  1. It just goes to show what I’ve always said about reviews. Absolute bullshit. I sold a car yesterday. The buyer commented on my good reviews. The strangest thing is I haven't a clue what he was going on about. There’s no fucker left me any good reviews that I’m aware of.
  2. Have you ever known a brand new clutch/DMF defective? When I had one that I suspected was defective I was told by a couple of garages they’ve never seen one & a few members of this forum said the same & suggested it was something else. 400 miles later the gearbox ate itself.
  3. EGS/EGC gearboxes - is it possible to ever get one of these pieces of shit to 100,000 miles without knacking up? Good luck Blenheim, after experiencing two of these, & countless punters trying to offload them, they’re also on my AVOID list unless they’re scrap money.
  4. You’re correct & they have been. The trouble is their incentives can only be something like £50 off indemnity (or similar), cheap deliver or a canteen voucher so isn’t really enough to get me to go to an auction with a pisspoor selection of cars.
  5. More like his hand slipped past the knot whilst typing his drivel.
  6. I must have spoken to about 10 traders this week. Every single one has said it’s desperate. Just ignore the arsehole offers, they never come to anything & just suck the life out of you if you let them. It’s so dead the auction halls are all half-empty of bidders - I’ve been to five different sites in the last fortnight & they were all the same. After wading through the battered shite there are a few nice cheapish cars if you’ve got money to spend. Retailing is currently knackered just about everywhere. I see yet another major high street operator (Arcadia Group) are closing more stores than anticipated. It’s the start of the slippery slope - I assume they’ll be history in another couple of years. I struggle to believe anything above 5K is an automatic seller and also that anyone’s ‘having it off’ at the moment.
  7. Sometimes the passenger seat does but the driver’s doesn’t.
  8. You must see a different page to me. Are you looking on youjizz?
  9. The only thing AJ has rolled is the five fingered widow along his shaft as he typed his initial post.
  10. I wouldn’t want either. One is peasant motoring, Korean style, & the other attracts greedy peasantry wanting what they consider to be a bit of flash. I’d take a pair of Focus estates over these two horrors any day of the week.
  11. Yep, cos they never take responsibility for their own actions. Tbh it’s best not to read the reviews anyway
  12. What a load of fucking bollocks.
  13. That is true but there’s also a gulf of difference between a straight trade buyer & certain other traders who are Champagne taste, lemonade money.
  14. MPG quotes are avoided here. Anyone asking by email get a VERY vague answer.
  15. You’re a hard man. I’ve got £100 for it if it gets here under its own steam.
  16. Because half of the trade are fussy bastards & are just as bad as private punters.
  17. Half of my cars are a ‘U’, it depends how fussy you/your punters are. Tbh I’ve seen Us that look better than 3s - there’s nowt like doing your own appraisals.
  18. This shouldn’t be difficult to understand.
  19. Yes it can, easily. Too much to waste time listing.
  20. It sometimes works depending upon the type of stock it is.
  21. .....and that’s before you factor in stock you buy then find it’s knackered. That soon sorts the wheat from the chaff, once they’ve had a £1000+ blow that’s when 90% of newbies pack up. When they get to 5 or 6 months I’m desperate to see the back of them & carve the arse off the price. I always seem to have a few longtermers, my fault for buying them cos they’re always something miley or shit spec. so only my own fault for trying to supply cars to the greedy.
  22. Wrong car/too expensive. I wouldn’t want it advertised at £2495, never mind that price. Tbh I’d rather have 100/120K miles on it & £1695 it. I can assure you the average Citroen man doesn’t want to pay £3200ish for a 10yr old French car, and tbh neither would I. Their day was a few years ago, Berlingoes/Partners have kicked them into the long grass. I’m sure some will come along & disagree but that’s my two penneth worth. PS I wouldn’t start sweating after 9 days, it’s not unusual to carry cars for 2-3 months.
  23. He must think there’s a thriving market for a wanked-out bottom of the range hatchback with 140K on its back & a fortnight’s MOT.
