  1. Ickk Zakk Early I thought A Frames and dollies went out with the Ark
  2. That is one of those horrible codes that could be a heap of things .............. It is telling you there is an anomaly with Fuel Pressure metering / regulation .................. Filter is cheapest and first thing to do !! After that, live data for Fuel Pressure, if it's low then check Injector Leak off, (spill test), if OK, Pressure regulator or Pump HTH,
  3. It was in the general Ilford area, I remember being late for the dyno, driving around totally lost in some housing estate for a while, didn't have chav nav's back then lol I'm surprised he didn't do that shortly after I left lol, he always used to talk about it
  4. De Cat picks up 25hp, stage 1 Tune releases another 35 brake, after that you need to uprate Fuel Pump etc. Mine was running custom management after the head work, l/c pistons, stumpy cam and supercharger went on, mapped by an American fella who was based in Essex, I forget where exactly now, he came recommended by Tom from Claremont Vettes. My old Gearbox fitter bought the Car. He hooned it a while then flogged it, have no idea where it is now .................. I'm guessing it's been stuffed up a tree or similar, just ran the Reg number, no longer found on Data base
  5. I've always had Snap On over the years, still have my old MT2500 Scanner, which has every possible Key and Pod and lead kit, including USA Cars and Asian Cars plus an All makes Pod (basically Hdd). Then I upgraded to the Solus Ultra Pro for Generic. After that I got delphi, mainly for Saab and Iveco which Snap On wouldn't do, and last year I looked at new Snap On, compared it to the Autel and now my latest generic is the top end Autel, hell that will even do some stuff like recoding a Merc PSE Pump etc etc ................. IMHO Snap On is good but like all Snap On, it's way overpriced, especially as its made in Chinesia these days The Autel is my weapon of choice these days Mark101 's view above is very well put in few words
  6. There you go another vote for Autel, they are the best Generic at the moment for under 2k, have been for a year or 2 now What are your Workshop using at the moment Umesh ? Do you do all makes or just stick to say Germans, or French, etc etc all things that need weighing up, if you just do German for example I'd advise an up to date Autel with scope function, then get clone SDS, and VAG Com, INPA ISTA is a bit obsolete now except for programming F's, but I'm told the new Autel will do that You see how muddy the waters are, trouble is no one machine does every make and every fault, programming etc etc I can see the appeal of the Snap On if you aren't the guy footing the bill Trouble is like all other Snap On Diagnostic's it will be obsolete in a few years when the new model comes out !!
  7. I looked at that, then I spent £600 updating my 4 year old Snap On Solus Ultra Pro I repair Electronics at a very advanced level, and I wouldn't use most of it It will never be as good as Dealer Level. Personally if you are after a really good top end Machine go for the top of the range Autel Machine, it's around £1900 and IRL will do far more than the Snap On will, which costs many times more The Snap On has a lot of bells and whistles which you don't need, and the Help Line is a waste of space if you have google !! Finally, Snap On will wan't you to pay them so much a month DD as a subscription for s/w updates............ Yeah, fuck that for a game of soldiers ............ Far better ways to spend that sort of dosh ................... Bosch KTS, Autologic etc etc, but I wouldn't Seriously, look at the top end Autel Kit , very good https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autel-Maxisys-908Pro-J2534-F-BMW-ECU-Programming-Car-Full-System-Diagnostic-Tool/362557934097?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D56580%26meid%3D92ae362b8a5a45ad884c61d1646fa0a4%26pid%3D100008%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D253991096667%26itm%3D362557934097&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219 HTH
  8. Hmmmmm yeah, I can see that impressing a billy , but us in the motor trade are hardly likely to pay more for it, we all know why they are called main stealers When I had the Trans firm, if I was fitting a transmission to one of my sales cars I'd never paint the box, other traders used to ask me to do the same On the other hand Billy Bunters who'd paid for a Transmission job would be most impressed with bright shiny silver casings and satin black tin pans / cover plates and external bolts that had been "wire wheeled" to look like new
  9. You're a Trader and you need others to supply an EBay number and have never heard of Dronsfields .......... FFS Do you not have google and / or a EBay search button ???????????????? Biggest UK Independent MB Specialist / Breaker, been using them for donkeys !!
