  1. I had a caution last time but in bold letters said they would not let me off again.
  2. Bread and butter isnt flying of the shelf either as the first time buyers are scared of losing there jobs one told me this morning, that plonker Osborn talking of tax rises isnt what i would call calming the waters either, i would call it smug throwing fuel on the fire.
  3. first gut feeling is lets let the storm cloud settle and go from there, however i feel George Osborn should be booted out on his backside for the scare tactics he employed last week which i feel put the nail in the coffin for his side
  4. so much spin around i am still 50/50
  5. auction4cars.com havent used them for a while but they where decent enough when we used to
  6. I had three test drives today two of the customers went back to planet mars and the third bought a car so cant complain
  7. What a cracking job i would leave to go do that as well. all the best
  8. Firstly I would say the industry is very mixed some dealers are doing well some are not, ourselves this month has been the worst month on month for several years so might be just bad timing. Have you viewed your car prices against what is available in your area are your prices keen? also I would have though the high value cars certainly in my area the big dealers are throwing very good finance deals at people so we tend to stick to the sub 4k bracket which people pay on card or cash ect but as in life what works for us wont work for everyone. There are to many factors for anyone to give you a definite answer sadly, I would look at the basics such as pricing and where you advertise them first. But do feel your pain hope it gets better for you soon.
  9. its so quiet down here i rang the phone lines to see if they where working, cant fit any more stock in and not a customer in sight, the joys
  10. i remember the good old days scraping cars was not bad news £100-150 now you be lucky to get £20 soz i know thats not much help
  11. local gumtree we use for this kind of thing, whilst its owned by ebay it appears to attract the local price hunter in our area anyway
  12. I had one on facebook last week do the same thing, sign of the electronic times we all now live in sadly
  13. Like the Sale of Goods Act that preceded it, the Consumer Rights Actstates 01 oct 2015 that products must be: of satisfactory quality fit for purpose, and as described my understanding is that even if you ask someone to sign a disclaimer you are unable to remove there rights under the above act, therefore even if they sign what ever you ask it can not be enforced by you. similar rules apply to sold as seen no warranty ect comments on invoices
  14. I presume he is throwing the car is not fit for purpose at you, had that last year its a right pain in the backside
  15. What a nightmare, I would call his bluff trading standards are stretched to almost braking so cant seem them getting overly involved in this, as regards him contacting a solicitor that’s the oldest line in the book and with all the recent changes to the small claims courts ect it will costs him to pursue it with only the costs of repairs at the end of it even if he did win.
  16. Do you not have any local auctions ? we are quite lucky here as we have a very good auction house and local to me within 15miles good range of stock and fees are no where near the big houses
  17. Dont they think that once this gets out to all the dealers over the country it will hit there on line sales as you no longer have any faith in there "assured quality " ? brave move
  18. I had a guy drive 2 hours to see a little arosa this morning, one owner car with 28k car has been garaged all its life when i say its spotless it is 100% out of the box spotless, anyway its £1750 the guy drives 2 hours and then going over it for another hour plus he says he is going to see another one tomorrow which is £1700 done tripple the miles and in faded yellow mine is jet black and says thanks for showing it to me and heads off !!
  19. maybe instead of not naming names we should name names maybe that way someone might suggest a decent company to deal with, Just one thought, how would you keep the car on sale until all monies received ? wouldnt you end up with some serious angry customers if you start selling cars from underneath people or are you still venting and didnt mean that
  20. Shocking, I remember Ebay employing some similar big brother tactics when they allowed the buyer the right to leave negative feedback but not the seller that was the end of my partners on line business. Guess the only way AT would ever take notice if there customers started voting with there feet and went elsewhere.
  21. one yesterday which i have had hanging around for ages so was over the moon with that start
  22. I do take your point on board the background is a tad busy, however for that vehicle i was aiming at a particular client which is the local student base in the Swansea marina, and it worked a treat a young lady from china bought the car from the block opposite where the picture was taken, i was just using the picture to show you dont need the expense of someone taking pictures as long as the car is prepped well it will work. this is more the normal kind of picture we would use.
  23. I have seen this also, i just reply your more than welcome to pop down and make us an offer, 7 times out of 10 they dont bother, the price starvers i can do without anyway so no loss from what i have seen of them there the worst possible customer to have.
