6pm ( suppose to be here at 12 ) It had christmas tree lights on.... never seen anything like it to be honest, radio on/off / steering wheel hard to turn / every light possible. Not for the normal garage i use.. so booked in to a specialist.. Receive a call a few hours later from them to say its the DSA Control Unit... i provide the repairers with my customers details.who then contact warranty wise A few hours after, they respond after receiving by e mail its full Mini service history from the dealership i bought it from, to say its missed a brake fluid change in 2013. I said regardless of whether done / not, his is a electronic failure part..nothing to do with brake fluid... Im now hitting a brick wall, they semi agree a offering, under half of the cost, however won't pay for a mini part, but suggest a named provider... i rang them this evening, to me told they only re con, gave them OE part no, then told we don't recon these.. After receiving some gesture of goodwill, if a part cant be found cheaper elsewhere... are they likely to pay for a main dealer part... so mentioned we don't get many complaints / issues.. Going forward, who do you use....