  10. Yes, this /\ /\ /\ Most of these fucktards have good earning jobs and wouldn't get out of bed for less than £250 a day, but because you are a mate / relly they expect you to I don't like most of my relatives, I have thousands of acquaintances (both business and pleasure), and a handful of very good friends. I would sell anything to / repair anything for the acquaintances, at my Retail ££££££££s ................... The family that I really like & my few good friends, if I thought they really needed it, I'd do it for nowt, have done when need arises ................ But they know that and wouldn't expect me too, so they don't ask !! ................ Also, I know they would and have done the same for me
  11. /\ /\ /\ Exactly this ............... OK I hear that it's a BMW Engine, otherwise I'd have said there is new Engines and there's new Engines, and there is Engine Fitters and there is Engine Fitters. You have also broken the golden rule ............. Never do business with friends and family, you are already thinking of giving him more than you would ordinarily pay I'm not taking the piss here BTW, HTH
  12. Yeah sorry guys I hadn't realised that, was on Isle of Skye Rally Club group, go back to my OP I've stuck up the original URL should work now Turn the sound up on the Video box first, it reverts to muted ................ Priceless
  13. /\ /\ /\ like Ha ha ha, I should have known better, yes of course, you are quite correct, that will be about the one and only time that it is worth doing, an Electrically good injector with a Mechanical Fault Of course, I know you will have cleared out the codes after testing I had to do the same on a Kia Sportage a few weeks back
  14. Yep, I think we've all been their done that and got the T Shirt, gave that lark up when I was in my early 20's
  15. LOL My god that is such a pet hate of mine, and has absolutely no place on the modern motor car What do you hope to gain by that ???????????? It proves nothing, all it does is puts a whole bunch of "red herrings" in there which means for the Car owner at least an extra hour or 2 work by the professional that ends up having to fix it
  16. I got most of the Tuning Parts from the good 'ole US of A, including the huffer kit, absolutely brutal it was just running an 8 psi boost
  17. Hmmmm in this case the OP said there was a light on, if a light is on READ IT !! An Exhaust flows Air, I reckon that Fuel Trim Data and Airflow Data would indicate a blockage, also pressure sensor readings on a DPF equipped weasel Of course the operator would need to know what Airflow and trims he should be seeing, and that I'm afraid only comes with years of experience
  18. I rue the day I sold my ZX12R , bought it new in 2002, flogged it just before we moved to NW, mods included de- restricted, really decent Exhaust, Can, Airbox, Power Commander and mapped at Ashford Powerhouse, 202 BHP, really torquey bastard, out run any 'Busa and it would wheelie off the throttle in 3rd gear I did a few Track Days at Brands with it, never dropped it, gorgeous metallic Blue colour Mel and I would be 2 up and piss all over the 1000 Gixer boys riding solo Goddam I miss that rush, saw 185 mph on it once, never did have it flat out, Bike Mag reckoned they were good for 215 mph average two ways down a runway !! If I'd kept it I'd probably be in jail or dead by now, it was one of those bikes that just wanted to do 160 everywhere lololol The Black Firebird in the background was mine, 800 BHP Small Block all alloy LT1 motor, 1996 model T Top, sold that up as well when we moved, was really almost undriveable in the wet lol
  19. Yep, it was Early Shoot All vehicles returned to their rightfuls, the Honda starts first hit and drives like the dream it is advertised as, one very happy owner. Vauxhall Lambda took longer to plug in Snap On and clear the code than it did to fit the new post CAT O2 Sensor lmao, and the good old V10 Touareg played nice and went home this morning to it's happy owner without lights and warning messages on it's clustermabob I'm on project SLK today hopefully have fully working Steering Wheel Buttons by tomorrow
  20. Answer is easy really, plug it in or play parts darts and waste money
