Legal action against AT price indicators
Tony911 replied to beckly car sales's topic in General Dealer Chat
This won't work seriously. If you are not shifting enough stock then maybe it's time to adapt like Ad said and see where it takes you. -
Not a chance would send them on their way and not entertain customers like that

Hi guys, I know topic has been brought up in the past but can't remember much about it. Anyway aa breakdown is up for renewal so I rang today to enquire about trade plates because I know they won't entertain you if the car is not taxed motd and insured and she has advised me that trade plates are not covered says it in terms and conditions. In the past drivers have never questioned but now they have become a bit more strict. Anybody recommend a breakdown service which accept trade plates? Thanks in advance

Well said David you can have as much money as you want but without good health it ain't worth nothing. I'm a bit confused here if he was earning that amount of money why would he have another job? Maths don't add up here, anyway good look with the full time car selling buisness

It's the 2nd time in 2019 and thanks to advice off this forum we now save all images of vehicles. Bus lane pictures show the car is silver and ours is black so hopefully that will be the end of it.

I'm getting some made next week when our parts shop reopens and will be using rubber suction cups. Never been a fan but since somebody has decided to clone one of our number plates and drive it around London and we have been hit with 2 hit and run inquiries from met police and our insurers also 2 bus lane fines and 1 congestion charge penalty I think it will be a good idea to start covering the plates from now on

Something doesn't add up here as why on earth have you offered him £2000 less then he paid 2 years ago and 60k later. There must be some more details here that you haven't told us about or you are just very generous!- 73 replies

Brilliant now I'm confused.com Anyway this matter got dealt with last week and our insurers have voided the claim and will not entertain it we had the customers phone number saved and 1 call to him and he was very helpful and still has the car no issues what so ever. He sent some pictures of the original autotrader advert which he had screenshotted and sent to his partner. They was still showing on his messenger he forwarded it on to us and we passed them on to our insurers and explaining they are 2 different cars and number plates must have been cloned, they agreed and have voided the claim. Thanks every one for the advice and another lesson learned from this forum. WE NOW KEEP ALL IMAGES OF CARS ON OUR PC FOR ANY FUTURE ISSUES

The only way to find out is too just do it, this way you will understand what everybody on this forum are trying to explain to you. It might take a month or a couple of years for you to figure it out but to be honest been doing this job for over 10 years now and can honestly say you will learn something new all the time. You might think it's a bit harsh but to be fair the advice you have been given is the best free advice you will ever get. Let us know how you get on with your first sale

If you have the right car they will travel anywhere

You have got to ask yourself is it worth the head ache? Problem having occurred very early after purchase and him not been supplied with a courtesy car to use if he depends on it for work will all work in their favor
