What price do you have in it at? I find if you are prepared to work on smaller margins you can flip them quickly but try for the fatter returns and they will sit and sit and sit. I used to buy them regularly but not so fussed now. It's okay working on a little less knowing you'll sell quickly but these are prone for a clutch and a leak here and there so all of a sudden there's nowt left!

After the positivity of last week this one has undone the good work. 8 appointments made in total , just the 1 turned up, didn't buy. sold cheapy p/ex, that's it. Can't predict anything at the minute. Nothing today except a collection from last Saturday. Dull.

We had an 06 with 80k on it and I thought the same. put it on at around £1800 and it sold within 3 hours and could have sold it 4 times.

Done another just and got two confirmed people coming back tomorrow. Been a great day here.

This sounds like another huge minefield for us. Guess we will have to MOT everything under the new regs to prove it left us in full working order. Then if there is a problem down the line we will have to assume it was removed later on?

I'm thinking of doing the same, or offering low ball and if I do get bitten at least I can get rid with no loss. Can't afford to have to write off £200/£300/£400 a couple of times a month...

I have had to take two part exchanges back as well, due to faults cropping up. Annoying but seems to be the biggest problem for me over the last 6-8weeks. Before that we had a great run but at the minute every part ex seems to turn to sh*t after I've had it for 24 hours.

Blanked the weekend but got one on the board this morning with a phone deposit, car isn't actually here yet. Thats the benefit of Autotrader unlimited stock, can put everything on thats due in - sold 3 that way this month before they've even got here.

He has a right to a fault free car WHEN he purchases it. If you can prove it was fault free at that point then you are in position of strength. you must correct him on that

Don't forget they say 'court action' to scare us but who really wants to go to court? They certainly don't. Even if they win it'd likely be a year before they see any money and in that time they can't use the car. Court is no win for anyone.

Generic letter, ignore it. If you google it or look on twitter there is more info about the letter you have had but it's tone and wording is strongly criticised.
