BCA/Manheim physical auctions: the return?
Tony911 replied to metcars's topic in General Dealer Chat
We was down at bca brighouse last week and the lads there told us cafe owners have packed up after so many years and bca are selling off all the kitchen equipment so I can't see that place opening back up. Its a shame because I'm sure most will agree the buzz off being at a live auction is addictive and a good laugh -
Problem with showing a prospective buyer the V5.

That's definitely a new 1. Will keep that in mind next time anybody asks. -

This is exactly why we don't buy nothing from ukcgr section even if we require a shitter to run around in to the tip we wouldn't bother
-
Funny thing is that he will end up selling it to we buy any car for about £1200 will end up in ukcgr section some poor trader will buy £1500 all out and be screwed over. Then a thread about a car bought at the block which is knackered

Thanks David

Help needed on this usually never tax a car in trade but need to tax 1 and its only £10 for year will pay it in full, but only need to use car for a few days. What would need to be done after use of the car? Not bothered about any refund as its cheap. Do we keep it taxed then when selling to a punter do we re tax it in their name with new keeper section as thats what we will be using or cancel the tax we put on? Thanks in advance

If you have only recently started, it may be a good idea for you to try it out as it might work for you and if not its a learning curve. You will never know unless you try it. Good luck Personally I wouldn't recommend

Ebay Motors Group new platform
Tony911 replied to Beautiful South Martin's topic in General Dealer Chat
Right there been trying them out last 6 months and the figures are rubbish. I believe Facebook market place gets more sales but yet again auto trader is the place to be and yes they do charge a lot but it works -
Why not? Its all about the intranet these last 10 years and now with the likes or carzoo or what ever the heck they are called, people don't even need to travel and I'm sure we have all had customer's cars delivered around the country without even viewing it.

Hi, good luck with your new venture. I have a pal and I kid you not he sells stock up to 100k from his house his minimum stock profile is 15k and he lives in a terrace house with a drive he parks his cars. I have always wondered how he does it from home every time I go past his house he has always got his front garden filled with top end German toys from new s3 golf rs rs3 rs4 rs5 rs6 porsche 911 range rovers svr, he recently had a mk2 supra twin turbo low mileage which he sold for 40k and last year he even had a ferrari that he sold 150k. So there's your answer

Tony911 replied to David Horgan's topic in General Dealer Chat
David is on a role, all the best for the weekend as we are expecting a busy 1 -
Lol. We will take our chances. Interesting topic though because if it did come down to dealers charging for fuel im sure it wouldn't be long before the auction houses jumped on the band wagon and started charging for the fuel in the car. Wonder what op thinks about that

Difference is ours is a mercedes and not a citroen
-
We have a car in stock which came with a full tank of petrol in it and I can assure you the customer will not get a penny off as its a cracking car with good history full mot and bonus its got a full tank. Can't ever imagine us saying oh its an extra £50 for the fuel in it

made my day with this, good 1

Never have issues with them to be honest, might be that you have advertised it to low and are attracting the wrong customers, maybe you need to put the price up

So after a bit of messing about with the car today have discovered that the gear is actually working and not broken, we put power directly to the motor and the roof opens and closes but soon as you plug it back into the light panel it just seems to make a clicking noise checked all 3 fuse boxes and all fine. Would it be a case of new light panel as it's faulty or a bad relay some where? Thanks for the input everybody much appreciated

Thanks guys for advice will try some grease from dealers if not auto electrician it is
-
Hi guys hope you are all well and safe. Quick 1 here bought a mercedes e320 2007 with panoramic roof now before we send it off to our auto electrician is there a easy fix? Have tried the reset and pulling fuse 9 with no joy. The blind and roof won't hope just a clicking noise when pressing the button, is it a case of a new motor or is there something else to look out for? Thanks in advance

BCA - UNDECLARED FAULTS IN CURRENT AUCTION SYSTEM
Tony911 replied to Handjamjack's topic in General Dealer Chat
Just live and learn from it im sure you wont buy from multi vendor again. Experienced traders wouldn't touch this vendor but hope people like you with not much experience im guessing pay top dollar for they're heap of junk they have put back in to the block in the multi vendor section. -
2016 Focus dead stuck in my drive entrance
Tony911 replied to Dave2302's topic in General Dealer Chat
Had a similar problem with a vw golf only few lights would come on and everything else was dead. Had a mobile electrician out and it turned out to be a bad relay which was £10. Could be worth looking at as the symptoms sound about the same just a different car -
