  1. Take it to another mot centre? If it’s max weight inc payload is 3 ton it’s class 4. If it’s 3-3.5 ton it’s a class 7.
  2. Take note Steve, this outfit look like they play well. Check out their accounts. However i don't think it will have came easily for them.
  3. The auctions are very tight, their fees are more than we NET per car TBH. Crystal ball required for that one , I think nowadays you have to be a very good player to achieve that. If I was a little older and looking for a challenge/money making exercise, Id be trying to repatriate some desirable classics from abroad. Never mind the modern shite, i'm talking of the 80-90s shite that now fetches mega money.
  4. Hi Steve I regularly get flamed for being harsh on newbies. So I'm not going to be harsh this time. The hardest part of the job is going to be sourcing good stock, do you have any plans or contacts for this?
  5. I'm not sure of it either, but not for hire or reward is a different ball game i think?
  6. I'm watching Good Morning Britain this morning and there is a debate about "firemen" and fireman Sam and how its not fair on Women!
  7. ^^^^ LIKE WOW... Sounds like yo have a right cracker-jack there. So, its now your responsibility to go and collect the car and inspect it before anything else is said. Also whilst you have her car, offer her a bit less than she paid for it and sell it to someone else.
  8. That might be a 5 ton Sprinter? I cant see how many wheels it has at the back. That's the same body as ours, i cant recommend AMS truck bodies enough. Very good job they turn out, and fast too. BTW ... The Aventador only weights 1575kg (DRY)
  9. Hi Umesh We have an array of diagnostic equipment and we still fall short sometimes in good data and information from the bloody things. I can vouch for Launch, we have an old GDS that is still going strong and is our "go to" over and above the KTS. I have a friend that has the latest launch and he says its very good too. However it depends upon what you do the most of, if there are other bits that can be run off a laptop and are amazing for little money. Vag - Com Forscan Op-Com Id not put all of my eggs in the one basket, as there isn't one tool that does it all. Do you sell more of one make? Or struggle with one particular make?
  10. Don't surrender so easily. And don't listen to them. Its not about faulty, remember a faulty car is not an reason to reject, its all about the goods being of satisfactory quality. If it had broken down, then yes this would render the car unusable, however a bonnet not opening is not going to stop it from being used. It probably only wants some adjustment/grease/lubricant. However be-careful how you go about this, some ladies take offence if you try to lift their bonnet with lubricant in your hands
  11. How many cars was that for? We have a crafter that we got converted, it’s fuel economy is poor (£120 gets you 450 miles). Add in the additional cost of insurance plus labour cost to drive it you might find that movex isn’t that expensive. I find it cheaper for me to have ours rather than employing a additional driver, it’s never phoned (texted nowadays) in sick, never had to go home cos the dog feels poorly, never came in pissed..... the list goes on!
  12. Don't unplug a modern diesel engine with Piezo Injectors in...... Otherwise if you didnt want to put an injector in it.... chances are you wont want to put an engine in it either
  13. On the basis it’s not one I have up for sale.... don’t buy it it will be nowt but bother
  14. Are you going to get a diagnostic check carried out first?
  15. Looks the same as a product we use from Astral called soft sheen.
  16. Definitely, id be trying to get the dealer onside with a little brown envelope perhaps?
  17. It’s a long way back dave’s... i kind of agree. Do you have a regular garage you can trust to do it? If not, has the customer? There will be a good garage local to him that just needs finding. Call his local Mitsubishi parts dept and see if they can recommend a local “specialist”? That good garage scheme is not really to be relied upon Arfur. Our local “good garages” bring all of their headaches our way or pie them off elsewhere.
  18. Excellent. We have one in next week... Well a Kia Ceed with a CRDI engine. We will try this too.
  19. Could be injector seals, but on the PD engine they lie inside rocker cover and the fumes should go back into the inlet manifold.... Could have a split breather? Injector seals on a PD engine give running faults too.
