Hi, Welcome Just my 2p worth, if I were you especially considering the volume you intend to do I would avoid Auctions like the plague. From what I read on here there is little NET profit to be had from purchasing what usually turns out to be a low spec overpriced car with problems, otherwise it would be retailed in the first instance !! Better to find honest privates selling something they have been quoted dealer telephone numbers to fix, and then using a good honest garage or DIY to fix them to a high standard and make a killing ............. In a nutshell, buy for peanuts, be shrewd as to repair and prep costs & sell for big ££££££££££££££ If you want to see how not to do it read the "Mates" threads Oh and yeah love the Ex / "I got no income" bit, I did that for a year before it was all finalised

It's not BCA. People have stopped passing on invoices when they sell / part exchange. Digital and Online service histories are putting an end to all of that. If I get a book with multiple stamps from the same dealer I will ring them to verify that they have indeed seen that vehicle and done the work but I won't require copies of the invoices. If a customer wants to double check (as in IF THEY DON'T TRUST ME) they will be invited to ring that dealership themselves at some point between leaving their deposit and collecting the car. If a customer wants copies of service book in WhatsApps or emails before having left me a holding deposit I will usually NOT give out that information.

Thanks everyone. Very happy about the visit today. I'm doing the official complaint as we speak - highlighting the pair's undisclosed friendship backed up with a facebook print out showing the connection. Its getting posted to everyone in his email chain (the neighbours) and unlike him who omitted me, I'll also include him, the councillor in question and the council complaints department. Should stick a few wasps up arses - if nothing else. G

Hands up if you smoke around in an old shitter. Was just reminiscing about an 1999 406 HDI I had about 6 years or so ago. Took it in px and it stood me at the price of the 5 month tax disc that was in the window. Plan was to run it till it refused to go any further without spending a penny on repairs, never washed it, never locked it. I loved that car, it was so comfortable and went forever on £10. Mrs C hated it with a passion and im sure it was the talk of the neighbourhood for the wrong reasons. Was genuinely gutted when it finally died. The radiator sprung a leak, cracked a few eggs in to the expansion tank which seemed to keep it limping on for a few weeks. Had to carry many litres of water but the day finally came when it had to go. Scrap man crossed my palm with £150. Thats Bangernomics at its best. I do still have a soft spot for a shitter. I don't really have much interest in cars. My current smoker is a Caddy van, its a bit blinged for work purposes but certainly nothing fancy.

Unless you home is totally private, do not have mobile mechanics coming to your home fixing your cars, you'll be asking for aggro from your neighbours.

Hi PM I would not let this go.He had no right to get involved,he is from another ward,he embellished the complaint.I would report him to the Council Standards Committee and copy in all the other councillors.I would want to know all about this guy especially as he did not disclose that he knew your father.....Give him a headache !

Great result. Well done! As it should be. It’s good to stand up to these small minded insignificant failures in life. They think they’re it because they are councillors or whatever pathetic job title they have. Usually little angry men with a Napoleon complex and a dodgy browser history Anyway, for me, your best action is to be your usual nice self and smile and wave politely when you see your idiot neighbour. You’ve gotta live and work there so no point in continuing the unpleasantness He knows he’s a penis, as does everybody else no doubt.. they rarely have any friends etc. Good luck and I hope you crack on well now with the cars. Condolences about your Dad.

pissing contest ...................... Here's a good bit of advice, write to the ticket office and ask for a copy of the Scamera Photo, a lot of the newer Scameras will show clear as clear is clear who was driving the Car, and you are entitled to ask for that before pleading !! If it shows the nasty "Hairy Monster Thuggy Man", and obviously not you, then it's case dismissed BTW my significant other milf bit o' fanny doesn't usually wear knickers so I'm cool

Hey Del, Someone else posted up about bca Enfield offering a trial of gold membership if you agree to buying 3 cars within the first 3 months. A pal of mine contacted Enfield quoting this and they offered him the same deal. So worth a call to them and ask if they will do the same as the fees are a nice bit cheaper. BTW, welcome Paul and good luck with your start up matey.

The Nissan Makem factory is the most efficient in Europe. They have already been told that whatever happens with Brexit they will be looked after. This is more about Nissan angling for some sort of disguised government subsidy.Jaguar are doing the same.I think sales are down until the new emission rules are established, they are also down on the £30k Leaf.In the old days at Dagenham ,the way they did it when sales were down and stock was piled up,Ford just upset the unions and they called a strike.A couple of weeks of not paying wages saved them a fortune.

Anything unpredictable is not good for a business, so Brexit which of course is extremely unpredictable could have helped sway the decision.
