  1. James, Go to the Auctions and sometimes you just spot something that just looks nice. Might be a higher mileage E350 estate but it looks like its only done 60k sort of thing. You can't get excited about them as easily online. Or you spot a Kia like someone said above that looks cheap in the book and you think got to be a good profit in that. Good luck mate.
  2. Pre Safe functions Limited See Manual - CLA220 Auto with the Distronic feature. Any ideas before I book it into Merc for the customer?
  3. Same, every now and again get a big one and suck it up move on.
  4. Used to have someone do that on all our posts on facebook - Too Expensive / Huge Interest Rate / Making Personal comments etc... Had a look at his profile, ripped him humorously and then never heard any further. Its just banter really most of the time. If it is beyond that just block them or hide their comments.
  5. Jem Emirali at Aston Lark is also fantastic and knowledgeable and well worth askking.
  6. Sell it quick and hope the next customer pays for tax outright. Without adding a new keeper or registering it to yourself it will be tricky - I would register to you and then just do a change of name for the new keeper and say an admin error mistake occurred and send them a cover note and have it sorted.
  7. Speak to John France at Premier Insurance Brokers Winsford 01606 863400 Don't mess around with insurance make sure you are fully covered and legit its one area not to skimp.
  8. Were they a bit cheesy? I have never had a bottle of anything. One 60 year old man bought a Corsa VXR off us, gave us a box of celebrations and then turned into a customer from hell when he got his ruler out measuring panel gaps. Once got a £20 cash tip off someone. Never even had so much as a thank you card.
  9. Give them £1800 for it, Kesh is king. I used to buy private when starting off. Find the ones with bad pictures etc. Go and have a look and buy it if you can.

Put a simple question out on here / car dealer group facebook etc. Only answer if you used findandfund. How many cars did you sell from the platform? I don't know anyone that said it was performing well for them. Will this turn it around or is it a case of too little too late?
  11. Healthy start here and it feels nice to have the phone ringing, emails coming through ( even the stupid ones).
  12. Would there be money in them selling at that or is it just beyond any hope of achieving profit? I don't tend to follow any guides personally and don't mind paying well over for the right stock.
  13. Its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission
  14. You walnut believe some of the dead wood in the sales
  15. Interesting points Mark. Personally we prep our cars very highly and I would say nearly all the cars that come back during a warranty period sure as hell did not go out like that. Most recent I can think of is a Ford Galaxy where the fuel pump has packed in after 2 weeks. How could that have been prevented without the aid of mystic meg and her crystal ball. Anyway rather than say well PDI suggests its just packed in tough shit we say bring it back lets get it fixed. We talk the talk and big up the after care we offer so when stuff goes during the warranty period it gets sorted. If its outside of that we don't.
  16. If you start earlier, finish later and work harder it will work. Outwork others making smart decisions learning from the mistakes and you will do well. You seem very hungry for it I reckon you will do very well for what its worth. Having everything in house, or at least the ability to grow to doing everything in house keeps costs low and increases speed of prep which gives a big advantage. I have always tried to view it that my cars have always been back and on sale whilst others are waiting on delivery. Best of luck.
  17. For the cost over a year. Every 100 cars / 400/500 cars its not worth it. Imagine how much more you could do using the same fund using facebook / google adwords. In my opinion its a bit leaflet dropping or postcard in the newsagent window in a digital world.
  18. I would love one of these whenever I move to a new site. I would make sure its a good one with a dedicated zone but it is your shop window. If it was £15k would I actually do it though?
  19. That's why you are and will continue to do well mate. Quite nice when someone actually asks for advice on here and listens and it works and then they come back and post it worked. Not sure it happens much
  20. 31 so far with a few deposits and things waiting collection. Back to normal with plenty to do. The last couple of years September to December has gone busy for us dying down just before Xmas.
  21. Lets just say you got it inspected, and lets just say the OBD logged a fault or an independent engineer could demostrate it looked like the oil had not been touched in the whole time the car had been bought and it was run very low and this guy has essentially destroyed it through not following simple mechanical checks any responsible driver should do. Would you still be wanting to give a refund? I am not so sure I would....
  22. You get what you are given. New ones all have 2 keys but then again they are 3 times the price.... Most people get it, the odd one has a little whinge ( usually when part chopping something with 1 key ) if its a deal breaker then do it but generally don't bother.
