+1 for those that know they are a cut above the rest of us. Here! Here!
-
I didn’t realise there were reviews - FFS, there’s a review for everything nowadays!
-
She probably has the larger model.
-
Surely rather like the review you left a third party? As the old saying goes ‘Live by the sword, die by the sword’.
-
I wouldn’t trust Movex to move my bin on collection day.
-
Easy. Don’t read your reviews then you won’t get upset.
-
Dear me! Yet more squabbling.

You are supposed to wait four weeks before applying for a new V5C on V62. I (incorrectly) backdate my ownership date four weeks to set the ball rolling immediately. The DVLA write to the former keeper on their records. If the former keeper doesn’t respond the DVLA will issue you a new V5C after six weeks. If the former keeper responds positively & promptly (i.e. before the six week ‘window’) then the DVLA will issue the new V5C as soon as they receive confirmation. If the former keeper is a twat & is prepared to fork out the price of a postage stamp and tells the DVLA they are still the owner it can take about 3 months - I’ve never had it myself but I know someone who had this years ago. So basically if you’re doing it correctly the 6 weeks starts after the first 4 weeks! For fear of stating the bleedin’ obvious, if it’s ‘In Trade’ this isn’t a problem as you can tax it straight away & complete the V62 in front of the customer.

What made you come to that conclusion?
-
Do they f***, tbh I think half of them don’t even look at the cars judging by the shit they write and by what they miss.
-
Why should they? Have you ever thought they possibly find someone pitifully begging for a 5 star review a cheeky cunt so don’t bother. That’s my attitude to the many follow up emails that nowadays seem to becoming the norm. FFS, I bought a £2 item from The Range & was given a ‘pamphlet’ to write a review and even scrapyards on eBay are asking for comments on Trustpilot or whatever

Porsche Cayenne 3.0 TD SUV 5dr Diesel Tiptronic S AWD (173 g/km, 262 bhp)

Last price my friend -
....just like Thomas Cook......and a number of high street stores.

Too right. Mind you, when selling even the peasant buyers of cars at scrap money expect the earth.
-
The assessments are only as good as the assessors & even the best assessor will make mistakes. Yesterday I sat in one with a missing EML that wasn’t noted. Tbh my biggest problem is being forced to take this Mickey Mouse policy in the first place.

What’s the point of responding?

I’ve visited 5 different auctions this week & it’s clear to me auctions lots are in reduced numbers. At the lower end of the market just about everything has been traded in for a reason - not that that stops some from buying half-knackered cars & wiping a few hundred quid across them for the Facebook market. It seems to me this week that just about every diesel I sat in requires £700 worth of clutch & flywheel rendering them uneconomical to repair at book money.
-
Definitely but overall they’ll do fine - I guess they do the sums at each auction & as long as that day’s lots overall end up in the positive column then everything gets sold (or am I oversimplifying?). The good thing about Arnold Clark entries at the block is it doesn’t matter which auction you’re at they are there to sell - most provisional bids are taken & usually an instant decision. No fucking about begging for another £50 unlike some vendors.

“The clocks are out Sir, how many miles would you like?”
-
Snap-Ons are poor on a number of things - especially Volvos. Half of the time your better of with a £150 ebay special (as ‘my’ gearbox man found out last week when his snap on couldn’t even reset the 4x4 warning on a 10yr old XC90).
-
Try selling a £120 tax 2008 Corsa diesel rather than a £30 model. Fuck me sideways, it was welded to its parking spot for nearly nine months & the man who bought it only did so accidentally because he thought it was £30!! The first question EVERY email asked was “£30 or £120 road tax?”. Absolute fucking horrible greedy vermin - never again!

I’m intrigued. How on earth can you blow £3000 on a Zafira without burning it out?

On Court Day......... what happenes
BHM replied to Blenheim Car Sales's topic in General Dealer Chat
In a few days you’ll receive Form N24 confirming judgement with the payment due date (which will be 14 days from the date of the court hearing). After that the claimant is free to instigate whatever legal action they want and it will subsequently be added to your bill. If they have any sense they’ll take the High Court route & send in enforcers unannounced- it’ll take months but you’ll end up being raped. A genuine piece of advice - instead of making a twat of yourself dragging it out, pay it & put it all behind you. -
It’s either been parked up for years, abroad or an ex-police undercover car - they buy all sorts of ‘oddballs’ that Billy the drug dealer wouldn’t think is a police car.
