Painful, we have a pact I don’t go on her forums and she doesn’t come on mine thankfully.

Part of the registration form will ask for your current turn over and that’s the tricky moment for you right there. option 1 don’t declare and pray it doesn’t get noticed option 2 declare your previous fife years and u less your records are bomb proof you will get an estimated vat bill and be warned they won’t use lube when they enter you.
-
There is zero chance he isnt registered doing 10 a month surly ?
-
with that level of turnover stock and profit generated i dont think you need any advise from us, clearly the other way around. Your vat bill must be a killer.

Devils advocate here, i wouldnt bother you already have from what the sounds of it a ticket to print money, ask anyone on here car sales is no longer that, i would put my money into investing into new tech training courses for your staff on stuff your workshop doesnt cover then charge what ever you want, google car sales within a 30 mile radius and then say same search for canbus expert or automatic gear box experts the results i bet will raise an eye brow or two. Lastly i have found over the years if you have a good business and take your eye off the ball which buying cars is almost a full time job on its own you main business will suffer so you will end up with twice the work load but no where near twice the profit. A busy fool is still a fool. Happy new year.

This is an odd case, where as it wasn’t broke and didn’t need fixing the old platform was very good expensive stock but site wise easy to navigate clean and tidy.

Almost impossible to obtain that margin, flipping cars is an experienced outfit who has been in the trade for years hardly a newbie. auction houses will eat you up and spit you out before you even know what’s happened your more likely to lose £900 than you are to make it, try buying private allowing you to haggle hard and test drive the car must importantly avoid fees.

Doomed

I stand corrected you are 100% correct.

I think your on the wrong forum, on here you will mostly find people who buy and sell cars for a living not own them or form part of some VW love club, I have also owned two of them both of them where a complete hunk of junks, insane gear change which VW had to revisit with a clutch modification average ride and compared to other makes in the same price bracket and very basic in spec. As regards ratings ect again wrong forum as dealers we are concerned with how the product last sells and returns a margin none of which has to do with how many they sold or how much advertising VW spends in a magazine to get a good rating because of course that never happens. And i would never include the words reliable and VW in the same sentence.

I see your point and whilst i think it has a little legs i dont quite buy into it, so far all the add has done is get a few kids going wow nice motor and looking at the post it has had two posts for kids younger than my son tagging each other in saying one day, the way i see it they would have been better spending there budget on aiming a little higher in the age group to possibly obtain a sale after all that is the whole point of the system not to get a load of spotty kids excited, i would imaging the average user of that age friends list is going to be around about the same age group give or take. Regarding organic reach again i take your point but what is the point of reaching a load of customers who have almost zero chance of converting into a sale, I would much rather spend my money on target driven organic reach so i can convert likes and comments into sales.

It really is a trial and error and you would be amazed at the amount of crazy adds out there, my 18 year son old keeps getting a local company boosted adds in his news feeds for audi s5 m sport bmw,s even had a g wagon last week, what on earth is the point on targeting that age group they would never be able to insure the car in a million years even if they could finance the car up, complete waste of money time and effort.

Interesting never thought of it like that, i attended a lot of land auctions and the revenue are very hot if the land is purchased for a single private person or as a trade.
-
What other auctions do you wish to include, just wondering.

I often wonder the same thing myself, loads of people have tried over the years with big wallets and still didnt make a dent, put it down to a question bigger than my pay grade to fathom. -
If you add the below i will sign straight away audit on all car auctions to ensure everyone buying is paying there fair share of vat / taxes. Ensure all the major auction houses staff are trained in how to appraise a vehicle.

the whole system looks to me to have been set up by a ten year old.

Lots to pick from most of the top brands use the same internals, you will need to get a amplifier bypass kit to link up to your bose system or you will lose the rear Speakers and sub, armour automotive or connects 2 o good kits.

the second that fee comes into place i would be amazed how many people stay on there, i for one wont, could go one of two ways, cars on there become cheap as everyone has left or they carry on getting crazy money for most of the part junk.

Used car warranty period - By law what must be supplied?

I could read it all in one breath you must be getting old. -
Always in advance for me takes the pressure of trying to find parts if needed, plus as you mention the customer likes to see a good clean mot, less rushing around and sods law when you need something doing the mechanic is busy or any other million reasons not leave it until last minute. I dont buy into all this protect yourself from the nasty customer do your job right and your ok, yes you will always come across that one or in james case six nut jobs but no matter what bit of paper you have they will still be nut jobs in part most punters are ok.
