Same here. And i thought buying at the block was risky? Although if you have a small specialised shopping list and can afford to invest the time and miles. But still.....?
-
Would it not be better to pay someone to do the campers and you stick to the cars?
-
Totally agree. There's always been con men, nothing new there? I'm guessing that if you regularly source stock privately its one of the downsides. Apart from wasting hours driving around everywhere?

+1 Usually sorts the wheat from the chaff

Looks like it's driving out of a 'traveller site'

Although they failed to leave a dozen red roses on the drivers seat?

I don't drink or smoke either but my 'luxuries' are not motoring related

He's left a deposit on it!

I'm with you. Sadly, the cars I sell easily are of no interest to me other than profit. Cars I'm love are now way too valuable and inappropriate to 'smoke' around in. So I amuse myself by using whatever is safe and comfortable and stands me in the least! Bangernomics, I'm in! PS: Although if my present old Focus requires new o2 sensors it will have to go

99% of the time it runs fine but, randomly it will go bad. Do you think its strange that both front sensors have failed together?
-
I suppose your right to the keys is trumped by you not having the 'right' to use the road. Driving is not a right but a privelege. But its an interesting position all the same.

Are they sure it's the cooler not just the pipes? https://chryslerbreakers.co.uk/

Been smokin' around in yet another old Focus 2005 and been hammering up and down M1 last few weeks for various reasons racking up the miles. Yesterday it suddenly developed a stumble at idle along with flat performance that comes and goes (I thought it might be MAF). Codes are p0133 and p0153 "Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response". Some research has shown they could just be 'lazy' but it seems weird that both should fail together? What does the CDM collective think?

Peugeot 2008 Crossover Noise

I'm with you 99%, just not the Pagoda/Merc bit. In fact I've owned a 70s red 911 and I've been in a CV8 (nice noise). My first love is and has been classic Lotus. I've owned and driven most of them warts and all. But, as I've mentioned before I wouldn't want to sell them. These days I HATE having any money in a smoker. It's a standing joke in my family, the old shitters I tend to drive around in. Scat?
-
Another point to make is that personally although I love 'classics' I'd never want to sell them!

A 'Jeep health check', and they only found a trans cooler pipe leaking? Win!

It's an interesting position. If the main dealer finds a dangerous fault and refuses to hand the keys back the 'punter' kicks off shouting theft and calls the Police. Police will hand him the keys back and then tell him if he drives on "bald tyres" they'll have him?

Agree completely. In fact being an enthusiast often works against you

And storage and unlimited 're runs'

I wonder how long before they don't even bother giving you a 'print out' of the MOT certificate?
-
You don't know how true that is

My ex-wife ran a car hire business years ago. There are some big sharks swimming in those waters?
